Tom Brady wasn't "Tom Brady" for that first Pats Super Bowl win. He was the definition of a game managing QB. That was an amazing coaching job by Belichick - same with his gameplan in Super Bowl XXV.

Do you not understand that maybe the family wants to grieve in peace? Or they do not want a bunch of strangers passing judgment on their son on Twitter? If the family truly believes there's something to be gained by releasing information, then they'll do it. They shouldn't do it to satisfy the macabre curiosity of a bunch of strangers.

I know you feel passionately about your position, but I disagree (and I really don't care about Nate or how he's perceived). It wasn't about the team WANTING him to be anything. We didn't have a great QB situation at the time and Peterman went out and won those jobs with his preseason play. Check out his preseason stats from his first three years, especially his second year where he earned the starting nod (and at that time the team didn't WANT him to be anything which is why they drafted Josh and signed McCarron). https://www.footballdb.com/players/nathan-peterman-peterna01 Thousands of guys wouldn't have outplayed Josh and McCarron or put up those types of preseason stats...lol. That is just such ridiculous hyperbole, I can't let it slide. Look around the NFL at the preseason QBs chucking it around in the 3rd and 4th quarters of those games. There are some absolutely horrid guys out there by NFL standards that are getting shots to put themselves on film. Nate was a mistake in that he didn't work out for the Bills, but you can say the same of 95% of QBs drafted in the 4th round or lower.

Don't get me wrong, he sucks by starting QB standards (possibly the worst game 1 starter in NFL history), and we get that you absolutely hate him, but to say he doesn't deserve to be in the NFL and there are "thousands of guys" as good or better than him is wrong. He earned the right the same as any other player who made it to the top level. Everything he showed us during camp and preseason during his first two years said that this was a guy who was going to be, at worst, a capable backup in the NFL. Obviously, when the regular season bullets began to fly, his brain seemed to malfunction and you clearly couldn't put him on the field for more than a series or two (if that) before he became rattled and began vomiting the ball over to the opponent. I don't want him on this team ever again, but I don't doubt that he can serve some purpose as a mentor and practice arm in the mold of Barkley - another guy who has been kept around with zero intention of him ever seeing the field. Again, I agree with you that he was absolutely horrible when he saw the field in the regular season. There is no denying that - both stats and eyeballs confirmed.

Wow. Looking at the full practice squad roster now. That's a nice list of players. More than half of these guys would probably be starters on some of the drought teams.

Same here. I got it in July, the weekend of the British Open. Cold coming on feel on Friday night, strong flu like symptoms on Saturday, then a regular cold with a terrible sore throat for 3 days, and then I was basically fine and riding my bike and playing in our men's club championship by that next Saturday and back to work on Monday. I was still testing positive 6 days after all symptoms had subsided (was testing every other day out of curiosity, never did get a negative test).

I didn't realize he was 36. Completely understandable that he doesn't want to uproot his family to sign w/Buffalo. OTOH, punting on the team that finally brings the Lombardi to your hometown...

For all his purported smarts, he could never process what was in front of him. Give him a clean pocket and wide open receivers and he looked amazing. Sort of like Rob Johnson except Johnson would eat the ball and take sack after sack, whereas Rosen would just aimlessly chuck it into the middle of the field when under duress. Not going to get in the good graces of too many coaches with that approach.

OJ Howard sucks. Not sure why we even signed a guy after an achilles injury.

Pretty sure the thought is that Duke Johnson or Blackshear would fill his role. I think both of those guys would be fine as rotational backs, but that leaves the Bills without a tough, short yardage, "power" back, which is what they view Moss as. Moss was pretty decent in that role as a rookie, but failed pretty miserably last year in those situations.

Numbers are definitely up since the pandemic began. There's no denying that. And there's plenty of potential reasons for the rise in crime (which I won't name, but that both sides of the political spectrum like to spout as gospel) that we need to analyze the data on further before drawing any firm conclusions. I just take issue with the histrionics displayed by folks who call crime "out of control" as if we've descended into some Judge Dredd style nightmare. I suspect they live far too much through television news and social media.

Up? Yes. But those numbers do not signal "out of control.".
