  1. So f'ing irresponsible on the part of the Dolphins! I'm seriously pissed off right now for Tua.
  2. Middle of the field would be WIDE OPEN. Dirty and Knox would absolutely feast in that scenario.
  3. I agree. Throws a very catchable ball. Catchable for everyone on the field.
  4. Miami is a very average team who will regress to the mean. If we can get, and remain, relatively healthy, we should still win this division by 2 games in the standings.
  5. I'd call the Dolphins punting one, unpressured, off of a guy's butt for a safety with less than two minutes remaining to cut it to 2 a "break" for the Bills. Could have been a better break, but a break nonetheless. But other than that? Yeah, we didn't have much in the way of luck.
  6. Best case scenario would have been if the ball had lodged in the blocker's backside and he fell over just outside of the endzone. Then we would have gotten great field position and a lengthy rest while they stopped play to extract the ball.
  7. What do you mean? The 2022 Dolphins are #1 in the Power Rankings!!!
  8. The bigfoot example is still inane and doesn't apply. We have zero evidence of bigfoot or yeti or whatever existing. We have seen plenty of incidences where people, including football players, spew racist garbage (see Riley Cooper). So, of course it's possible (i never said "likely") he said what Garrett accuses him of. I neither believe nor disbelieve Garrett (or Rudolph). The truth is we will never know for certain what was or wasn't said, so I'm not going to cast aspersions on either guy with regard to that aspect (the alleged racial slur) of the larger incident (violent brawl).
  9. Not really following the bigfoot example. The NFL came out and said they had zero audio of the incident, so they couldn't verify one way or the other. They said there are mics on the lineman that catch ambient noise presnap, but don't catch anything later. And apparently Rudolph had switched to a replacement helmet without a mic in it. I'm not saying either guy is right or telling the truth, and what Garrett did afterwards by attempting to kill Rudolph with his helmet was outrageous and certainly assault. I'm just saying we will never know. I agree that if Garrett is lying about this (and he may be), then it is disgusting and reflects extraordinarily poorly on his character. I had an incident in college where a hometown buddy of one of my roommates came into my room (my roommate/his friend left for about 10 minutes) and unprovoked started spewing antisemitic and other offensive things to my other, Jewish, roommate. When I called him out and told him to STFU with his bigoted nonsense, he tried to instigate a fight with me and yelled in the dorm, loud enough for everyone to hear, that I was a racist and "acting my color." Honestly, one of the most anger inducing experiences in my life being falsely called out by this guy who was a total *ss and bigot.
  10. Do we know definitively that Rudolph didn't say something inappropriate? We only have their words to go off of. Something seriously set off Garrett in that instance, and I don't recall him going insane like that before or after that incident. Yes, if he in fact lied about it, then he's a pathetic human, but the only ones who will ever know for sure are him and Mason Rudolph.
  11. I'd give them the Cody Ford pick for a Barkley rental.
  12. The nice thing is it seems that lately the thread titles very explicitly describe the moronic content that lies within them, so you can easily just skip/ignore these threads.
  13. Yes, and that's why you always hear the play-by-play guys point out the need to roll extra help towards those backups with a RB or TE. And that's just when a single guy is missing from the line. You lose 4 guys and it's going to be an absolute jailbreak on every play.
  14. Not sure it's that simple. The short passing game was working and we did roll up 497 yards. We just couldn't make the key plays when we needed to starting with the final drive of the 1st half. And from listening to Eric Wood during and after the game, the running game was severely hamstrung by the injury situation, especially at center. We really had to condense the playbook and we were honestly better off just having Josh catch it in shotgun and play sandlot football at that point.
  15. I agree and we were mostly fine the first two games, despite Donald and Simmons pushing us around a bit. We were horrible on Sunday, but there were obviously entenuating circumstances. It's too much to expect to be able to go 2 (or 3) deep at every OL position without a significant dropoff. Also, I'm not going to pretend that our run game has been good, but it's worth noting that the Rams and Titans were two of the better run defenses in the NFL last year, so it made sense to focus on attacking them in the passing game. The Dolphins game just needs to be thrown out due to the injuries.
  16. They were about to announce his signing, but he broke his hand when they gave him the pen.
  17. Am I concerned about Elam? Yes, I'm concerned about the future health of any member of the Bills secondary.
  18. He looked fine to me. I looked the same way about 40 minutes after the loss and I didn't have a concussion.
  19. Thanks for the list. I'll feel a ton better about Sunday if we can sign a veteran CB (Rhodes) and if Oliver and Poyer can go. Then I like our chances. Have we heard anything on Dane's progress? Would think it's just a matter of soreness if there's no actual breaks or anything, no?
  20. Yeah, that's my worry as well. Putting your body through that level of physical and mental torture takes a real toll and requires serious recovery. I'm more than a little worried about how we are going to come out against the Ravens on Sunday. And that's not even considering all of the actual physical injuries we are suffering from.
  21. Yeah, that's brutal. I remember the first time experiencing heat like that when I was 18 and on a senior trip to Cancun in early July. We stepped off the plane onto the tarmac and I was gasping for air. I actually thought I might suffocate and wondered how I was going to survive an entire week down there. Turns out you can pull it off with ocean water and tequila.
  22. More proof that the team (and us fans) just need to flush this game and forget about it.
  23. It was an old school "let 'em play" type of game, which explains a clearly concussed quarterback playing an entire half of football. Well, it was clearly "let 'em play" until there was about 18 seconds left on the clock.
  24. Would love to hear a take on that play from one of the actual rules officials. It was definitely a close call. I wonder if it had been called a touchdown if it would have withstood a Dolphins challenge. In super slow motion it looks like he secures the ball and "completes the catch", but in real time it looked like a bang-bang play where the ball pops free right near the end of completing the catch. I just don't think it was ever going to be overturned.
  25. Kudos to the Dolphins. They squeaked out a 2 point home win against a ridiculously depleted Bills team through some key plays and a ton of luck. To the winner go the spoils, but anyone who actually believes that the Phins are the best team in the league or somehow better than Buffalo are delusional. On a neutral field with neutral conditions and a halfway healthy roster, the Bills win by 2 touchdowns (if not more).
