  1. I'm not a Moss hater, but how has this been his "most promising season?" Outside of his one big run, he's averaging around 2.5 ypc. And his 7 catches have netted a total of 27 yards. That's the definition of stuck in quicksand, aka late career Frank Gore. I thought he flashed at times as a rookie back in 2020 (I'm one who gave him a pass for last season since he was coming off injury), but he just looks bigger and slower to me now than he was back in college and in 2020. Having said all that, I'm still okay with him receiving reps over Cook based on what we've seen from Cook so far. I at least trust Moss not to make negative plays.
  2. I feel like the Hamlin play has gone a little overlooked. It was a hell of a play not to freeze, but attack LJ and funnel him towards Poyer.
  3. This isn't a political post - just an observation - but I've seen many women/wives (okay, a lot of people regardless of gender) change drastically over the past few years in their behavior and world views. I'm seeing a lot of guys I know getting sort of blindsided by divorces or otherwise walking a very fine line trying to keep their marriages/families intact. It doesn't surprise me one bit that this is happening to Brady.
  4. Part of the problem is that Moss runs too upright. Singletary is better in those situations since he can get low and really drive forward with his legs.
  5. Singletary has crazy wiggle and can make guys miss in tight spaces at a truly elite level. He's one of the rare guys who can actually produce marginally competent numbers behind this line. I just went back and watched Moss's college tape. He had good vision, decent wiggle and really nice power for his size in college. I was a big fan of his when they drafted him, but he just can't seem to ever find a hole in the pros. Not sure if the speed is too much for him at this level, but he doesn't look like the same guy to me.
  6. Frazier and staff sure as hell know how to coach these guys up. Remember that Hyde and Poyer were seen as JAGs before Frazier and Co. got their hands on them.
  7. Yeah, it speaks for itself, but I wonder how we fare if you throw out the Miami game.
  8. Josh said almost the exact same thing about Moss: "I guess I'll try to say a little about what he is, who he is and what he does for this team,” Allen said after his team’s rain-soaked, 23-20 victory against the Baltimore Ravens. “I urge everybody that's watching football, if you're a young kid, if you're in college, whatever, you turn on Zack Moss tape and you watch him, how he plods to the ball, whether he's got it or not. He rarely makes it downfield, so he's not picking guys up like Devin, but he's fairly adequate at chip blocks and pass pro in practice. He's running 1-2 yards, mostly in the backfield, and coming right back and running another 1-2 yards on his next carry. “The dude, all he does is remain stationary and that's why his name is ‘Moss’ and he lives up to the name. I can go on and on about the type of person he is, but you see the tape each week. I just try to endure the moments when the kid is in the game.”
  9. Yeah, the lack of any word on his status is a bit alarming. Given the complete radio silence, it's hard to imagine we'll see him in the next two weeks. Just hoping we see him on the field at some point this season.
  10. I was just thinking about how Cook had been training with Devin Singletary the past couple of offseasons, and Devin had good things to say about him. But maybe Devin just talked him up and recommended him to Beane because he knew the kid didn't have what it took to steal his job. 😄
  11. 3 INTs in one half against the Jets? Let's do our friend, Nathan Peterman, a favor and erase his name from the record books.
  12. I was at that game with my Dad. Really fun game with all of the offense. We really felt unstoppable back then. Good times.
  13. That's similar to my hourly rate if someone wants to get up close and personal. Just remove the comma and replace with a decimal point.
  14. I'm inclined to rest them through the bye if that ensures that they are truly 100% against Green Bay. I think we can win the Pittsburgh game without them and KC is going to be a tough game with or without them. I normally wouldn't think this way, but this isn't a normal season we've had so far.
  15. For whatever reason, there is some tell when Moss gets carries because the defenders are typically in his lap within a single step. Running back success and failure is like 90% on the O-Line. I still think he's an average NFL RB and better than he's shown so far.
  16. Don't forget about the ankle. He had an ankle injury too, and we see how long that's kept out Ed Oliver.
  17. He's been really good. So far, seems like he's a significant upgrade from Haack (who would scare the S out of me every time he took the field).
  18. After seeing that, I'm less inclined to give Knox grief about his effort. He was clearly going into jump and body catch (protect the ball) mode right as Campbell tipped that ball. After that, it was like trying to hit a knuckleball. Think the ball just fluttered away from him. That was just a good play by Campbell and Humphrey. It happens.
  19. Okay, maybe not "all", but many were citing it as a major need (along w/an outside WR, true).
  20. Well, we did get one and his name is Khalil Shakir. I think we were fine at wideout until the injury bug hit us. The Cook pick looks baffling now, but we were all calling for a hybrid/3rd down back leading up to the draft. It's early, but we might have just drafted the wrong guy. And I'm okay with the Bernard pick. He flashed in preseason and I suspect he's going to be a fan favorite down the road. He's just buried behind Edmunds and Milano at the moment. As we've seen this year, injuries occur pretty frequently in this league and we know Milano has been nicked up and missed plenty of time in prior seasons. As much as I hate to say it, it's likely just a matter of time before Bernard is seeing a couple of starts at LB.
  21. Speaking of dropped "gimme" interceptions, if Patrick Queen makes that easy pick with 1:03 left in the first half, we most likely don't walk out of Baltimore with the win. That was a huge break for the Bills that no one seemed to mention post game.
  22. Bit of an overreaction there. Not saying they might not be the best team in the league, but you act like they didn't just "piss all over themselves" a week before against the Colts, when they turned it over twice and ran for 58 yards at a 2.5 ypc clip. It's a week to week league, and we'll find out where we stand vis-a-vis the Chiefs this year soon enough.
  23. I expect that McDermott is focused on winning the larger war, not a single longshot battle in enemy territory. I can't imagine any scenario where they trot White out in Arrowhead for his first game action. I'm hoping we start to see him sprinkled in for some reps starting with the Green Bay game and then slowly ramp him up from there.
  24. I don't understand this thinking at all. Hamlin and Johnson have been in the Bills system for years and have filled in admirably when called upon. I don't see any situation where Benford unseats them, especially this season. Now, if you want to start converting Benford to serve as a backup to these guys in case of further injury, then I get that.
  25. Would love to see all 5 of those dudes healthy and on the field for the Bills come January.
