  1. I agree, Logic. At first I was a little underwhelmed by the drawings, but the more I think about it, this design seems to split the difference of the dome vs. open air crowd - in a good way. It should be infinitely more comfortable than the current stadium, while, first and foremost, maintaining a true outdoor football atmosphere. As much as I like the idea of the comfort of a dome, I've almost always come away from domed games feeling really negative about the whole in person watching experience. Domes just feel dark, sterile and lacking in energy.
  2. I don't view either of these teams as any real threat to us in the division this year, so I'm not looking at it from the "create space in standings" perspective. I want the Jets to win to raise their fans expectations and to make next week a "big game" nationally, so there's more eyeballs on the Bills when we destroy the Jets at their place.
  3. I'm confident, but without at least a little fear of losing to the other team (manufactured or otherwise), what fun is there in watching sports? It's a lot more fun to watch your team stampede over their foes if you haven't convinced yourself that it was an inevitability to begin with.
  4. If the recovery timetable is a truly fluid situation (which it seems to be), then why make a promise that you may not be able to keep to appease a few whiny fans? Coach McDermott seems to be handling it perfectly.
  5. Sucks for the kid, but at least ACL's aren't career enders. Here's to a full and speedy recovery.
  6. Why? They are clearly taking the smart approach of slowly ramping him up to full speed. If getting him fully 100% healthy and in game shape means another 4 weeks on the inactive list, that's fine with me. We need him in January.
  7. Lol, "best team". These guys are all chasing the Bills, thus, the moves you're seeing, and Rapoport knows it.
  8. Bump...looks like Josh has finally converted one of his last haterz, Steven Ruiz. Wow, how his write up on Josh has changed from preseason. Fully acknowledges Josh's "God Mode" abilities. https://qbrankings.theringer.com/
  9. What a friggin punk. Funny thing is that the first athlete that came to mind when watching this was former Duke cheap shot artist Greyson Allen. Got me thinking it might be a southern boy thing and then when I pulled up their profiles in Wiki, I see that both of them were born and raised in Jacksonville, FL. So, maybe it's just something in the water there.
  10. Holy cow. Tough three years for the guy, but sounds like he's currently cancer free, so that's the silver lining I guess.
  11. LOL. You think Beane and McDermott were "duped" by Knox, a guy who they've been able to watch closely everyday for three years? I'm pretty sure they knew exactly what they were getting and I'm guessing they have zero regrets paying a guy what will soon be mid-tier TE money to serve as a very good all-around TE on the best offense in the NFL.
  12. I think those who disagree with you, myself included, would point to the overwhelming success of the passing game this year. Knox is a part of that. He's a legitimate weapon who teams have to account for which helps open up the entire field for all of our other playmakers as well. Do you really think you could put a Tommy Sweeney in there with zero dropoff? I agree with you that the production hasn't been there yet this season, but I view that as more of a usage issue than anything performance based. But we've already seen Knox's importance and reliability with his huge grabs against KC and Baltimore that helped us win those games. I suspect we will see a bump in production in the near future. If not, and he continues on this current pace and posts 320 receiving yards, then you can come back in here and take a victory lap.
  13. And we still have to remember that he was a low floor/high ceiling project who has improved each and every year (book is still out on this season as there's 11 games to play)? We aren't just paying for what he was in his first three seasons, but who he can (and I believe will) become in the next 4-5.
  14. Like, what's the deal with a rich NFL player driving around in a car with no plates with uzi's? Is it just a fool playing "gangsta" with their friends? I'd say it was just an act and a way to feel cool and keep it real, but Clark has multiple arrests in his past (felony home invasion and beating his girlfriend). I'm guessing it's not just poor judgement, but that he's actually a "bad guy."
  15. Don't forget the Pulitzer for re-writing the NFL record books.
  16. This doesn't move the needle for me. SF overpaid. They still don't have a QB, and their best players are oft injured.
  17. It's actually both. Like both of the men have said all along.
  18. If the Bills had beaten Miami like they should have, this wouldn't even be a question. Look at SOS, point differential and who each team has behind center. You'll find your answer there.
  19. I'm not a big fan of Johnny come lately takes. Josh has been better this year, but I still view these guys as about even. But more than anything, it was nice to see Mahomes fail in the clutch for once against us. Gives me confidence that we can actually beat him if/when he rolls into town during the playoffs.
  20. To be fair, it seems to be the father of the kid on the far right begging Josh to also sign his son's jersey (you can see him dangling it). I've never been the type to do that, but I get a Dad trying to get a special moment for his son.
  21. Even if we fall short of the ultimate goal this year, I hope the Pegulas don't think of doing something stupid and firing McDermott. The guy is a hell of a coach and is as responsible as anyone for this wonderful football team we have in front of us. I remember when the Chargers fired Marty for Norv Turner after a 14-2 season, and it ended up being a ruinous decision. Stay the course. McDermott will win a SB. I firmly believe that. One of the very finest coaches in the game today.
  22. 5-1 with only two home games. Slayed our three biggest AFC threats over the past two years (KC, Tenn, Balt). All that while weathering a storm of critical injuries. By the way, +66 point differential at home and we have a lot of home games on the way. Hard not to love where we sit at the bye.
  23. This thread continues to age well
