  1. If he was such a good guy, why was he luring a young kid to the edge of a dangerous balcony, huh? Am I doing this right?
  2. How did the Ravens lose 4 games? They look like the best team in the AFC to me.
  3. Lol. He's not hanging. He's suspended by his back. It's a gosh darn joke and not in any way meant to invoke lynching. Christ. The level of outrage farming and pearl clutching today is nearly unbearable.
  4. Once in real time. Missed the replay because I was hugging everyone around me.
  5. I thought he looked great on film and would be a perfect fit for this defense. Same thing with the Shakir pick. You could see that both of them were just "football players."
  6. I think he's trying to punch the ball out. Unfortunate for Josh, and should have been a penalty, but I don't think there was an intent to injure. Just a guy trying to make a play.
  7. We were injured during those two games. Defense had a bunch of holes. On offense, Shakir was beat up for most of the Ravens game and out against Houston. If we enter relatively healthy when we play them in the playoffs, I like our chances.
  8. Hell yes! That's the young core of the future. Arguably the heart and soul of the team outside of Josh.
  9. He's not perfect, but he's the best player on the planet. Most fun to watch too.
  10. I think he was exhausted after being held there and then he didn't want to overrun the play and let Mahomes escape. Gets a pass as far as I'm concerned.
  11. Lamar is killing it this year. Even if they don't win the division he deserves it as of today.
  12. Yep. Probably need to dumb it down for the younger QB and add additional protections. Less receivers running routes and they are easier to cover.
  13. True, but you're looking at 1st and 30, and I'm sure there was an aspect of demoralization after what had just occurred.
  14. I've been saying it for a good year. Tough. Great hands. Good route runner. Not afraid to go over the middle. And he's great with the YAC. Reminds me of someone.
  15. I'm not really feeling SB with this team. Too many holes in the middle/back end of the defense, and an injury or two in those areas puts us back to where we were against the Chiefs in the playoffs last season. We are only a few weeks removed from getting our teeth kicked in by the Ravens. It's gonna take a longer streak of strong performances to make me forget about that one. Win 4 of the next 6, with at least one of those wins coming against the Chiefs or Lions and I'll reconsider. Having said that, I fully expect us to Squish the Fish this weekend and run away with the AFC East.
  16. Good guy. RIP John.
  17. That's how Josh baits the fish. Then he sticks em between the bread and has himself a snack.
  18. There is not a single person in the world that is trying to inhibit or shame anyone from using "spasm" in any of those contexts. Let's not be disingenuous.
  19. I argued with my wife that I wasn't thinking of it in that context, but more generally as "spasm" which can occur with a variety of medical conditions that don't necessarily have disabled vs abled baggage. For instance, I frequently suffer muscular spasms and cramps during and after exercise due to cancer treatments (radiation) I received in my youth. I personally didn't find using the term to mean "involuntary freakout" (which is how I used to use it) offensive within that framing, but upon reflection I totally understood how offense could be taken by those living with cerebral palsy, since spastic diplegia is a defining and ever present feature of the condition. Point being - I no longer use the term.
  20. Correct. Which is why I voted "yes." Not because I believe it, but because I was filled with contrarian annoyance that someone bothered to post such a thread to begin with.
  21. I remember Beyonce getting dragged pretty hard for it a couple of years back and retroactively removing it from one of her songs. I'm a free speech guy and generally abhor cancel culture, but, if we are being honest, the use of the word "spaz" is offensive and should generally be avoided in polite conversation. I've used it for years without much thought, but my wife has corrected me enough times that I'm generally able to catch myself now.
