True. We've played a really tough schedule so far, and our 3 losses are by a combined 8 points to teams with a current aggregate record of 25-11. If we get home field advantage, we will have really earned it.

Just rewatched the play and now I understand what the OP is saying. Mac Jones is actually falling back into the end zone on his own accord before any contact is made by a defender. He does release the ball outside of the end zone and before Groot gets to him, so obviously no safety, but if he holds onto it instead there appears to have been a decent chance he would have fallen flat on his azz in the end zone before being touched. So yes, the throwaway conceivably could have saved the two points there.

To be honest, I probably didn't pay too much attention to Gabe's route running his first two years, but watching him this season, it just doesn't look very precise - everything looks very slow and "rounded.". I assumed it was lingering issues with the high ankle sprain, but maybe he's always been this guy? If that's the case, we definitely need another no. 2 type.

As others have said, I'm okay with the penalty (and ejection I guess) and I'm okay with the hit. NFL does need to protect these guys from getting their heads knocked off, but Hamlin is just reacting instinctually in the moment to stop a touchdown. I don't think he's trying to hurt the guy.

I agree. Who cares if he's juggling it. So long as the receiver possesses the ball at the end and it never hits the ground they should just award a catch. That would make things clear as day. The two feet rule can remain - the receiver just needs to have two feet in when initially possessing the ball even if later movement occurs when they hit the ground.

I love this guy so much. Might be my favorite Bill of all time. Getting him and Allen at the same time in history is basically heaven on Earth for a Bills fan.

I was just about to post a Diggs thread. He's absolutely Hall-worthy if he can keep this up for a couple more seasons. This guy is the most skilled WR to ever don a Bills jersey.
