  1. Miami was thoroughly dominated tonight. Outgained 2-to-1, only 20 mins of TOP, and ran 30 less plays than the Chargers. Completely destroyed if not for that fluke TD.
  2. Speed kills
  3. Just gonna be a bunch of big ol dogs in his chest on film.
  4. Poor guy is dying out there. Holding on for dear life to his NFL dream.
  5. Not gonna lie, and I never thought I'd say this, but I was more than a little nervous watching Mike White jog back onto the field. This guy is not going down until we "finish him".
  6. Not sure McKenzie has hands. Think he might just have two arms and a chest.
  7. He was in the pocket dude.
  8. Jesus. White got killed there. Tough dude and he was playing really well. Hope it's not serious. Just take the rest of the day off and rest up for next week, buddy.
  9. Embarrassing way to piss away all momentum. Infuriating
  10. Great start to the half, fellas. Geez
  11. We should throw it to that guy more
  12. We are holding on every single play. I'm starting to think our oline is a real issue
  13. Can't wait for our new open air stadium!!!!
  14. Agree, House. A real dumbflick.
  15. I'm not against this, but drafting a WR in the first round doesn't guarantee they'll find success. A fourth round guy like Gabriel Davis has outperformed many first round draft picks over the past handful of years. We look at the Chase's and Jefferson's and think that kind of production is a given if we move up and take a WR in the early to mid first round, but for every mega success, there's two Sammy Watkins, Nelson Agholor, Corey Coleman, Jerry Jeudy, John Ross, Henry Ruggs, etc. I'm okay sticking with Beane's BPA drafting strategy, since it's made us one of the best teams in the league.
  16. Donuts, thanks for posting the catch percentage numbers. I don't think you can draw too many conclusions from those though, because those numbers are greatly influenced by the types and depth of routes these guys are being targeted in, and the quarterback play they are paired with.
  17. There's a handful of really tall, lean, bendy and/or extraordinarily strong physical freak receivers who can pull off the acrobatics to which you're referring, and, yeah, we really don't have that type of player on the current roster. But our guys make plenty of tough catches in tight spaces, especially Diggs. Unless I'm forgetting someone, the last Bill that could really consistently beat a db for a 50/50 ball was probably Moulds?
  18. Thanks Chaos. I'm not sure how much we can glean from this in evaluating the coaches, especially those with less experience, but it's interesting nonetheless. It would appear that a ratio of around 1.0 is the baseline for "success" and maintaining your job after a few years.
  19. Welp, this moron is officially dead to me now.
  20. (EDIT: DISREGARD - I see them on PFR) Hey CB, where do you get the snap percentage stats? I see them posted here from time to time and would love to be able to geek out on those sometime.
  21. Yep. His best game and he dropped a very catchable pass or he would have gone over 100 yards on the day. But I agree, he's only seen 16 total targets on the season, so I'm not worried about his catch or drop percentage at this point.
  22. By all accounts, Shakir is a bright, hardworking, high character guy, so I think you can throw out the two questions you've posited above. I think it's just an issue of him being a rook and this staff being notoriously slow in bringing along rookies and giving them opportunities. Many here thought Cook was "lacking passion" or in the "doghouse" for some reason, but that clearly seems to be false. The staff just really has to trust a guy before trotting him out there in anything other than an emergency situation (which is why Shakir saw extended opportunities in the games you mention.)
  23. I'm sure it's been said 100+ times already, but, holy hell, Amazon got stuck with some truly atrocious games. It's like a greatest hits of awful football. Sound seems fine to me. No technical issues on my end either. There's only so much excitement you can conjure up for these horrible games.
  24. All true and I wasn't overly impressed with what he had done up to the point of his injury either. My hope was that he was still getting integrated into the offense and building chemistry with Josh and we would have seen that connection improve over the course of the season. Unfortunately, we never got the chance to see if that could have been the case. Regardless, we could use a reliable slot/zone soft spot finder in the playoffs, so I hope he's able to return. I expected Shakir to have grown into that role by now and he's looked good when the ball is thrown his way, but it just hasn't happened for whatever reason.
  25. I've won the Chili Con Carnival for 8 years and counting
