  1. Interesting to look back on the drought years to see how many low character and/or headcase players we brought in. While I understand that talent is talent and it usually wins out regardless of character, for every guy like Fred Jackson, Fitz, Takeo and Kyle Williams, we had a Dareus, Karlos Williams, Sammy Watkins, Travis Henry, etc. Maybe I'm just looking at the current roster through rose colored glasses, but it seems like character is very highly emphasized by McBeane.
  2. Yes, but the Bills are hot as well (10-1 over their last 11 meaningful games w/lone loss being by 2 points at a playoff team while scoring 42 points). 2 score win over an undefeated Chiefs team and a convincing road win at Detroit. We are also at the healthiest we've been all season, and have two former all-pros on defense who seem to be finding their old form (Von and Matt) at the exact right time. There's a lot to feel good about this Bills team right now. As for the Ravens, they are a very good team, but the schedule lightened up considerably over the last third of their schedule. Outside of Philly, they haven't really been tested too much to end the season. (I will say their dismantling of Houston was frightening). As for Sunday, two great, playoff experienced teams with good coaches and HOF quarterbacks. I expect a great game!!!
  3. I agree. I think we win this and then unfortunately lose yet again in KC due to coming in tired and beat up.
  4. I bet against them every week and had a good 17 year run going there. Thanks for nothing McD.
  5. Um...is this post from 2019? Lol. Lamar has been in the league for 7 years. Allen is a dual threat QB. Is he an elite passer? If this was meant as sarcasm, I apologize for the thickness of my skull. 😁
  6. Are you a Rock Church member? My kid plays guitar at the School of Rock (unaffiliated) across the street and I've always wondered what one of those mega churches was like...lol (I'm a lapsed Catholic).
  7. I agree. A HUGE improvement over the incompetent Dorsey, but I'm not seeing a ton of imaginative stuff out of Brady. I think this year's offensive success rests almost entirely on the quantum leap in maturity that Josh has made at QB over the last year.
  8. He looked like a backup quality QB to me. Even on completed throws he was frequently off the mark. Guy cost himself a lot of money over the last couple of games.
  9. Yep. Not much you can do there. Good route and great throw by the punter. They just executed to perfection there.
  10. Josh Allen now has 29 TDs against 6 turnovers in 11 playoff games. 100+ passer rating. Lamar has 11 TDs, 9 TOs and 81.2% passer rating in 7 playoff games. If we can find a way to slow Henry, I like our chances of advancing in High Mark.

  12. Good post. Both guys are very deserving. Lamar with the better stats and the head to head win. No doubt that he is an elite passer now. But I also think he has the better supporting cast. Josh did a ton this year without much elite talent (outside of Cook). Just a very tough vote this year. Here's to an entertaining, hard fought game next weekend.
  13. Total team victory. Both lines got it done, especially the o-line. All short kicks, but I'd like to give a nod to Bass too. Made all his kicks today.
  14. I'm nervous about the Broncos. Once it's one and done, every team gives me the heebee-jeebies.
  15. I meant it more tongue in cheek and as a demonstration of the type of circular reasoning you occasionally see people engage in. Exactly. Josh avoids multiple sacks every week on pressures that would fell every QB not named Allen, Mahomes or Jackson. Nice o-line, but it ain't Joe Gibbs' Hogs.
  16. And then they'll say, "Spencer Brown only looks great because he plays among the best line in football and protects the most elusive QB in the league. Same goes for Dion Dawkins." I'm not typically a crybaby or conspiracy theorist, but it sometimes feels like there is a some sort of bias against the current iteration of the Buffalo Bills.
  17. I think Allen is the better player and more valuable to his team, but it is very hard to ignore Lamar's numbers this season. I really can't blame the voters for going in Lamar's direction this season. I honestly believe that Allen is an all-time great. Top 5-10 at his position. It's wild to think he may never win an MVP or first team all-pro.
  18. I lived in Westwood during undergrad. Blows my mind that they've had to evacuate Santa Monica.
  19. I agree with this. Moulds looked like a bust until breaking out in his third year.
  20. Yes, but Josh made Gabe Davis a "#2 WR", but we saw what he really was in Jax before his injury. And Keon has worse efficiency numbers than Davis did with Josh. Coleman is light years away from reaching #1 WR status. Just watch that Steve Smith breakdown up-thread.
  21. He needs to make a huge leap between year 1 and 2. Right now his ceiling looks like a number 3 type of receiver. As it stands now, the Bills absolutely need to continue to address the top end of the WR room this offseason.
  22. Life comes at you quick as an NFL coach
  23. Would love to see a halfback option with Josh catching a 70 yard TD to cement his MVP.
  24. I agree. This week is essentially a bye. And then Dolphins in January in Buffalo? Arguably another week off.
  25. I like Harlan and I liked the reference. I'm 45 and knew of Nehemiah.
