That's what Mixon gets for inviting Ja Morant over to play hoops with his kids.

Diggs unfollows Buffalo, follows Cowgirls 🤷♂️
TheBrownBear replied to DaggersEOD's topic in The Stadium Wall
Diggs is the type that would do this just to troll us dweebs at TBD. Then again, he didn't show much emotional maturity at the end of the playoff game. And at the risk of besmirching the man, I have to admit that he's always come across a bit "childlike", for better or worse. -
I am SOOOOO OUTRAGED right now!!! Why isn't he on a yacht with hookers and blow and enjoying his offseason like a normal professional athlete???!!!! Argh!!!!

I said met, as my baseline for a "good" season with a franchise QB (assuming it isn't upended by unforeseen catastrophic injuries to your franchise QB) is winning your division. After that it can often come down to matchups and a little bit of luck in order to make a run to a championship. This past year was the only year that ended in true disappointment for me, and that's only because we were completely non-competitive against the Bengals, and I didn't see that coming. But on the whole, McDermott has instituted a winning program here in Buffalo and I have no desire to see him and his winning ways depart any time soon.

It's GM speak. You show your hand and you end up trading up for Kair Elam instead of Trent McDuffie.

Potential Number 1 pick Jalen Carter Arrest Warrant
TheBrownBear replied to CountDorkula's topic in The Stadium Wall
I'm kind of shocked by the "we all raced" comments in this thread. My friends and I have never "raced" in our entire lives as far as I've known, and we weren't dweebs locked in our parents basements or anything. We were jocks and frat guys - the typical, "young, dumb, testosterone fueled" demographic. I know there were "car scenes" and street racers, but I thought that was a fairly small sliver of dudes. Maybe street racing got a big bump from those stupid Fast & Furious movies? It was a $100,000 Jeep Tomahawk racing SUV. -
Potential Number 1 pick Jalen Carter Arrest Warrant
TheBrownBear replied to CountDorkula's topic in The Stadium Wall
We'll likely never know unless they have witnesses who can attest to his drinking that night, but he was almost certainly impaired as well. No one drives like that on residential streets at 2:30AM if they're sober. That blows right past adrenaline fueled risky behavior to death wish territory. -
A picture of Von Miller and D Henry
TheBrownBear replied to Warriorspikes51's topic in The Stadium Wall
I like Henry, but this is crazy talk. He's almost 30 and probably has maybe one decent season left in the tank (if that). I'd move a late 3rd or 4th round pick for him, but that's it. Henry is still productive and I wouldn't mind him as a one year rental for a mid-to-late round draft pick, but you're generally correct. There is a high likelihood that the guy would turn out to be 3.5 yards and a cloud of dust next season, especially behind our line. -
Lamar Jackson wants guarantees that exceed Watson contract
TheBrownBear replied to SCBills's topic in The Stadium Wall
I doubt he actually thinks he'll get what he's asking for. At this point, he's probably hoping that the Ravens call his bluff as to force a trade and then he'll work out a deal with the new team. I think the bridge has been burned in Baltimore and he has no intention of ever signing an extension there. -
Greatest Individual Season in Buffalo History
TheBrownBear replied to Mango's topic in The Stadium Wall
Hawerchuk centered the 2nd line. Andreychuk was the left winger paired with Patty and Alex. But yes, that was a great line and an electric season of offensive hockey (topped off by the "May Day!!! May Day!!!" victory over the Bruins). -

Travis Henry fathered 11 children during the 2002 season. Still an NFL record. -

Bills sign S Zayne Anderson to a 2 year deal

He was previously with the Chiefs and went to BYU, but don't worry guys, one of his wives apparently works for the Carolina Panthers. -
Jalen Hurts This Jalen Hurts That - 3 Rush TDs
TheBrownBear replied to Jerome007's topic in The Stadium Wall
People are just really insecure about Josh and our team for some reason. Hurts is turning into a great QB before our eyes and we better get used to it. He's overcome some adversity at the college and pro ranks and he's continued to put his head down, work his ass off and improve year over year. Done it with class too. I like the guy a lot. -
I've been anti-Dorsey, but Smith's rant does remind me of something that I had sort of ceased considering - which is that Dorsey absolutely hates to lose and will work his ass off to fix any deficiencies in his playbook this offseason. Dorsey isn't the type to just coast on his "success" with the no. 2 offense in the NFL. He's going to continue to improve. Let's just hope it's fast enough to get us to a SB.

He has multiple offenses on his record (some mildly violent), including one documented one against a woman, a DUI, lots of other vehicular citations, followed by failures to adhere to the stipulations in his plea agreements, reportedly isn't well liked by his players, and to top it off he's rumored to be a poor interviewee? Add it all up and owners/GMs don't see him as someone you want leading a franchise. Some people just aren't cut out to be leaders at the highest levels. As for Hackett, yes, he ended up being a terrible nepotistic hire, but he did run a successful offense in Green Bay, Rodgers won 2 MVPs while he was calling plays, he had a clean record, and he was considered a young, "high energy" type who was well liked by players. Not too far off from a track record of a guy like Daboll, so it's not too surprising to anyone (outside of Bills fans) that he got the Denver job. Having said all that, could race be playing a factor in why owners haven't been willing to look beyond Bienemy's past criminality? Possibly, yes. Unconscious bias does exist. No denying that. A good question to ask is whether owners have hired white head coaches in the last ten years with similarly checkered pasts?

He's a young guy who has been thrust into the spotlight because he literally died on the field on national television. In the blink of an eye, you go from a relatively-to-completely unknown (outside of Buffalo) 6th round draft pick backup/role player, to waking up with the entire world knowing your name and image, millions upon millions of dollars in your tiny charitable foundation, and every media outlet in the country wanting a piece of you. Add to that the psychological trauma of knowing you were basically dead and that your survival was a minor medical miracle, and the actual physical effects and trying to heal from that, and it adds up to a whole lot for a young man to deal with. That's a whirlwind for anyone and I'm sure he's a little lost at the moment trying to balance his emotional needs with all of the requests for his time being thrown at him.

Maybe we could find like an 8', 650 lb guy to just fall forward?

Rihanna-A boring halftime performance
TheBrownBear replied to Billsfan1972's topic in The Stadium Wall
The show was fine. A little bland, but it's a tough job trying to appeal to 80k football (not pop music) fans in person and another however many million at home. Only the biggest of biggest entertainers have the chops and charisma to pull it off. Outside of Prince, U2 and nip slip, I can barely remember a halftime show in the past 20ish years. -
Horrible way to end a good game

Lol. You do realize that Oncore is a business, not a charity, right, and the Vero balls retail for $45. They are donating $5 of their potential profit to the children's hospital when you make a purchase. Assuming a person actually likes and plays the balls, it's a win-win. About half of us on this site are so badly misinformed on most topics. The other half is somewhere between willfully ignorant to downright deranged. Full disclosure - my wife has worked in development (director level) for a handful of national non-profit organizations (both arts and medical/patient care) over the course of her career. Once an organization grows to a certain size and runs a substantial amount of programs, a certain amount of overhead costs are inevitable in order to keep things running smoothly. I can assure you that the vast majority of these organizations are committed to their core values and servicing their target community, not lining non-profit professionals' pockets with cash. Of course, as with any large organization there are inefficiencies and places where costs can be cut. No denying that.
