  1. Big issue with Kirksey will be his durability. He's suffered a bunch of soft tissue type of injuries over the past few years that have taken him out of the lineup. Last year was an outlier for him with regards to health.
  2. Perfect! Beane shored up our OT depth and found us a starting MLB in the last 20 or so hours. Good job, Brandon.
  3. Good to see we're already in full Doomer season.
  4. Hey, it was just research for our Sociology Ph.D. theses.
  5. Clearly why we flicked Boogie this morning.
  6. I love how Whitlock tries to play the race game here and preemptively throws Diggs under the bus. The guy is scum. And as if Diggs doesn't care about winning? Guy basically went nuts after losing in the playoffs. He's insanely competitive.
  7. True. In that case we'll see even the best TBD posters of our generation driven to madness, starving hysterical naked.
  8. Somebody better pick him up. He's my starting fantasy quarterback.
  9. They don't have windows where I live. Only padded walls.
  10. You're right, dude. My bad. I think I was mostly responding to the thread's narrative than your original post/question.
  11. I really thought Jeff Tuel had what it took to be our next Jim Kelly there for about one half against the Chiefs.
  12. Honestly, I never liked the signing from the get go. I admittedly didn't catch his early career peak with the Panthers, but I did happen to watch him last year with Houston and he looked clueless back there. You could put pretty much any QB who has seen NFL action in there to produce at or above current Kyle Allen level. I'm not sweating it too much, we do have bigger issues like MLB, but we will all be sweating it if Josh suffers the type of injury that keeps you out for a few weeks.
  13. Why would you trade your second best corner when he is under contract for a few years on a 6th round salary? No offense, but that's a terrible idea.
  14. At the end of the day, you need a guy who can protect the football and run the offense. If Kyle Allen isn't showing a basic ability to understand the concepts and get beyond a single read this many weeks in, that is very concerning. As far as his past stats or good play, that was some years ago now. He was terrible in the two games he started for Houston last season. The only thing he has going for him is youth.
  15. You don't win three straight division titles without buy in. You don't get players buying in without leadership.
  16. Lol. I wouldn't go so far as to call him a future sex offender, but I otherwise agree with what you wrote. I was intrigued to watch it based on the Bills angle and the fact that the show is produced by Nathan Fielder and I loved Nathan For You (The Rehearsal? Not quite as much). This Wilson dude just comes off as very lame, but maybe that's the point and I'm just missing it? Either way, I didn't find this episode very funny, entertaining or insightful.
  17. What's interesting is that the study you're referencing has been misreported/misremembered for years, most notably by CNN in a piece about implicit bias. Here's an informative article on the history of the claimed study and how it's been misreported over time. https://www.zebrafactcheck.com/cnn-misreports-classic-study-race/. It illustrates another valuable and related point - that we should review the data/objective evidence (i.e., the source material, which, in our case is game film), before parroting popular narratives (Spencer Brown sucks).
  18. Whoa! I love the Bills. I'm a passionate fan and I take some pride in it. But at the end of the day, it is just a game, just entertainment, a way to pass time with friends and family. I really don't mean to talk down to you, but you might be in need of some perspective taking. Also, where is this "perpetual ineptitude" that you speak of? The team has been damn good for the past half decade and have one of the most insanely watchable quarterbacks in the history of the game.
  19. I grew up in Buffalo and the Bills are just embedded in the lifestyle there. If you're raised in Buffalo and come from a sporting family at all, you're going to be a hardcore Bills fan. I've lived in California for the better part of 20 years, but I can honestly say that as long as the Bills stay in Buffalo, I'll remain a fan until my heart stops beating. The Bills are in my DNA at this point.
  20. I agree this sounds like a decent approach in theory, but where were there cuts that could be made to accomplish this? The only think I can think of is maybe passing on re-signing Poyer? Unless you wanted to consider cutting a guy like Von already and taking a huge cap hit? I don't follow the dollars and cents side of the team, so I have no clue how that kind of approach would play out. Anyone up for presenting what a minor rebuild this past season might have looked like?
