KC looked like that a lot of the time last year and they won the Super Bowl. Sort of disinterestedly play to the level of their opponents before pulling away late
-
Toney reportedly had a bad attitude and poor work ethic with the Giants. Shakir is nothing like him
-
I also expect the Jets to win comfortably on Monday.

YESSSSSSS!

Here we go. Gonna get a bail out flag?

Damn, you can see why the Giants dumped that bum.

Is this Bills team better than the 2020/2021/2022 versions?

But what if they're our starting #1/#2 receivers for 16 games? -
I don't see it. I don't trust Goff to string together back-to-back pro bowl type seasons. I hope I'm wrong, but I expect KC to win this one rather comfortably

I feel you, but those guys have all played major roles in the past when we were winning 11 and 13 regular season games. I think we're talented enough, but as is the case with the rest of the contenders not named the Chiefs (presuming Mahomes stays upright), much of how we finish will come down to staying healthy, playoff coaching and a dose of luck. -

QB: Worse, because Josh is Hollywood and has a distracting GF. Also, he has golfer's elbow. RB: Worse because Latavius Murray is old and our starting running back never smiles which is bad for team chemistry. His brother was available and he has a great smile and isn't afraid to show it. WR: Worse because Stef hates Josh and McDermott and wants to be in Dallas. Also, we drafted a guy who sounds like a rodeo performer not a pass catcher. OL: Worse because Shell retired. DL: Worse because we traded Boogie LB: Worse because Edmunds walked CB: Worse because we are starting a 6th rounder and a guy without an ACL S: Worse because these guys are old and would rather be in Miami. STer: Worse because Hines got run over by a boat. Did I get this right? -
I agree that Thompson sucks. We held him to 18-45, 220 yards and 2 picks. We outgained the Dolphins by 200 yards. The only reason the Dolphins were in that game were unforced errors and special teams gaffes on the part of the Bills. We also beat a full strength Dolphins team with Tua in the regular season. And I agree that the Dolphins being a "top team" is arguable. But we did beat both Baltimore and KC on the road when they were at full strength. I was merely answering your question by stating facts.
-
Well, KC did win the Super Bowl and they have arguably GOAT talents at QB and TE, and we were the only team to beat them in their pad. We beat Baltimore in their pad too while Lamar was still healthy. We had two wins over the Dolphins (a playoff team) as well.

All joking aside, you really hate to see this. In both the Chiefs and Travis kelce's long-term interest, you'd like to think they'd do the right thing and rest him for at least the next 6 to 8 weeks.

This should be in the message board textbook as an example of a high quality thread. Thanks, Mikie2times.

OT…Now the Jets are the 85 Bears
TheBrownBear replied to 78thealltimegreat's topic in The Stadium Wall
The psychology of most sports fans is generally fairly fragile. The Jets have a very good defense. I'd say it's top-3. They finished tied with the Eagles in 2022 in yards per play. It's going to be a stiff test. We need to protect the ball and take advantage of red zone opportunities. We aren't going to be marching up and down the field all night. -
Why Are We Not Winning Superbowls?
TheBrownBear replied to Milanos Milano's topic in The Stadium Wall
I agree. I'm all for critique of Josh, but this is just pure conjecture based off what is almost certainly a lie pulled from Jason Whitlock's ass. It's equivalent to gossip. -

Finally, do you guys even remember what Josh looked like in college and during his first half season with the bills? That player absolutely flames out of the NFL within 3 years if not for superior work ethic and study of the game and position. -

Also, I hope it has been pointed out already, but if it hasn't, Josh absolutely dominated Kansas City in the last three games against them. Yes, he played poorly against the bengals, but so did the entire team. -

This conversation about Josh's work ethic must be the dumbest f****** IeatCrayonz-worthy s*** I've ever read on this forum. Proof of Josh's work ethic = 40 regular and postseason wins over the past three seasons, top 3 QBR over last three seasons, 148 combined passing/running TDs over last three seasons (including playoffs). Arguments against = playoff losses to Chiefs and Bengals and Jason Whitlock's imagination. -
Bills sign QB to PS-Shane Buechele
TheBrownBear replied to BuffaloBillyG's topic in The Stadium Wall
It's about 50/50 at this point, but the chorus will get louder as it appears the team has now quit on him over the past two weeks. I'm not a fan of his in game decision making (or lack thereof) and the level of underachieving speaks for itself. But part of me also thinks for all the top end talent, the roster still wasn't constructed very well. Not enough speed and not enough bat to ball contact. But I'm old school like that. -
The Bills will have the highest scoring NFL offense in '23

Whew! That's a relief! We should be pretty good this season. -

Their "clutch" numbers are trash. Hitting sub-.200 with RISP and 6-22 in one run games. They've had some tough luck, but they've also been truly horrible situationally. I've completely soured on Bob Melvin. Worst part about it is that they've got so many of these guys locked in for the next 7-10 years. -

Well, my Padres have Machado, Soto, Tatis, Bogaerts, Blake Snell, Darvish, Musgrove, Hader, etc. and are sitting at 62-72. 0-11 in extra inning games. Think they were predicted to win 92-95 games. It's been brutal. -

Weird. I'm a big baseball fan, and especially so during that time frame, but I can't remember this guy at all.
