  1. Let Peterman finish out the season and draft a qb. We aren't bringing Tyrod back so why bother playing him.
  2. Yep. I called us the '83 Bills a couple of weeks ago. Looks like we jumped straight to '84.
  3. Rosen is the best pure passer in college football by a mile, but I still question his leadership and decision-making skills. Incredibly immobile too.
  4. I suspect he won't be terrible, maybe mediocre. I really won't make any judgment until I see him play a few games. Even if he sucks and we get killed, I won't really care since that is what happened in the previous two weeks under Tyrod. Then we'll know we need to draft a new QB and that we're looking at a complete rebuild. Which is what I expected when the new GM and coach were hired anyway.
  5. Tyrod, say what you will about his qb skills, is a legit playmaker with his legs. I would love to see us find a way to use him in a non qb role.
  6. Actually, Los Angeles would be a good place to start NP. Will be a small crowd, maybe even majority Bills fans, mediocre opponent. I'd rather he get his first action there than at home against Pats.
  7. They won't win another game if they continue the trend of the last two weeks.
  8. We certainly were today. We were healthy, added a top flight WR, and still found ourselves down 47-3 in our own house. This was '84-'85 level ineptitude on display today.
  9. Geez... This offense is frickin pathetic. Scratch that, this entire team is pathetic from top to bottom.
  10. He was a complete rockstar from day one.
  11. The goalposts coming down in '88 against the Jets. You just knew it was the start of something special. Second favorite was the '02 Miami snow game. It was my wife's (gf at the time) first Bills game. She was a born and raised San Diegan and had never even spent time in the snow. It was the quintessential Buffalo Bills experience (tailgate, booze, snow, comeback against divisional rival, Kelly whooping it up on the sideline, etc.) and she absolutely loved it!
  12. It's much more like the 1983 Bills. 1st year head coach (Stephenson) with an aging roster, veteran qb (Fergy) and dynamic rb (Cribs). Start 5-2, then blown out by divisional opponent. Next week they came home and beat the Saints to move to 6-3. Then went on to lose 5 of 7 and finish up at 8-8.
  13. We have gone on two game winning streaks after each of our losses. Lets hope that trend continues.
  14. I've been waiting for a post like OP's. He's clearly hot blooded and wants to know what the playoffs are, and wants the Bills to show him. In my opinion, fixing our oline and dline issues, is an urgent, urgent emergency.
  15. 1) Tackling 2) Turnovers (bad luck?) 3) Offensive line 4) Defensive line 5) Offensive playcalling We mostly just sucked all around yesterday. Pretty much a collective team loss. But the poor tackling and the offensive line getting absolutely mauled stood out. I don't think our defensive line would have looked quite as bad (statistically) if our linebackers and DBs had tackled like they had been up until last night.
  16. I agree. JFC, what's with all these chicken littles? Can you imagine these folks in real life? Must be some real winners. Bills are still in good shape at 5-3, which is far better than I had them pegged before the season began. Looking forward to next Sunday to see what kind of backbone we have.
  17. The tackling was probably half the problem tonight. It was just miserable. The Jets played with energy and we looked lethargic. Simple as that.
  18. It's one game guys. I'll give them this mulligan. We've got Benjamin suiting up next week in front of the home crowd. Season is far from over.
  19. Wow. That sucks for Watson and the Texans (and my fantasy team ).
  20. I think we win the first three and lose the last two. We are better than the Jets. New Orleans doesn't typically play well outside of the dome. And the Chargers game will basically be a home crowd for the Bills. But it's next to impossible to beat the Chiefs in KC, and we know our history against Brady and the Pats.
  21. Funchess struggled his first couple of years, but he took a big step forward this year, and yes, very similar to Benjamin. Benjamin can be a very good receiver if he's motivated. Not a burner but big and comes down with the contested ball. Sort of like Keyshawn Johnson.
  22. Yep. I was there that day as a kid. Rich Stadium was electric!
  23. Love the Benjamin move. Just brilliant imo. My only nitpick is that I wish we could have brought in another solid RB to spell McCoy.
  24. An ice cold fridge stocked with Stone and Ballast Point.
  25. BOOM!!!! I love this trade!!! He's exactly the type of playmaker we need on the outside. Beane is looking really good right about now.
