  1. Ok, I'm already getting ready to duck, but it seems like everyone in the world (outside of Buffalo) is underselling Nathan Peterman. I know he was horrendous in his spotlight moment against the Chargers, but he looks far improved this preseason. He was carving up the Panthers first team defense to the tune of 11 yards per play until his fluke interception. He was mostly solid against the Browns, and he threw some beautiful balls against the Bengals. I would not be surprised if he turns out to be a clear upgrade over Tyrod Taylor. Let's put it this way, if Peterman were a first round pick and had this type of preseason in his sophomore year, I think the perception of the QB position, and the Bills in general, would be far more favorable on the national level. Yes, he's going to throw some interceptions (and probably some more pick-6s), but I think he'll get this offense moving, especially with the threat of McCoy in the backfield.
  2. Murphy, Ivory, Edmunds, Croom and Peterman all showed well. Our O-Line, Vontae Davis and Colton Schmidt all stuck out like sore thumbs for their miserable performances. Mediocrity from most everyone else.
  3. Peterman looks as good as his stat line. Taking what the defense gives him but also making some really nice throws and giving his receivers a chance to make a play. He's the most ready to lead this team... right now.
  4. Peterman looking good again. Sliding in pocket to find space. Good anticipatory throws. He seems really improved over last season.
  5. This is 1984-85 level of talent we are trotting out there this year. Going to be a loooooonnnnngggg season.
  6. Yes and No. I have young kids now, so I watch far less of it than I did when I was younger. Having said that, I still follow it pretty closely due to fantasy football. And my interest has increased since McBeane came to town.
  7. Can't really disagree with his take. Our roster is pretty pitiful, but it's not really any worse than last season. We really only have three things going for us: Culture, coaching and LeSean McCoy. Last year's playoff appearance was manna from heaven for the fanbase, but I've always viewed this as a 2-3 year rebuild.
  8. With my Mom and Dad at their snowbird home in Palm Springs. Great weather, new house, big TV, home cooked food, and lots of family. Can't be beat!
  9. I hope so, because Im in Vegas and just $100 on Bills at 100-1.
  10. I don't think our talent is any worse than it was last year, and in some positions we should be improved (wr, dline, maybe even qb?). With McDermott running things, I can't see us being one of the worst three or four teams in the league. Given our schedule, I see 6-8 wins. And I am fine with that at the moment.
  11. I never minded a little trash talk and cockiness, but this guy takes it to a whole new level. I think I might actually hate him now. Lol.
  12. I agree. A definite NFL quarterback. Looks like he has a solid Kelly Holcomb or Fitz type of career ahead of him.
  13. I would definitely move AJ if possible. Nate is younger, cerebral more upside, and his floor appears to be a very solid #2. Move AJ for whatever you can get and roll Nate out there until Josh is ready to take over.
  14. He will break down quick. There's no beating father time.
  15. Even if he sucks and we cut him by the end of camp, we gave up basically nothing for him. I have no problem with spending a 7th round pick on a lottery ticket.
  16. Thanks for this reminder of the good in the world. :)
  17. Great write up! Really appreciate the effort you put into that.
  18. Same here. I remember it being such an incredibly frustrating game to watch. Seemed like we couldn't get out of our own way. TB was an abysmal team and you just felt like we were going to take over at any second, but it just never happened.
  19. I was at that game. 11 years old. That's about as loud as I ever remember the stadium getting.
  20. Thank God we have Nathan Peterman!
  21. Wow! He may have run for 100,000 yards if not for his torn ACL.
  22. Unfortunately, Oliver is done. He looked very promising his rookie year in San Diego, but he tore his achilles in the 2016 preseason and he hasn't been close to the same since.
  23. Travis Henry is available, under the age of 40, and is fresh after having taken 10 years off from football. Would love to see what that old bowling ball with knives could do.
  24. I'm sorry, but what normal victim's first response to being brutally beaten would be to bypass going to the cops, and instead hiring an attorney to put out a press release? Also, the speed of which she retained an attorney and pumped out said release begs the question whether she had this planned in advance of the "attack". Sure, it's entirely possible that this woman drove him insane to the point where he hired a "hit" on her, but her actions leading up to and following her injuries are incredibly fishy.
  25. I've liked Peterman's potential from the moment he hit the field in preseason (granted, I skipped the Chargers game to play a golf tournament at Torrey Pines...lol). I sense he's head and shoulders above the other guys at this point in his ability to run an offense and read a defense. The question, especially after his performance against the Bolts, is whether he can maintain his poise when the regular season bullets start flying. But count me in the camp who expects him to be the game one starter. How long he keeps the job is up to him, and how quickly Josh Allen can develop. AJ's skillset screams longterm clipboard guy to me. Not mobile. Not the strongest arm. Not the quickest release. Can go in and not single-handedly lose a game, but won't win you one either.
