  1. Same thing happened to my brother-in-law. Got black out drunk and tried to find his way back to his friend's pad. Ended up at the elderly neighbors and woke up in the morning on her couch. Lol.
  2. Call me a glutton for punishment, but since we are going to lose anyway, it's kind of fun to watch the worst quarterback in NFL history do his thing. It's not like watching your regular boring bad quarterback do his thing. The mere fact that every single snap brings the distinct possibility of a pick six adds some excitement.
  3. Houston Astros fans in 2013.
  4. Hernandez committed a horrible act. There is no denying that. Objectively, he was a bad dude. But I don't understand why people are so adverse to acknowledging that he was basically mentally ill or suffering from an extreme personality disorder for a variety of reasons (abuse, CTE, drug use?). He was also at the prime age for the onset of mental illness. And it's not about making him the victim or excusing the behavior, it's more about acknowledging that there are lots of people out there that have had negative experiences that potentially prime them for antisocial behavior in adulthood. We need to find these people and get them the treatment they need before they harm themselves or others.
  5. I don't believe it's some sort of grand religious conspiracy. If that were the case, then why draft Allen - who courted controversy by tweeting offensive rap lyrics? I haven't heard anything about Allen being overly Christian or anything. Also, based on their preseason performances and the salary situations, I too would have kept Peterman and shipped off McCarron. I don't have a problem with it. Peterman appeared to have progressed in the offseason and looked ready to take the next step. Yes, he was atrocious against the Chargers and shaky against the Jags in tough spots, but he otherwise looked at least serviceable in his other two outings vs the Saints and Colts. My only complaint is that they didn't move quicker to fill the backup role once Peterman showed in week one that he was incapable of providing anything positive during a real game. Things looked dire after that first week and they should have immediately brought in a guy like Anderson as a steadying influence.
  6. lol...i'd kind of like to see Peterboy get another shot. guess i'm a sadomasochist.
  7. Allen. And I can't believe this question is even being asked. Do our fans have any clue who Derek Anderson is? https://www.pro-football-reference.com/boxscores/200910110buf.htm
  8. Getting back to the OP, I am finally coming to grips that what you are seeing on this board is one of the following: 1) A board littered with at least a double digit number of trolls (who are doing a fine job btw); 2) A board with a majority pre-teen membership; or 3) A board littered with mouth breathing imbeciles.
  9. Locker is a fair comparison right now. Question is whether Allen can develop quick enough to succeed in the league. He's got another year from me before I write him off.
  10. Please go back and watch the video of Tyrod's performances last year against the Saints, Jags and others. Our passing game has been in the stone ages since about week 8 of 2011.
  11. Deep breath, people. 5 games. 5 games.
  12. Peterman couldn't carry Mathison's jock based on those highlights.
  13. Peterman probably could have been a serviceable backup if the Chargers game hadn't happened. I think it ruined him forever.
  14. I was under the assumption that Jacksonville couldn't fill it's stadium, but I just looked at their attendance numbers for the past few years and they've been solid. I could understand how a move to London could increase the overall value of the franchise, but how does playing a few games a year there as he Jacksonville Jaguars really benefit Khan? If the NFL wants a team in London, then do a divisional realignment and send the Chargers there. They're hated in both Los Angeles and San Diego now and have zero fanbase outside of the fans coming to support their opponents. They're a quality team and they can't even fill a 20,000 seat soccer stadium. London Chargers join the East, Dolphins move to the AFC South and Houston/Indy can slot into the AFC West.
  15. Anyone who is not on board with the OP is a moron in my book. A project QB from a small school with 4 games under his belt with a possibly historically bad group of o-linemen and receivers. He's looked about as good as could be expected given the circumstances. I assume we'll upgrade the offense in the offseason so we should start to see some real progression on his part by midseason in 2019. If not, then I'll probably start to question. But as it stands now, I'm planning on keeping my mouth shut regarding any final conclusion on Allen for the next two years.
  16. No. I think we were destined to lose four straight super bowls and would have found a way to lose the 17-3 lead.
  17. My initial thought was "you're insane", but looking at the schedule it seems within the realm of possibility. I still think this is a 4-6 win team at best, but I thought the same last year. This week will be telling. Houston is definitely beatable. Need to stack two in a row here before I'll start to really consider it.
  18. I'd trade him for a third. Not really worth it for anything less than that.
  19. I'm more worried about Allen getting physically killed, than I am about his psyche. His mental makeup seems pretty solid.
  20. I have absolutely no problem with Beane and McDermott gutting this roster, so long as the dudes they shipped out were not contributing to a positive atmosphere. They were brought in to rebuild this team the way they see fit. And I really don't understand how people can complain given they ended the playoff drought in their one full season, and presumably have secured our franchise quarterback for the next decade. This year is painful, but it's what year one of a rebuilding project looks like. Look back to the '88-'89 Cowboys or the '85-86 Bills. Those teams sucked, but the cultures were being created and the pieces put into place for future dominance.
  21. Kelly Holcomb was a hall-of-famer in comparison to most of the bums listed (and many who weren't).
  22. Josh Allen was always the biggest project of the "big 4" QBs. Very high ceiling, but a lower floor based on his current development. We're going to have to be very patient with this kid. And yes, it will sting watching Mayfield, Rosen and Darnold put up more impressive numbers than our guy for the next year or so, but drafting Allen was always about the longterm outlook. This team sucks top-to-bottom anyway, so there's really no point in whining about not having an NFL ready guy in there. The hope is that Josh grows with the rest of the roster over the next 2 to 3 years. If he looks like he did yesterday in the middle of year 2, then I'll start to worry. But the guy basically has a pass from me this year, so long as he continues to compete and show that he's a good leader/teammate.
  23. I think he's saying that his draft analytics have him as even worse than a 3rd round grade, but he bumped him up to that spot because of his competitiveness. He basically thinks JA has Nathan Peterman potential. lol.
  24. I think 2-2 is definitely doable.
  25. Andrea Kramer seems pretty solid. Not sure about Hannah Storm though.
