Honestly, why not at least bring him in for a workout to see if he has anything left? He should be completely healed at this point and while he's on the older side, at 31, he could potentially have some productive seasons left. He was one of the top 4-5 QBs in the NFL for a stretch of 4-5 years in the mid-to-late 90s, but he really fizzled out during his second act. He was Matthew Stafford before Matthew Stafford. Not a bust, but not HOF quality. Just a good player with a laser arm and zero mobility.

In what universe is Gordon a "playmaking home run hitter"? He's averaging 2.5 ypc and he's only had one season where he averaged better than 3.9 ypc. He's got to be one of the most overrated players in the NFL

We are doing more with less than just about any other team in the league. We are probably two years away from being a legit contender (maybe 1 year if Josh shows a ton of growth in the next 12 months), and I'm fine with that. Overall, I like our trajectory and I trust our coach and GM for the first time in forever. Also, the 1988-1992 Bills all had a game or two (or three) where they absolutely got their teeth kicked in. Outside of historically dominant teams, it's pretty normal for good teams to experience a day or two like yesterday.

Actually, now that I read into the details, it looks like he was just the victim of a numbers game. It was basically him or Wynn and the Pats needed the OL help more than the receiver help with Harry coming off IR. Gordon isn't under contract next season and he's been chronically nicked up this year. I'd definitely kick the tires if I were the Bills.

No way Tennessee gets rid of him. He's young, super talented, trending upward and they are in contention.

Very strange. Pats must view Sanu and/or Harry as better options than Gordon at this point. If not that, then there's hints of personal problems again. Either way, that doesn't make me very eager to see him in a Bills uniform.

He had founded a successful start-up in Boulder, but apparently lost his marbles over the past couple of years. When he was arrested he claimed the Russian mafia was hunting him down. Sounds like another CTE casualty. Sort of surprised so few here remember him. He was a decent rotational lineman for a few years with the Bills and had a long career in the NFL.

When you read that story and learn of the environment he grew up in, it really makes you appreciate all that he's overcome to get to this point. It takes a very strong person not to allow themselves to become a product of their environment in that situation.

Lynn is coming off a 12-4 season, so you'd think he'd be safe barring a total collapse. Chargers are a cash strapped franchise and probably like having Lynn on the cheap. Having said that, they move into the Rams new stadium next year and may want to make a splash with a new hire at HC. Maybe Rex Ryan? Lol.

I like what I'm seeing and I think we are on a good long-term trajectory, but I just don't see 13 wins and a deep playoff run yet. We could easily be 1-4 at this point (yeah, I know winners find a way, but we were very fortunate against the Jets and Titans).

No. Gordon is a very mediocre back. Not sure why anyone thinks he's elite. Gore and Singletary are both better players.
