Scott Ferrall on Saturday's Game
TheBrownBear replied to mykidsdad's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I hate that Ferrall's voice is so grating, because he's actually a reasonable dude with solid takes. But I can't take more than 15-20 minutes of his show at a time before I have to change the channel. -
There is no denying that Jackson has had a great season. Having said that, he still doesn't scare me with his arm. I absolutely would take Mahomes, Wilson, Brees and probably a couple others before Jackson in a one game scenario. He still screams gimmick to me. If he keeps this up for another season, I will absolutely eat crow on this, but I suspect the NFL will catch up to him in the near future.

We somehow got swept by a bad Jets team and I recall the Thanksgiving day loss to the Lions being a real killer with Kelly throwing a pick six to ice it. We also turned the ball over a bunch that season. Actually, just checked the stats and it looks like the big difference was turnovers forced. We forced 47 in 1993 and only 28 in 1994. The offense was petty much the same from 93 to 94, at least statistically.

We bit on a lot misdirection from the Pats. McDaniels called a great game imo. We were off balance all day long. Offense really couldnt find a rhythm since they were sitting on the sidelines for 2/3 of the game. Josh needs to be better but we know that. He's still a work in progress. Let's rest up next weekend and make a nice showing in Houston.

Allen slammed on ESPN
TheBrownBear replied to Giuseppe Tognarelli's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Bills are getting a lot of love tonight on national radio shows. But pundits are still hung up on Allen's completion percentage. -
On November 4, 2018, we were 2-7 which included losses by margins of 19, 22, 32, 32 and 44 points. On this board there were regular discussions as to whether it was the least talented roster in Bills' history. It seemed like we were eons away from being competitive. Now, 13 short months later we are 10-4 and starting to look like a real contender to make some noise in the postseason. It's a testament to the hard work put in by every member of the organization, and especially McDermott's leadership in keeping these guys focused on the process and long-term goal when things could have easily and understandably gone off the rails.

Josh Gordon suspended indefinitely, yet again
TheBrownBear replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
We don't know that this is weed, do we? He came out and admitted a couple of years ago to using all sorts of drugs, including cocaine. Just pointing this out since people keep assuming he can't stay away from pot. Could easily be a "harder" drug of abuse or even alcohol. What's certain is that this guy is a complete mess. -

This feels like the end of the line for him with regard to the NFL. Really hope for his sake that he can win this battle at some point. -

Congrats to John Brown 1k receiving for the year

I honestly thought he was just a ho hum #3 type when we signed him. He has way proven me wrong. Great signing. And kudos to Brown on a great season obviously. -
Lose to New England next week and get a bye week.
TheBrownBear replied to 0017's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Or how about we knock Brady straight into retirement, kick the ever living crap out of the Jets and watch Fitzy stick it to the Jarret Stidham led Cheats? -
Zero chance any of the Bills teams of the last 19 years win those nationally televised road games in Dallas and Pittsburgh. Say what you will about his conservative nature, but McDermott has done a hell of a job of bringing this team together on and off the field. These are tough dudes top to bottom. Nobody will want to draw the Bills in the postseason.
