Ordering a bunch of stuff from Din Tai Fung and doing a big pregame dim sum spread. Then probably just air frying a bunch of wings with Franks at halftime

Chiefs sign Damon Arnette [Edit: and now cut]
TheBrownBear replied to JGMcD2's topic in The Stadium Wall
Arnette's probably already using the Tyreek Hill Family Foundation cringingly on the nose non-profit template to complete his transformation into a KC good guy. DADGUM - Damon Against Dancing w/Guns Under (the influence of) Meth. -
Are we/media setting ourselves up for a defensive battle?

Both offenses just dropped 90 combined points on two pretty good NFL defenses. -
GMFB Divisional Round weekend Buffalo Love 🖤

And we still outgained the Jags by 80+ yards. That was a game that we win easily without the turnovers and penalties. Even if we just accepted that we sucked that day and took field goals in the second half, we almost certainly walk out with a win. Steelers game too. We outgained them by 120 yards. We lost because of penalties, sacks and a blocked punt touchdown. When we play a clean game, we are almost impossible to beat. -
Is Super Bowl victory or bust realistic?
TheBrownBear replied to CorkScrewHill's topic in The Stadium Wall
Actually, Neil Paine explains in his column that the numbers for this year (2021) actually make us the favorite against KC. It's just that ELO takes into account the Chiefs multi-year track record in developing the prediction model. https://fivethirtyeight.com/features/what-to-watch-for-in-the-nfls-divisional-round/ In certain years, based on our current team, I'd say yes. But I think we have a really good field of "strong" teams left in the playoffs this year. The only teams I can't really see winning the whole thing are SF and Cincinnati - and they are still good enough to spring an upset and get to the conference championship or Super Bowl. We will need to play our A game going forward if we want to reach the end goal. B or C game isn't going to cut it against the remaining competition. -
Another accolade for Josh Allen - Best under pressure

I think my favorite debate was Thad Lewis vs. EJ Manuel. -

No. I just don't see it. Way too much offensive talent on the field to see something low scoring like that. Weather is supposed to be perfect too. I don't think it will be a ridiculous track meet like that Rams game, but I expect something like 34-31. -
Sorry to hear that, man. We (me, my kids and my parents) just got it this past weekend. Was just a minor cold (post-nasal drip, sore throat and light cough) for maybe 48 hours. Back out riding my bike today and I felt good, but noticed that my heart rate was elevated compared to my effort level. Hope you're feeling better soon.

It's elite level Dad-jokery. You're just not there yet.

The Pats have some terrible free agent contracts
TheBrownBear replied to Inigo Montoya's topic in The Stadium Wall
Henry is a good player, but the rest are just meh for sure. I didn't understand the signing of Jonnu Smith. Guy is overrated and was completely unnecessary with the signing of Hunter Henry. -
KC has been the best defense in the NFL since signing Ingram and moving Clark back inside. The offense is clicking again at full speed. I view the Bills as an underdog. Doesn't mean we can't win, but it's going to take a hell of game and an effort like we saw on Saturday or we are heading to the golf course next Monday.
