The Buffalo Bills and the progress that they've made are up against their stiffest test since Josh Allen came back from an elbow sprain in November. On Sunday, they'll be up against the New England Patriots which will serve as a great gauge game against the class of the AFC East. Joe Buscaglia and Matthew Fairburn discuss the matchup, along with the significance in what is one of their most important games of the season. At the No. 10 pick, where the Bills are currently slated to select at the 2019 NFL Draft had it started today, Buffalo starts elsewhere. The Bills select wide receiver DK Metcalf from Ole Miss. In the second round at pick No. 42, the Bills then start their back-to-back run on offensive line by taking tackle Kaleb McGray from Washington. The 6-foot-6 lineman reads as a player who needs to work on his technique at the next level, but despite struggles there, his athleticism allows him to make up for mistakes. Finally in the third round at pick No. 74, the Bills nab interior lineman Tyler Biadasz from Wisconsin.

Patriots WR Josh Gordon Indefinitely Suspended Josh Gordon is stepping away from football to focus on his mental health. The New England Patriots receiver announced the decision on Thursday. "I take my mental health very seriously at this point to ensure I remain able to perform at the highest level," Gordon wrote in a statement. "I have recently felt like I could have a better grasp on things mentally. With that said, I will be stepping away from the football field for a bit to focus on my mental health. I would like to thank Coach Belichick, Mr. Kraft, as well as countless others with the Patriotsorganization for their continued support. I want to thank my fans for their support as well as I continue down the path to getting back to 100 percent." Gordon has a long history of mental health and substance abuse issues.

ORCHARD PARK – The same knock on Josh Allen that created so much polarization about him as a first-round draft prospect last spring has raged on throughout his rookie season with the Buffalo Bills. The kid has accuracy issues. But is this really true? Does Allen really have problems with his ball placement, or are other factors at play that skew his numbers? The rudimentary statistics are there for everyone to see. He had a sub-par 56.2 career completion percentage at Wyoming, and now in his first season with Buffalo, he ranks last in the NFL among quarterbacks with a minimum of 200 pass attempts with a 52.2 completion percentage. However, just as batting average or pitcher wins are no longer viable measurements of true performance in Major League Baseball, completion percentage is trending that way in football. “There’s a lot of different variables that go into that,” Allen said. “There’s a lot of different variables that go into winning a football game as well. I wouldn’t say that that’s a crucial stat. At the same time, I do want to complete at a high percentage and put the ball in our playmakers’ hands when the time calls for it.”
