  1. The Bills may be 2-4, but Rick Venturi says the Colts still need to be ready to battle a legit defense | WFNI ESPN 107.5 / 1070 The Fan | Indy's SportsCenter (24:44) Coach Rick Venturi joined Grady & Big Joe to give his thoughts on the Colts' woes in New York last Sunday, and to help preview this Sunday's game at home against the Bills, and why despite their season-long issues at Quarterback, they have a stud running back and a legit defense that can cause the Colts some fits. First Down With Rick Venturi - Defensive Blueprint: Bills (9:12) Former Colts Coach Rick Venturi talks with Host Matt Taylor about what the Colts will need to do on defense to beat the Buffalo Bills. First Down With Rick Venturi - Offensive Blueprint: Bills (8:19) Former Colts Coach Rick Venturi talks with Host Matt Taylor about what the Colts will need to do on offense to beat the Buffalo Bills, this Sunday, at Lucas Oil Stadium.
  2. I think it's more than that. It's also about knowing how to correctly run routes to maximize the effectiveness of the combinations that are schemed to create open receivers.
  3. Yes of course. Thanks for the information.
  4. His mom and dad thank you no doubt. You are a kind and generous soul.
  5. Nice of you to get a job for him.
  6. It's not too late. I heard he's coming to your 518 lunch since he's not busy playing football.
  7. That would be a tribute and gift to Frank Reich.
  8. I really don't care what he has to say. When someone starts threads about Cutler, Manziel about them being good QBs and argues vociferously about them their opinion is nil. The same guy once posted that Trevor Siemian could be the next Joe Montana. His opinion means 0.0 so he can call all of the names he likes because that's all he's got.
  9. What's ridiculous is your lack of understanding that all units on a team complement each other. You have advocated for bums like Cutler, Manziel, and Trevor Siemian as good QBs. Now sit down.
  10. 21-34 for 233 yards with 3 TDs and 2 INTs.

  12. How Texans can lift Deshaun Watson; Cowboys unlock potential Former NFL player and scout Bucky Brooks knows the ins and outs of this league, providing keen insight in his notebook. The topics of this edition include: -- How Eric Ebron is finally starting to live up to the billing. 3) Why Eric Ebron is breaking out in Year 5. In the NFL, one man's trash is another man's treasure. Coaches and scouts are always willing to give a former first-rounder a chance to revive his career, particularly when he was selected as a top-10 pick in a draft loaded with Pro Bowlers. That's why I'm not surprised the Indianapolis Colts gave Eric Ebron an opportunity to carve out a role as a TE1 on an offense that desperately needed to put more playmakers around Andrew Luck. Now, I certainly didn't expect the fifth-year pro to be tied for the league lead in receiving touchdowns (6) after six weeks. After all, Ebron totaled 11 touchdowns during his four seasons with the Detroit Lions. Still, Ebron was universally viewed as a top-tier talent in the 2014 draft class with the kind of size (6-foot-4, 250 pounds at the NFL Scouting Combine), athleticism and playmaking potential to dominate as a flex tight end. In Detroit, Ebron never quite developed into the difference maker Lions officials expected when he was selected ahead of the likes of Odell Beckham Jr., Aaron Donald, Ryan Shazier, Zack Martin, Taylor Lewan and C.J. Mosley. Part of Ebron's failures could be attributed to scheme and utilization, but the bulk of the blame belongs to the young player due to his immaturity, inconsistent hands and lack of discipline. Lions officials questioned his commitment to the game and wondered if he would ever get it as a pro. Moreover, they didn't think he could evolve from his role as a pass-catching tight end to the traditional "Y" position.
  13. I guess you told me so again.
  14. Well that's your opinion, I guess it's time to shut the board down and never talk about how these guys are doing until maybe 2020.
  15. NFL Week 7: Previews and Analysis of Each Sunday Game by Andy Benoit 2 hours ago SAINTS AT RAVENS, 4:05 P.M., FOX The Ravens, who have allowed the fewest points per game, love to rush five and play zone coverage with six. This is commonly called a “fire zone.” The Saints, who have scored the most points per game, have two staple plays that naturally attack fire zones: slant routes, where top receiver Michael Thomas excels, and backfield screens, which running backs Mark Ingram and Alvin Kamara execute extremely well. Slants and screens get the ball underneath, away from that fifth Baltimore pass rusher.
  16. I told you so isn't the issue. All players are assessed weekly at every position.
  17. It is, but there are still attributes that you look for.
  18. Allen has played one good half of football against MIN with most of his best plays being when he used his legs and a couple of nice passes here and there. Rosen played one excellent game, one poor game, one decent game, and last night was terrible. It's very early with a long time to go before we know who is what. They both need much improved supporting casts to bring out their best talents.
  19. Good try. That would be a bad assumption. The PFF stat is about OL play not the QB.
  20. It's always subject to change and they do update it to reflect the latest.
