  1. The choice on who to do this week’s opponent scouting report on was certainly a tough one. The Buffalo Bills’ offense is statistically the worst in NFL history up to this point in the season but their defense is loaded with talent. Currently ranking as the third best defense in football, the Bills have many contributors such as Trent Murphy, Kyle Williams, Lorenzo Alexander, former Colt Jerry Hughes, Tre’Davious White, Jordan Poyer, and Micah Hyde. That is a ton of talent right there but none of those guys intrigued me as much as inside linebacker Matt Milano. Milano is a very underrated player and is the leader of the Bills defense. In only his second season out of Boston College, Milano has made a name for himself as a sure tackling, coverage linebacker. The former collegiate safety currently has 42 tackles, 6 tackles for a loss, 1 interception, and 1 sack. Last year against the Colts, Milano tallied his career high 11 tackles. So what makes Milano such a good player on the Bills’ defense? Serving as the Thomas Davis in Head Coach Sean McDermott’s defense, Milano is the best coverage linebacker on the team. He is currently ranked as the 9th best linebacker in all of football according to PFF and has the 9th highest coverage grade among linebackers as well. So why am I worried about Milano for Sunday’s game? Let’s look at some film and find out.
  2. I have eyes and actually watch him play. You can play cheerleader.
  3. First of all it was week 4 when he started and Mike McCoy got himself fired as he's now done three times in two years with three different teams. Just like Allen, Rosen has a bad supporting cast that has gotten worse with OL injuries that have both starting guards shelved. In previous games he was able to step up in the pocket when pressured, but with the OL getting overwhelmed that has gone away. His 1st start was impressive to me with great throw after throw all game long with excellent decision making and accuracy with good pocket mobility and cool under pressure. Your characterization of his play is disingenuous at best. The All-22 links tell the story even if you don't want to.
  4. Unknowing? What the heck are you even talking about with this rambling? All I need to do is watch him and the others play. He started the season behind and he still is. I wish he hadn't gotten injured so because he needs game experience. Your long post isn't telling me anything I don't already know with regard to the supporting cast. I hope he gets back soon.
  5. I remember when the Eagles wanted Perry Tuttle, but had to settle for Mike Quick after the Bills traded up to jump them.
  6. Don't hate! Appreciate. Make sure you tell Andy Benoit, Gary Gramling, and many others that they have no integrity.
  7. Go worship Nathan Peterman who you thought was going to be good. That's your Quarterback. ? You know nothing. You say that, but it was widely acclaimed as an excellent game by him and it was. Bill with it!
  8. You obviously didn't watch. Another late comer to the thread since Thursday.
  9. Boxscore scouting again. Look at the actual game and the throws that were made in post after post in this thread.
  10. That has to get fixed next season.
  11. Yeah. That will happen. Helluva throw nonetheless.
  12. No I don't and he isn't. Sometimes he does and other times he does not. He still has things to improve upon, just like any other rookie.
  13. Regardless of who your throwing targets are, a QB still has to process pre and post snap information rapidly and quickly to get the ball out on time and accurately. No boxscore or stat line examination will tell you any of that.
  14. Boxscore scouting? You should know better.
  15. Higher ceiling if he matches physical ability with the other aspects of playing the position well at the NFL level. We all hope he makes it there.
  16. 100% wrong. It's pretty obvious who has never looked in on the thread or posted in it before TNF this week.
  17. By design. "I don't like to talk publicly about specific plays," he told me, "because I've heard too many coaches accidentally reveal things with what they thought were innocent, general comments.")
  18. I know what I see as far as certain QB skill sets that translate to success or failure at the NFL level. It doesn't make it 100% certain, but signs are there.
  19. I should dig up the predict the stats for Nathan Peterman's 1st start thread from last season to out just for the hilarity of it and post some of the numbers of some of the peanut gallery. It got really quiet after that until this preseason and now....crickets. Now in here talking smack like they know something.

  21. It's hilarious when people are dismissive without the benefit of any information.
