The Rosen Era Has Begun in Arizona

There are very few here saying Allen is a bust and I'm certainly not among them. It's been obvious from the beginning that he would need time as I have said from the onset. Fair or unfair he's playing football in the NFL as a starter so his shortcomings will be scrutinized to death. That's the way it is in the NFL so there's no sense in crying about it. -

Lying? That's a strong word to use with no evidence. His 1st throw of the game was in the dirt to a wide open receiver. He came on late with a couple of really good throws to Benjamin with one being wiped out by penalty. But he struggled for most of the game with the Texans playing a lot of coverage looks that confused him. -
Buffalo Bills vs. Indianapolis Colts: Preview, odds, predictions for Week 7 INDIANAPOLIS -- The Buffalo Bills (2-4) were so close to a road win against the Houston Texans last Sunday. If not for a pair of Nathan Peterman fourth-quarter interceptions, the Bills may be entering this Sunday's game against the Indianapolis Colts (1-5) at .500 with a chance to go to 4-3 before a massive Monday Night Football showdown with Tom Brady and the New England Patriots the following week. But alas, the Bills didn't get the victory and now are facing a must-win game in Week 7 against the Colts. It's going to be a classic matchup of offense vs. defense. Colts quarterback Andrew Luck is ranked second in the league with 16 touchdowns and he is up against the third-best defense in the NFL this week in the Bills. Buffalo has seemingly moved on from the Peterman experiment and have inserted veteran journeyman quarterback Derek Anderson into the lineup. Bills rookie quarterback Josh Allen suffered a sprained elbow injury last week against Houston and is week-to-week, but looks to have avoided any surgery. Anderson will try and lead the worst passing attack in the NFL against the Colts, who haven't put up much of a fight against opposing teams' passing games so far this season. Indianapolis is allowing 280 yards of offense per game this season and only six teams in the NFL are giving up more. Bills receiver Kelvin Benjamin isn't having the type of year he hoped for through six weeks. He's only caught one touchdown and has yet to eclipse the 150-yard mark for the season. Benjamin played with Anderson in Carolina and even caught the first touchdown of his career from the 35-year-old veteran. The Bills passing game needs Benjamin to get going and the familiarity with Anderson could be something to give him a spark. Parrino's Prediction: Colts 24, Bills 21 Talbot's prediction: Bills 20, Colts 10

That's exactly what I'd like to do is discuss the merits based on actual game play. -
I don't overlook this at all and the Bills did him no favors by putting him in a less than ideal situation. I have brought this up on multiple occasions in many different threads so you don't know what you're talking about. That doesn't mean there aren't plays to be made that he misses out on due to his inexperience. That is normal and the hope is that he'll improve with more game experience. Hate has nothing to do with an honest assessment of him as player and it's such a nothing juvenile term.

Joe B: 5 things to watch for in Buffalo Bills vs. Indianapolis Colts (10/21/18) (WKBW) - One week ago, the Buffalo Bills had a chance at a .500 record through six weeks with a rookie quarterback at the helm. That would have been a tremendous accomplishment given how the season began. One week later, rookie quarterback Josh Allen suffered a sprained elbow on his throwing arm which will cause him to miss at least this week if not more, all while watching their other young quarterback implode at the end of the game. The Bills lost, bringing their record to 2-4 on the season, and now have the 35-year-old Derek Anderson listed as their starter heading into Week Seven. What might it all look like, and where are the biggest matchups for the Bills against the Indianapolis Colts? Five things to watch for when the Bills and Colts face off at Lucas Oil Stadium on Sunday: 1) Bills strength on offense is also the Colts strength on defense 2) Derek Anderson might need to throw it a bunch 3) Andrew Luck will test the secondary 4) Bills must put pressure on center Ryan Kelly 5) A role on offense for Cam Phillips? Injury Report Buffalo OUT: QB Josh Allen (right elbow), RB Taiwan Jones (neck) Indianapolis OUT: DT Denico Autry (hamstring), TE Jack Doyle (hip), S Clayton Geathers (concussion, neck), WR Ryan Grant (ankle), RB Robert Turbin (shoulder) QUESTIONABLE: CB Arthur Maulet (hip), CB Chris Milton (hamstring), TE Erik Swoope (knee) Bills Projected Inactives: QB Josh Allen, RB Taiwan Jones, T Conor McDermott, G Wyatt Teller, G Ike Boettger, CB Ryan Lewis, CB Dontae Johnson - After getting burned by special teams last week, I’m anticipating a bit over an over-correction to get Julian Stanford, who has received 70.41-percent of special teams snaps in games the Bills have made him active. With Rafael Bush a bit healthier and having the ability to play nickel corner in a pinch, the Bills can feel comfortable in making both Ryan Lewis and Dontae Johnson inactive to try and get their special teams back on track. Prediction: Colts over Bills

The best game? no. Allen had one pretty good half of football in that game before the Bills shut things down in the 2nd half. Thereafter he was pretty bad in GB, against TEN, and struggled further in HOU although he mixed in a couple of impressive throws including the one he was injured on. Most of his best plays have been made with his legs as shown in MIN and against TEN. I watch football all across the league and that includes keeping tabs on Allen's peers from the '18 draft. Lots of insecurity here on TSW. -

Compelling, convincing, and clear evidence. Well done. -
Opponent Scouting Report: Matt Milano is a Game Changer The choice on who to do this week’s opponent scouting report on was certainly a tough one. The Buffalo Bills’ offense is statistically the worst in NFL history up to this point in the season but their defense is loaded with talent. Currently ranking as the third best defense in football, the Bills have many contributors such as Trent Murphy, Kyle Williams, Lorenzo Alexander, former Colt Jerry Hughes, Tre’Davious White, Jordan Poyer, and Micah Hyde. That is a ton of talent right there but none of those guys intrigued me as much as inside linebacker Matt Milano. Milano is a very underrated player and is the leader of the Bills defense. In only his second season out of Boston College, Milano has made a name for himself as a sure tackling, coverage linebacker. The former collegiate safety currently has 42 tackles, 6 tackles for a loss, 1 interception, and 1 sack. Last year against the Colts, Milano tallied his career high 11 tackles. So what makes Milano such a good player on the Bills’ defense? Serving as the Thomas Davis in Head Coach Sean McDermott’s defense, Milano is the best coverage linebacker on the team. He is currently ranked as the 9th best linebacker in all of football according to PFF and has the 9th highest coverage grade among linebackers as well. So why am I worried about Milano for Sunday’s game? Let’s look at some film and find out.
