I thought the Lions would put Darius Slay on Foster last week, but he was on Zay. This week I expect it to be Gilmore. The paragraph below is excerpted from Joe B's 5 things to watch writeup. 2) Will Foster get the Gilmore treatment? - Working in Allen’s favor since his return has been the rapid development of undrafted rookie Robert Foster, who has had 100-yard performances — or just short of it — in three of the last four games. However, if there’s one thing that has kept the brilliance of Belichick a step ahead of the rest, he can take away the thing that has brought you the most recent success. And considering that Belichick has Stephon Gilmore in his back pocket, who is one of the best cornerbacks in the NFL right now, I would not be surprised to see Gilmore following Foster around wherever he goes. It’s a tip of the cap to Foster, surely, but also a bit of a challenge from Belichick to prove that he’s not just a flash in the pan taking advantage of the opponent’s second cornerback. Zay Jones has been solid in 2018, but hasn’t done nearly enough to warrant the Gilmore type of treatment, and doesn’t offer the same big-play potential as Foster does. For the undrafted rookie, he needs to show a complete precision on his routes and not just to rely that the threat of his speed will keep the defender off enough for him to gain separation in the underneath areas. Gilmore is a fantastic athlete, a fluid hip mover, and one that can turn and run with the best of them in man coverage. He’ll also get physical with Foster right at the line of scrimmage, even to try and discourage right from the get-go. If the Patriots do stick Gilmore on Foster, this will be a fantastic look for the front office to see what they have in the undrafted player against one of the best in the game.

He's already showing the ability to run more routes that just your typical speed receiver whose job it is to create room for others. I think Daboll will have the offense designed with Allen reading the defense and targeting the open receiver whether it's Foster or someone else. New England will try to take him away from Josh.

Because they are different circumstances that are fundamental to how football is played on every level with a 2 point penalty for a safety as the consequence for fumbling out of your own end zone. That current rule is punitive to the offense as is the rule of fumbling out of the opponents end zone that you want to reward a do over for.

Rams and Bills May Have Discussed Hughes Trade
26CornerBlitz replied to Coach Tuesday's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
From back in November just after the trade deadline. Sources: Rams inquired about Clowney, Hughes Then, as they continued discussions with the Jaguars regarding Fowler, the Rams also made a push as recently as last week to acquire Bills defensive end Jerry Hughes, only to get rejected by Buffalo as well, according to sources.
