Inside the Film Room with McDermott and Tasker
26CornerBlitz replied to 26CornerBlitz's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Film Room: Third Down Defense vs. Patriots (3:16) In this week's episode of Inside the Film Room, HC Sean McDermott and Steve Tasker break down the Bills' impressive third-down defense during the Week 8 game against the New England Patriots. -
Remi Elie will dress for the first time Oct. 18, replacing Tage Thompson in the lineup. He'll skate on a line with Casey Mittelstadt and Sam Reinhart. "He's been sitting for a while, he's been waiting, he's been working hard in practice," Housley said. "He's had a really good approach every day even though he's been out, with a good attitude and he's been a good teammate. So, we're going to give him an opportunity. I just like what he's going to bring to our team, which is speed and physicality." Jake McCabe (upper body) will be a game-time decision on defense. If he does dress, here's how the full lineup is expected to look based on Wednesday's practice, with Carter Hutton starting in net: 53 Jeff Skinner - 9 Jack Eichel - 29 Jason Pominville 43 Conor Sheary - 17 Vladimir Sobotka - 21 Kyle Okposo 81 Remi Elie - 37 Casey Mittelstadt - 23 Sam Reinhart 10 Patrik Berglund - 22 Johan Larsson - 28 Zemgus Girgensons 19 Jake McCabe - 55 Rasmus Ristolainen 6 Marco Scandella - 4 Zach Bogosian 26 Rasmus Dahlin - 8 Casey Nelson 40 Carter Hutton 35 Linus Ullmark

Lindsey Thiry ESPN Rams WR Cooper Kupp is participating in practice today and is expected to play Sunday against the Saints. "I know he's feeling good and confident and excited to be back out there," Sean McVay said. Kupp has been sidelined since the second half of a Week 6 win at Denver because of a knee sprain. Mike Triplett ESPN Staff Writer Drew Brees said the only other time he can remember facing two defensive tackles as disruptive as the Rams' Aaron Donald and Ndamukong Suh was back at Purdue, when he faced Georgia's Richard Seymour and Marcus Stroud in the 2000 Outback Bowl. "But at this level, it's really unheard of to have Suh and Donald in there. Those guys are unbelievable." When Saints DT Sheldon Rankins was asked what stands out about Donald, who leads the NFL with 10 sacks, Rankins said, "I don't want to heap too much praise on him right before we play him. But he's probably the best defensive tackle I've ever seen play."

McD - Allen isn't too far off in throwing again

Exactly the case. No way Beane and McDermott draft another 1st round QB in '19. -

They obviously believe they have done just that. -
For the third time in four weeks, the Buffalo Bills will have a different starting quarterback, and in Week Nine against Chicago, it's none other than the embattled Nathan Peterman. Can fans expect the same, or is Peterman going to play like he's got nothing to lose? Joe Buscaglia and Matthew Fairburn discuss Peterman, the new wide receiver Terrelle Pryor, and how the Bills match up with the Bears -- along with predictions. In this episode, Sal Maiorana and Leo Roth delve into more quarterback drama for the Bills as they are forced to turn back to Nathan Peterman for their game against the Bears. There's a lot to digest, so enjoy.

That's an impractical way to find and develop a QB with the way the CBA restricts offseason time at the team facility and even practice reps during the season. The better plan is to invest in the supporting cast to make the players around him as good as possible just as PHI, KC, LAR, and CHI have done with their young QBs. -

Agreed. Anderson was never that good to begin with and with him being rustier than a 100 year old nail in settled in the bottom of the ocean you couldn't realistically expect too much out of him. -

That would be tragic for the franchise given what they gave up to get him. I cannot see them being that impatient with "their guy" and he has to develop into a franchise QB or there will be bad outcomes for the team and the current regime.
