  2. Bills GM: We'll 'definitely' Keep RB McCoy for '19 Bills general manager Brandon Beane says running back LeSean McCoy remains part of the team's plans for next season. "We like what he brings, to the point we'll have him back in 2019."
  3. Beane Takes Accountability for QB 'mistake' Buffalo general manager Brandon Beane, unlike McDermott, admitted to the Buffalo News this week that he made mistakes in regard to the quarterback position. Beane traded away AJ McCarron to the Oakland Raiders after Peterman beat him out for the starting job. Beane then waited until October to sign another veteran option until in Anderson. The GM called it like he saw it, and he didn’t even need to watch the tape to make his analysis. “In hindsight, I made a mistake. I should have got Derek here as quick as possible, once we let AJ go,” Beane said. “We (traded McCarron) right as we’re putting that roster together, the final 53, and you’re trying to protect as many guys as you can. Some guys are not going to help you immediately at the beginning of the year. They’re young players that aren’t necessarily ready to play, but there is a talent there and you feel like someone else would take them from you if you exposed them. So you’re weighing that balance of who you can let go. It’s probably close to split, I don’t know the numbers this year, but in the past of teams that keep two quarterbacks and teams that keep three. So we’re trying to wait a week or two in to get Derek. We had a couple injuries, but again, I erred. I shouldn’t have worried about it. I should have just got him here. I’m glad I got him here when I did, but at the same time, I’m mad at myself that I didn’t get him here immediately.”
  4. Game Preview: Rams and Saints Set to Battle as NFC’s Best Clarence Dennis - Rams' STAFF WRITER The Rams (8-0) will travel to New Orleans to take on the Saints (6-1) for the third time in three seasons in Week 9. In 2016, the Saints beat the Rams 49-21 in quarterback Jared Goff’s second-career start. Last season, Goff and the Rams got revenge back home in the L.A. Memorial Coliseum — beating the Saints 26-20. Goff threw for 354 yards in that game, one yard shy of his career high, which remained until Week 4 of this season, when Goff threw for 465 yards against the Vikings.
  5. 7 Things to Tatch in Bills-Bears and Around the NFL This Weekend It’s been a practice week dominated by the injury report for both the Bills and the Bears. Chicago may be without dominant pass rusher Khalil Mack for the second straight game and starting right guard Kyle Long is out the rest of the year with a foot injury. Bills quarterback Derek Anderson and middle linebacker Tremaine Edmunds did not practice on Wednesday or Thursday. Quarterback Nathan Peterman is preparing to start this week. So, Bills fans can keep one eye on the injury updates and the following news and notes as week nine looms on the NFL schedule. 1. PETERMAN NEEDS TO FINISH WHAT HE STARTS 2. WAITING FOR SHADY 3. 6. Clapper of the Year? We know who wins that hands down.
  7. Plenty of good players on that defense with some shootouts earlier this season. #1 against the run and near the bottom against the pass. They have been coming on beyond the stats if you have been watching.
  8. As the 2019 season crosses the midway point, one undefeated team remains. The Los Angeles Rams advanced to 8-0 for the first time since 1969 with a win over the Green Bay Packers in Week 8.

  11. Brady has also had Belichick while Rodgers has been with Mike McCarthy. A distinct advantage for TB12.
  12. Circumstances man. I always look behind the numbers and I'm not going to cheerleader it up for any of the Bills' players if their performance says they stink. I've been killing Benjamin all season because he's mostly played like dog poo with low energy. Funny how no one seems to mind that.
