Jets' QB Sam Darnold to Miss Bills Game with Foot Sprain Sam Darnold is limping into the middle portion of his rookie season. The New York Jets quarterback has a boot on his right foot and is in street clothes at Wednesday's practice, the team announced. NFL Network Insider Ian Rapoport reports Darnold is dealing with a foot sprain, which will sideline him for Sunday's game against the Buffalo Bills. Rapoport adds Darnold will be re-evaluated on a week-by-week basis following the team's Week 11 bye. The No. 3 overall pick took a beating in the Jets' Week 9 loss in Miami and said after the game that he got dinged up. "Yeah, I feel fine, some bumps and some bruises, but everything is good," Darnold said on Monday, via Manish Mehta of the New York Daily News. By Wednesday he was in a walking boot.

This is quite the scary thought.

Jets QB Sam Darnold Misses Wednesday Practice Jets rookie QB Sam Darnold was on the practice field Wednesday, but he rookie signal caller had a boot on his right foot and was a non-participant during the time the media is allowed to watch practice. Darnold, who was without his helmet and not in pads, was wearing a green baseball cap and his black Salute the Service practice jersey along with jogging pants. Darnold, who has started the team’s first nine games, was sacked four times and hit seven times during Sunday’s 13-6 loss to the Dolphins.

He does, but he and Peterman lower the excitement factor by a significant amount for an already terrible matchup.
