  1. Kelvin Benjamin Says His Year Has Hit 'Rock Bottom' By Herbie Teope, Around The NFL Writer Bills WR Kelvin Benjamin described his 2018 season as "rock bottom." Benjamin is averaging just two catches per game this season. Can he turn it around for the remaining slate of games? Wide receiver Kelvin Benjamin is having a season to forget for the Buffalo Bills. With just 20 catches for 302 yards and a touchdown on the season, Benjamin categorized his 2018 campaign, which is a contract year, as reaching "rock bottom," according to Mike Rodak of ESPN. "It's just a bad season," Benjamin said. "It is what it is. Just football, man. You have good seasons, you have bad seasons. I've had successful seasons in this league. I'll have plenty more. For some reason, it's just not the year." Plenty has gone wrong with Benjamin's season, but perhaps some of the issues could be directed to an unsettled quarterback position, as rookie Josh Allen, Nathan Peterman, Derek Anderson and Matt Barkley all drew a start at some point through 10 games.
  2. Orchard Park, N.Y. (WKBW) - "You have to believe. That's the biggest thing, you have to believe." Phoebe Schecter has come a long way. It all started when she moved to the United Kingdom a few years ago and took a chance. "A couple months after moving, I saw an ad for American football and I thought it'd be a really great way to meet people and get a bit of American culture," Schecter said. "From the first time I started playing, I haven't looked back." Schecter is a linebacker for the national team in Great Britain but isn't overseas playing at the moment. "I just wanted to keep developing myself and learning more about the sport," she said.
  3. Why Josh Allen is Confident in Return from Elbow Injury He was surprisingly specific when it came to the injury that has kept him sidelined for the Bills last four games. The improvement in Josh Allen’s elbow from the week leading up to the Jets game to now has been significant. “I definitely think it was (a good decision),” said Allen of sitting out the Jets game. “The difference I feel in the elbow right now compared to two weeks ago, it’s a very big difference. I’m making throws where I don’t have to second guess,” said Allen. “I’m putting the ball where it needs to be. When I’m making this throw there’s no grabbing or pulling in there. It feels comfortable and fluid. Maybe two weeks ago I may have had a couple of throws where I didn’t want to make that throw yet. Now it’s full game and every throw is on the table.” All signs are pointing to Allen returning to the lineup Sunday against Jacksonville, a team with the fourth ranked defense that ranks ninth in points allowed and has allowed the fewest first downs in the league.
  4. Been hearing his name too as an up an coming guy to look out for.
  5. No way Koetter survives after this season.
  6. I have to wonder if the release is more than a coincidence with the Steelers now in their rear view mirror.
  7. Yeah. Bortles should feel great about that. It's fault of Coughlin and Caldwell for staying with Bortles this long when they could have done something to address an obvious weakness.
  8. Michael DiRocco ESPN Staff Writer Jaguars coach Doug Marrone said QB Blake Bortles remains the starter as the team tries to snap a six-game losing streak on Sunday in Buffalo. "When you say that, you've got to see if someone you put in there is going to be better," Marrone said about lineup changes in general. "That's the point of what it is right now and I don't think that we've ever not looked at if we can put someone in there that's going to perform better. That comes during the week of practice. Then if someone can perform better during that week we'll be able to do that. You can't just replace people just to replace them. You've got to replace them with people that you feel are going to do a better job for you." Bortles completed 10-of-18 passes for 104 yards in Sunday's 20-16 loss to Pittsburgh.
  9. Drew wins it for the 1st time in a Brees.
  10. So is Matt Milano as a former CFB Safety. It's a trend these days to have WLB on the smaller side.
  11. EJ Gaines is out for the season with Cleveland which is the exact reason why the Bills didn't re-sign him.
  12. Audio from Locker Room Interviews: 11-19: Josh Allen (8:03) 11-19: Zay Jones (3:43) 11-19: Kelvin Benjamin (1:30) 11-19: Deonte Thompson (3:26)
  13. Benjamin said he's going to leave everything on the field. "We got six games left and I gotta try and go all out and put my body on the line," he said. "Hopefully I come out healthy and just get ready for the offseason."
  14. Projected Lineup Pominville will remain on the top line alongside Jeff Skinner and Jack Eichel after rejoining them in the third period on Saturday. The trio was on the ice for a pair of goals against the Jets, including Pominville's winner with 1:30 remaining. The rest of the lineup will remain the same other than at goaltender, where Hutton will return. Here's how it looked at the team's morning skate: 53 Jeff Skinner - 9 Jack Eichel - 29 Jason Pominville 43 Conor Sheary - 37 Casey Mittelstadt - 21 Kyle Okposo 72 Tage Thompson - 17 Vladimir Sobotka - 23 Sam Reinhart 10 Patrik Berglund - 22 Johan Larsson - 28 Zemgus Girgensons 19 Jake McCabe - 55 Rasmus Ristolainen 26 Rasmus Dahlin - 4 Zach Bogosian 6 Marco Scandella - 8 Casey Nelson 40 Carter Hutton 35 Linus Ullmark
  15. Week 11 overreactions: Is Andrew Luck really this good ... again? Andrew Luck is a legitimate MVP candidate Luck threw three touchdown passes in Sunday's victory over a Tennessee Titans team that smothered Tom Brady a week earlier. It is the seventh game in a row in which he has thrown at least three touchdown passes. The last time he had a single-game QBR under 92 (on a scale of 0-to-100, remember) was Oct. 14. The last time he took a sack was Oct. 4. The Colts, who were supposed to be one of the worst teams in the league, are 5-5 and in the AFC wild-card picture. Graziano's verdict: NOT AN OVERREACTION. I'm not saying he's a leading candidate, mind you. There are plenty of those, from Patrick Mahomes to Drew Brees to Todd Gurley to Ben Roethlisberger. If the season ended today, I couldn't advocate for Luck as the winner of the MVP award. But how can he not be in the discussion at this point? Only Mahomes has thrown more touchdown passes. Only Brees, Mahomes, Jared Goff and Mitchell Trubisky ranked ahead of Luck in Total QBR as of Sunday morning, and his went up. The Colts won only four games last year without him and already have five wins this year. Sure, there are other factors (not the least of which is his career-best pass protection), but it's hard to say Luck's return hasn't been valuable to his team. If nothing else, he looks like a front-runner for Comeback Player of the Year.
