  1. I thought it was great. Like I posted before there was a bit of everything in that game including impact plays by both defenses. To each his own I guess with some being football traditionalists.

  3. Defense also set up two other TDs with very short fields. Defense impacted that game heavily regardless of the high score. Mahomes had 3 INT (2 on great plays) and 2 fumbles forced by Donald. This cannot be ignored.
  4. No situation is exactly the same, but all of them were on mediocre to bad teams. Allen has missed 4 games that allowed him to watch and learn. Now it's time to get back on the horse and that's what he'll do starting this Sunday.
  5. Game experience will do him well to shorten his learning curve along with the other young players who are getting playing time this season as the team focuses on 2019 and beyond. The youth movement is underway and there's no sense in waiting until next season for Allen to get on the field. He'll play as long as he remains healthy.
  6. Learn by doing. See Wentz, Trubisky, Goff, as well as the other 1st round rookie QBs in the 2018 class.
  7. Mahomes had Alex Smith ahead of him on a playoff bound KC team. The Bills are in a completely different situation.
  8. Keep playing him and let him learn much in the same way Goff and Trubisky did in their respective rookie campaigns. Stop acting as if Allen is mentally fragile when there is no evidence to suggest that.
  9. There were three defensive TDs last night or did you miss that?
  10. Thought I'd bring this up again in light of last night's game. Also with the Saints destroying NFL defenses on a weekly basis.
  11. Not the case. Smith put up good numbers in KC, but nowhere close to this level: Alex Smith Stats | Pro-Football-Reference.com
  12. Cup of coffee or not I think he earned that with the way he departed.
  13. We did have both defenses make plays last night that were a big part of the story.
  14. How Will Rams-Chiefs Impact the Future of the NFL? Monday night's game between the Rams and Chiefs marked a pivotal moment for the NFL. As a result, expect many teams to make major changes this offseason. When something operates at the pace of an AAU basketball game between tireless children, there may not have been enough stoppage time to recognize the strength and direction of the undercurrent surging beneath. Football, after years of being chopped up, hacked into pieces, broken down and frantically welded together, was officially remade on Monday night. And it’s never going back.
  15. Great game with a little bit of everything including big plays on both offense and defense in spite of the large shadow the officiating cast on the contest. Coaching and much better personnel that we have seen the Rams, Chiefs, Eagles, and Bears provide for their young QBs.
  16. 11-20: Phil Housley with Howard and Jeremy on WGR (13:09) #Sabres head coach Phil Housley joins Howard and Jeremy next on WGR for his weekly Tuesday segment! Tune in: Housley - I think we've just stayed calm and kept our composure in the last three games. We had that next shift mentality and stayed the course. We bend, but we don't break. The players dug down and found a way to win, we have the belief that we're never out of it. #Sabres Housley - I believe that our conditioning is a lot better from last season. We came really well prepared to training camp, and you can see the reward for that. There's a reason why we're going hard, and the results are showing. #Sabres Housley - Casey Nelson's goal at the end of the second period really provided us a boost last night. When you're only down by a goal heading into the third, you're never out of it. Our third periods have been good, we're just concerned about our starts. #Sabres Housley on Rasmus Dahlin - I just see the true competitor he is when he makes a mistake on the ice. He's a mentally tough kid. He had that terrific rush in the third period, and just showed how tough he is. (1/2) #Sabres Housley - He's finding out it's going to be tough and you can't be your best every night, but you can see how he responded in the third period. (2/2) #Sabres Housley - Hutton and Ullmark are providing us some solid goaltending. I think we're relying on them a bit too much. We want to be better in front of them, but they have made some big saves for us. #Sabres Housley - I really like the development of our young guys, but Mittelstadt has done a tremendous job. He's getting some more looks and is getting rewarded. Great to see him get that tying goal last night after the work he has put in. #Sabres Housley - we have to understand that we are going to make mistakes with our young guys, and we have to be patient with them. We're going to hold them accountable, but we have to develop them moving forward. #Sabres Housley - We have to get focused again and get the players prepared for Philadelphia. We owe it to our fans that we put our best foot forward, and we're looking forward to play in front of the home fans. #Sabres
  17. Which was not a good look at all for him. Gut it out for 30 minutes of football and then let the team know.
  18. Friendly advise. Don't bet the HOUSE.
