  1. One game is just considering that he wasn't in the game at the time the fracas broke out. It'll be upheld.
  2. He can appeal, but it will be to no avail. He's getting that one game.
  3. There's a 15 yard penalty for an illegal use of an apostrophe. I'm giving the OP the business which is allowed per Ben Dreith.

  5. The All-22 Coaches Film via GamePass is available. Will be taking a look at the the differences in Bills' run defense between the 1st and 2nd half.
  6. Wrapping up Week 12 with one game left on the slate … 1. There were three issues with the Jaguars offense to speak of coming out of the team’s 11th game. First, there was lack of consistency in execution—the playcalls going into the huddle simply weren’t being run as they were drawn up, which could be a result of communication or a revolving door at certain spots, and that manifested in small mistakes all over the place compounding. Second, the team has been decimated by injuries, with seven linemen, four tight ends, the team’s top receiver and its top two running backs among the afflicted. And third, the quarterback hasn’t taken steps forward. So the team pulled the plug on Monday on both OC Nathaniel Hackett and QB Blake Bortles. I spoke to Hackett in the aftermath, and he was respectful of the call that Doug Marrone (who he’s worked with for the last nine years) made. “I’m grateful to them for giving me the opportunity just to have a chance to call plays,” Hackett said. “We had a great run last year, being in that AFC Championship, getting there and being so close. I mean, we were supposed to win four or five games, we lose [Allen Robinson] in the first game, it was awesome. … Looking back at it, there were things that hurt us with the injuries, but you have to find a way to overcome it. Unfortunately we couldn’t finish games the way we’d have liked. The truth is, my head’s still kind of spinning here.” 2. Last season Bortles survived an August benching to get Jacksonville to the AFC title game and score a big extension, so you never say never. But it sure seems this would be it for the Jaguars quarterback, with the team staring down a very tenuous cap situation in 2019. So the logistics of releasing Bortles? The team still has about $6.5 million in guarantees to account for, which can be offset by whatever another team might be willing to pay him. There’s also $10 million in dead money, on top of that guarantee, to bring the total to be accounted for, if he’s released, to $16.5 million, which is only $4.5 million less than the $21 million cap number he’s scheduled to carry next year if he is on the team. As for the new starter, going to Cody Kessler is likely as much about being able to sell the locker room on its quarterback and giving the team a spark as anything.
  7. As dumb as his actions were, that is enough for the transgression of leaving the sidelines.
  8. Yeah. Let's hope Fournette doesn't bother with an appeal.
  9. I'm just happy the Sabres didn't have to settle for Strome in the 15 draft.
  10. Sean McDermott: "We've Gotta Continue to Grow" (9:01) Leslie Frazier: "Really Proud of the Way Our Guys Bounced Back on Defense" (5:41) Brian Daboll: "Good to Get a Win at Home" (10:07)
  11. 11-26: Kyle Williams on WGR (13:22) Williams on Fournette - Guy pushes someone in the back and starts throwing punches, I mean that's ridiculous. Williams on the brawl - We get the stop and the missed field goal right after. Huge turning point of the game. As pivotal a moment as there was. Williams - We did a good job of going from a high emotional situation that got out of control to locking back in and focusing. Williams - It was a tough, hard fought win. Good for our team. Give some of our young guys a chance to be in a bloody nosed battle. 11-26: Sean McDermott on WGR (15:45) McDermott - I've been in a few fights in my life. McDermott on the Jags rivalry - It's easy to see the connection with coach Marrone, the playoff game, and they like to talk a little. McDermott - I think it's important players play not afraid to make a mistake. If they do it more than once, than we're going to have a conversation. McDermott on Robert Foster - Speed is a commodity in this league. We felt like he had the potential to develop into a real receiver. You don't often get the combination of size, speed, & toughness. McDermott - That's fair right? As long as they call it both ways. They're human. As long as it evens out by the end of the game or the end of the season. McDermott on Robert Foster: "You don't often find his combination of size, speed and toughness" What an afternoon it turned out to be in Orchard Park yesterday. In wake of a highly-contested 24-21 victory over the Jacksonville Jaguars, Buffalo Bills head coach Sean McDermott joined Schopp & the Bulldog as part of WGR Sports Radio 550's Football Monday festivities. Here is some of the best from McDermott's time on WGR.
  12. TSN Power Rankings: Sabres Keep Finding Ways to Win What a difference a year makes for the red-hot Buffalo Sabres. Last year after their first 24 games of the season, the Sabres were 6-14-4 and the worst-ranked team in TSN's weekly 7-Eleven Power Rankings. Buffalo went on to finish dead last in the overall NHL standings in 2017-18 with just 25 wins and 62 points. Twenty-four games into the 2018-19 season, the Sabres look like a legitimate playoff contender. They’re 16-6-2 and on a nine-game winning streak – one off their franchise record set in 1983-84 and matched again in 2006-07 – to move up four spots to No. 1 this week in our 7-Eleven Power Rankings, according to consensus rankings formulated by the TSN Power Ranking panel of Ray Ferraro, Jeff O’Neill, Jamie McLennan, Craig Button and Darren Dreger. The Sabres, ranked No. 24 in our second Power Rankings of the season, could turn out to be this season’s version of the 2017-18 Colorado Avalanche. The Avs finished dead last in 2016-17 and then made the playoffs last year. The Sabres also look like a team that’s on track to reach the postseason (for the first time in eight seasons) after finishing dead last the previous season. They’re getting first-rate goaltending from Carter Hutton (11-6-1, .919 save percentage) and Linus Ullmark (5-0-1, .926 SV%) while the additions of No. 1 draft pick Rasmus Dahlin and former Carolina Hurricane Jeff Skinner (also a former No. 1 pick and Calder Trophy winner) have complemented captain Jack Eichel, who leads the team in scoring with 28 points.
