  3. Bills defensive end Shaq Lawson had a speaking engagement at a high school on Tuesday and students were invited to ask him questions about topics other than last Sunday’s win over the Jaguars. Lawson was ejected from that game for exchanging punches with Jaguars running back Leonard Fournetteand the chance to find out what was going through Lawson’s mind was too much for one questioner to resist. “At the time, how the whole situation happened, I was defending myself because he came from the sideline,” Lawson said, via the Buffalo News. “So at that time, I was basically defending myself and my team, fighting for my brothers. Ain’t nobody going to let anybody in this world let a man throw a punch at you and you won’t react to it. I mean, on my part, I apologized for reacting that way. I mean, at the end of the day, people will understand where I’m coming from.” Fournette also said he was sticking up for a teammate, but the fact that he came off the bench to do so led the league to suspend him for one game on Monday. Lawson was not suspend, but said he expects to both be fined and appeal that fine.

  5. 11-27: Phil Housley with Howard and Jeremy on WGR (11:45) #Sabres head coach Phil Housley joins Howard and Jeremy next for his weekly visit on WGR! Tune in: Housley - I have to give credit to our guys for this winning streak. They found the energy, especially on the back-to-back games. #Sabres Housley - the teams we were playing are tough teams to play, tough buildings to play in. Our guys settled in a little bit, our goaltending has been strong for us. The guys have been focused. #Sabres Housley on Thompson - He earned a spot on our team; didn't get the start he wanted and took a step back, but it wasn't a bad thing for him. He made the most of his opportunity when he got back. He uses his instincts and his skill, and we can see the type of player he is. #Sabres Housley - His release comes right off his stick fast. He has an incredible shot, it's always been deadly.Just glad he;s using his speed wide and using his strength. Hope he can continue to use it more often. #Sabres Housley on Kyle Okposo - He's a power forward. he gets in the corners and gets guys on his back. He's a dog on a bone and not letting guys off the hook. He's been one of our leaders to come forward and lead by example. #Sabres Housley - I'm really happy for our fans. Last year was a tough year, and the guys made it a point to get off to good starts and get the fans into it. The players feed off the fans, and it's great they come out to support us. #Sabres Housley on Carter Hutton - He's been terrific. I knew what he was all about while I was with him in Nashville. He's made some huge saves for us, both of our goalies have. Carter has spring-boarded off the start of his season and has helped us win some games. #Sabres
  6. They are building around Josh Allen irrespective of McCoy being on the team. That much is crystal clear.
  7. Fillm Study: Andrew Luck Better Than Ever For much of the past year, many wondered if we’d already seen the best of Andrew Luck. Even three weeks into this season, some questioned the health of Luck’s surgically repaired right shoulder, citing a wealth of dink-and-dunk throws (5.3 yards per attempt in Weeks 1-3 despite a 68.6 percent completion rate) and Jacoby Brissett’s cameo on a Hail Mary against the Eagles. Two months later, Luck might be better than ever. He posted his eighth straight game with three-plus passing touchdowns — the second-longest streak ever, behind only Tom Brady’s 10-game run in 2007 — on Sunday against the Dolphins, earning the Colts their fifth straight win with a rally reminiscent of Indy’s 2012 and 2013 teams.
