  1. A quick hit from McDermott's presser today before practice: Foster’s wake-up call Rookie Robert Foster made the Bills 53-man roster when the season opened Week 1. By Week 7 however, his uneven performance and lack of production led to his release on Oct. 18th. Although he was signed to the Bills practice squad the next day, the transaction served as clear notice to him that he had to redouble his efforts to carve out an NFL career. “Yeah it was a wake-up call,” said McDermott when asked about Foster’s demotion. “Sometimes players need a wake-up call. Life in the NFL, as we onboard these young players, life in the NFL… you’re not on scholarship. Some guys need to understand that. There’s an onboarding process that we go through. Some players already have it. Some players it takes more time and unfortunately some players never get it.” Fortunately, for Foster, he made the most of his time on the practice squad and come Week 10 earned a call-up to the active roster. What he’s done with that opportunity is produce. In the last two games, Foster has put up five receptions for 199 yards and a touchdown. “We just have to continue to develop these guys. Sometimes it takes time and sometimes some guys get it quicker than others,” said McDermott. “Foster is a good example. An undrafted guy out of Alabama who didn’t play a whole lot there. We continue to work with these men on and off the field and when given the opportunity what are you going to do with it? “His understanding that this is serious and in a moment’s notice things change,” McDermott said. “This is the NFL and there are a million people outside the gate who want our jobs. I really appreciate the way he has approached it since he has come back.”
  2. If you support the Bills, you essentially support the entire league and if the NFL goes out of business as you hope for then bye bye Bills. Your stance is rather disjointed. Most people didn't give a hoot about kneeling and just to remind you some Bills' players knelt too. In the grand scheme of things no one died over the protests that have all but disappeared.

  4. They won in week 17 last season in Miami with the same combo and also last week against the Jags of course. Forgot to mention that they beat the Raiders last season in week 8 in the White on White Throwbacks.

  6. No suspension for Shaq as it would have already happened. Doesn't hurt to look at DEs like Smith and Moore since injuries can pop up at any time.
  7. The State of the 2018 Rookie Quarterbacks After 12 weeks of the 2018 NFL season, all five first round rookie quarterbacks have started at least two games. It’s the first time the NFL has had five first round quarterbacks start even one game each in their rookie season. Though, there have only been two other years in which five or more quarterbacks were selected in the first round of the draft: 1999 (5) and 1983 (6). So, how are the young guns doing?
  8. McDermott's Wednesday Media Day Presser at 11:20 AM ET today followed by practice at 12:30 PM. After practice Josh Allen will meet with the media at the podium with other players being available for locker room interviews. We'll also hear from Gase on the other side along with Miami players such as Tannehill. Will post live Twitter and Facebook presser links as they become available: Buffalo Bills Video Live
  9. Sean McDermott is an NFL head coach largely because of the what he achieved from 2011-2016 as the defensive coordinator for the Carolina Panthers. In each of his last five seasons in Carolina, the Panthers boasted a top-1o overall defense in the NFL. In Super Bowl 50 against the Denver Broncos, McDermott’s defense only allowed one offensive touchdown in the contest despite Carolina losing 24-10. Given his success in Carolina that led to an NFL head coaching gig, it would only make sense for McDermott to build a football team full of the similar ingredients that got him to where he is. One of the staples in McDermott’s dominant Carolina defenses was the linebacking duo of Luke Keuchly and Thomas Davis who combined to form one of the league’s best pairings on the second level. When McDermott took over the Bills, nothing remotely close to those linebackers existed on the roster but that has since changed.
  10. LIVE: The Alliance of American Football Quarterback Draft - Alliance of American Football By Kareem Yasin and Dinn Mann It’s the kind of occasion that simulates a quarterback’s adrenaline rush during a game-winning drive. The Alliance of American Football is conducting its inaugural “Protect or Pick” QB Draft at 8ET/5PT tonight on CBS Sports Network, live from Las Vegas. More than 50 aspiring pro quarterbacks progressed through the scouting process after tryouts, combines and an elite camp to reach this point. A couple handfuls of those players are attending the draft, each hoping to become faces of franchises when the spring league’s historic first season begins the weekend after the upcoming Super Bowl. The site of the QB Draft is Las Vegas’ HyperX Esports Arena, where attendees will wait for their chance to join host Hines Ward, head of player relations for The Alliance, on stage as the unique process unfolds. “The quarterback position is critical to a team’s success, so we knew the importance of making sure each Alliance team had a top-tier quarterback at the helm,” said Alliance co-founder Bill Polian, explaining how league coaches, front office executives and CEO/co-founder Charlie Ebersol collectively agreed on the format.
