  1. Top Storylines for the Bills-Jets in Week 14 It’s the homestretch of the 2018 season, the final four games. And for the Bills, three of the final four are at home. Three are against AFC East rivals. This week, it’s a rematch with the Jets, the team Buffalo handled 41-10 four weeks ago in New Jersey. Here are some of the top storylines as the Bills get ready to host the Jets this week: 1. CHAPTER ONE – ALLEN VS. DARNOLD 2. ALLEN’S FEET CARRYING THE BILLS 3. YOUNGER, FASTER WIDE RECEIVING CORPS READY TO STEP FORWARD? 4. ZAY ON THE WAY 5. BILLS PASS DEFENSE NUMBER 1 IN THE LEAGUE 6. DESPERATE SEARCH FOR THE RUN GAME 7. JETS FUTURE STILL UNCERTAIN
  2. The shoulder has popped out of socket in games and they knew he needed surgery in the offseason. Maybe they are getting a head start on things by ending his season.
  3. We'll find out at 11:20 this morning from McDermott if there's anything to this.
  4. Report: Broncos worked out 3 quarterbacks The Denver Broncos worked out over 10 players — including three quarterbacks — on Monday, according to KUSA-TV’s Mike Klis. Denver is working out players with “future contract” prospects. Players are eligible to sign future deals if they are not on an active roster at the end of the season. Future contract players sign in January and are added to the team’s offseason roster in March. The three quarterbacks that worked out for the Broncos this week were Nathan Peterman, Logan Woodside and Nic Shimonek, per Klis. Peterman (6-2, 225 pounds) was selected by the Buffalo Bills in the fifth round of the 2015 NFL draft out of Pittsburgh. He dressed for eight games over the last two seasons, earning four starts. Peterman has thrown three interceptions and 12 interceptions in his career.
  5. McDermott's Wednesday Media Day Presser at 11:20 AM ET today followed by practice at 12:30 PM. After practice Josh Allen will meet with the media at the podium with other players being available for locker room interviews. We'll also hear from Bowles on the other side along with NYJ players such as Darnold and/or McCown. Will post live Twitter and Facebook presser links as they become available: Buffalo Bills Video Live
  6. Scondary scoring from Okposo, Mittlestadt, Thompson. etc has mostly dried up. The upcoming easier schedule might help in that regard.
  7. The league has made full time hires in the past two offseasons. More accountability is a good thing.
  8. More from Fairburn: So why release him now? Well, there was little interest in Benjamin at the trading deadline because of his pedestrian statistics and $8.5 million cap hit. Some wonder if the Bills should have held on to Benjamin for the purpose of the compensatory pick formula, but that wasn’t a factor. For one, the Bills have $90 million in cap space and few free agents of their own in 2019, meaning they will out-gain their losses and not be players in the compensatory pick formula. Even if they were worried about that, the only way they would get a significant pick for Benjamin is if he signed a hefty contract elsewhere. Given the lack of interest in him at the deadline, a big payday doesn’t appear to be in Benjamin’s future. The Bills elected to release Benjamin now because he wasn’t in their long-term plans. The playoffs are out of the question, so the team plans to feature their younger receivers the rest of the way. Rather than continue to cut Benjamin’s snap counts or make him inactive, the Bills elected to spare him the embarrassment and attention that would come with that and give him a chance to sign with another team. The same goes for wide receiver Andre Holmes, whom the Bills also released Tuesday.
  9. Good question, but the Bills made plenty of their own mistakes with a failure to capitalize on opportunities to make plays. The game was certainly poorly offciated and that didn't help the cause.
  10. Good self description with your Schopp thread title.
  11. Would not be surprised to see Ellison terminated for being a repeat offender.
