  1. Been saying all along, would not be surprised if Trent Edwards is cut or traded. You cannot coach chickens**t. I do not care how talented Edwards is. The "talent" becomes meaningless if the guy refuses to use it, or chooses to use it in a limited capacity.
  2. Being 16th, is that due to their ability or due to opposing teams being able to run the ball consistently? The Bills defense gave up an average 4.7 yds a pop in the run game, "good" enough to rank in the bottom 5. The Bills D gave up 19 rushing TD's, again "good" enough to rank in the bottom 5 of the league. And what was the average points scored against the Bills D? 20.4 Seems to me, teams were able to run the ball fairly well, thus controlling the ball, the clock, and the game.
  3. Actually, that is what Spiller is. Gailey has already stated he planned on using Spiller on misdirection plays, splitting him out, as a WR, etc..., plus return duties. That pretty much covers everything Roscoe can do. IMHO, if Roscoe does make the team, it is as Spillers "back up".
  4. Based on those ranking, you would think we had a top 10 defense. But we did not. Great rankings. I'll bite. Why? Are you one of those people that automatically assume just because the Bills are moving to the 3-4 that the defense is "suddenly" going to get better? Like somehow the 3-4 is SOOOOOOOOOOOO much better than a 4-3?
  5. So? If Edwards feels that concussions are going to continue to be a problem for him, then he really needs to face that issue and weigh out the pros and cons of continuing to play football. And that goes for any player on any team. Only they can decide when enough is enough, and the risks outweigh the rewards. Again. I feel for the guy. Still does not change anything. Play to the best of my ability, because that is what I was getting paid to do. I understand that there are risks, but I am willing to accept those risks in order to play. In hindsight, it was a softball question. No calling anybody out, no throwing anybody under a bus. A pretty simple question. Terrell Owens was asked the same question after the same game. Owens got it. The question to Edwards was irrelevant. He only confirmed what many people had already speculated based on what they saw out of his play and out of the play of Fitzpatrick. Watching Fiztpatrick and Edwards play was like watching night and day pass by. At least Fitzpatrick was trying to win. If Edwards play proved anything, when the going gets tough, he's just there to collect a paycheck.
  6. Wood is stating his target is to be ready by the start of TC in July. True. I just hope his optimism and his youth serves him well, and he can come back before camp starts. Heck, I'll be happy if he can be ready by the start of the regular season.
  7. Darryl Talley disagrees. As DT said, "I was a player and a fan." Fixed it for you. Choose who you want, but you have 2 choices: Darryl Talley, former Pro Bowl LB that was a leader on the team who used to run along the sideline before the game started and challenged each and every Bills player to make an impact play; OR Trent Edwards, paycheck collector. And one more thing, Terrell Owens was asked the very same question after the very same game. How did Owens get "it", yet Edwards did not?
  8. Yes. He's a smart guy. Went to Stanford. Hey, guess what? It's a violent game. If he doesn't want scrambled eggs for brains by the time he is 40, maybe he should consider using that Standford education and choose another career. I don't know. How many is he willing to suffer? As you pointed out, Troy Aikman suffered numerous concussions. Did he fire out quotes like "I am not a fan"? Don't forget. Nobody forced Aikman to play, and nobody is forcing Edwards to play. And as long as he continues to play under contract to the Bills, I want a player that's more than just a "paycheck collector". I feel for him. But what does this have to do with Edwards or our OL? How about this? Suffer a severe concussion, career over. Now a player will never have to worry about suffering another while playing football. Brains or NFL career. Brains or NFL career. Choices, choices. Edwards has already made a bunch money pretending to be an NFL QB, why not get out now while he still has the mental capacity to use and enjoy it?
  9. The only position I am terrified of is LT. IIRC, Wood is on pace to be ready by the regular season (if not sooner). Both Wood and Levitre return to the OG (please, stop with the Levitre to LT nonsense. As Nix said, why weaken 2 positions), and Hangartner will benefit not having to deal with 2 rookies (not saying Pro Bowl, but he should be better than last year). If Green can produce on a level like Walker did when he has here, that will be an increase over what we had (combined) last year. It still will not be an elite line, but it should not be the bottom dweller like last year.
  10. Doubt it. Wouldn't surprise me to find out the NCAA looked the other way after receiving some "fines" from USC.
  11. Rookies, first year and second year players are allowed, based on "accrued" seasons. At this point, Hardy has accrued only 2 seasons.
  12. People who sugar coat every move the organization does, refuses to question any decision the organization makes, and chooses to ignore reality when reality proves the decision/move wrong. These people continued to believe ( and some may still do) Jauron was a good/great coach Getting rid of Jason Peters and replacing him with a slow footed adequate RT or an second year project player was a great idea Running the no huddle offense would "help" the Bills young inexperienced OL despite people like Jim Kelly and Peyton Manning saying you needed an experienced OL to run the No Huddle Believing that Trent Edwards was capable of calling his own plays because he would not be bogged down by the inept coaching staff, failing to realize of course, the only coaching Trent had at the NFL level was by the same inept coaching staff Believe picking a project player at the 11th overall spot is/was a good/great idea despite needing immediate help at various positions Believing a single player (TO) was the cure to all offensive woes Believing marketing played no part in acquiring TO (the marketing was just a "bonus") In general, cannot tolerate any "negative" post regarding the team (negative being a broad definition, but basically anything they disagree with) Do any of those sound like you? There it is again. The "negative" people need to be restricted.
  13. Looks like the pollyanna sunshine pumpers will finally have a place to go to when they get tired of all the negative neds on this board.
  14. You do NOT draft project players with a first round pick, especially in the top 15. Yes, the Mike Williams pick was bad, but when one looks at the circumstances surrounding both picks, the Williams pick can be justified. The Maybin pick was flat out stupid. Now we have to wait 2-3 years to find out.
  15. People on here B word about how, in the NFL, a division winner gets to host a playoff game vs a wild card team even though the wild card team has a better record. I'll take that over the possibility of a team that cannot even produce a winning record during the regular season having the chance to win the "championship".
  16. Rookies, first year and second year players can attend.
  17. The guy was considered a 1-2 year project coming out of college, so I think we have to wait until next year to see if he can become any kind of player. But right now, the Maybin pick is looking to be one of the worst (if not the worst) draft pick in the history of the franchise.
  18. Superbowl. Bills have shown they know how to win a championship (2 AFL). The Stanley Cup maybe harder to achieve, but it's hard to appreciate a "championship" when more than half the league can make the playoffs.
  19. Properly aged and prepared filet.
  20. I would love to see Walsh's "opinion" of Young when he came out of college. Did Walsh think Young was the next great QB straight out of college, or did he "discover" Young after a few years of playing in the USFL and NFL?
  21. Do you usually make it a habit replying to yourself?
  22. Cannibal Corpse - I will Kill You I find it to be very soothing and relaxing, especially after dealing with an "idiot" during the day.
  23. Ditto. Especially when the guy has yet to play down in the NFL.
