  1. Draft value is a lousy concept. A pro bowl player is a pro bowl player regardless of where they were drafted. Do you think 49er fans really give a crap in what round Montana was drafted? Ummm .... "... describing the round in which a player should be taken. That's the wrong starting point,..." "Getting a Pro Bowl punter in the 7th round is good draft value. Getting a Pro Bowl punter in the top ten picks of the draft is not." Either I missed the sarcasm, or you just contradicted yourself.
  2. IIRC, Stevie also mentioned he informs the opposing DB's before the game starts he will be blocking low, and to keep their head on a swivel.
  3. 67 And talk about stupid quizzes: Just in case you haven't figured it out yet
  4. Especially the bag-in-a-box stuff when eating microwave popcorn. Dee-lish.
  5. He has? Me thinks somebody did not pay attention this past season. Here's a sample when Chan has to deal with a patchwork line: (FYI: These are the first 3 plays of the Bills first possession vs Dallas) Buffalo Bills at 12:12 1-10-BUF 20 (12:12) R.Fitzpatrick sacked at BUF 10 for -10 yards (D.Ware). 2-20-BUF 10 (11:37) (Shotgun) R.Fitzpatrick pass short middle to D.Jones to BUF 16 for 6 yards (A.Elam). Pass complete on a slant. 3-14-BUF 16 (10:57) (Shotgun) R.Fitzpatrick pass incomplete short right [F.Walker]. Pass was thrown short after heavy pressure on a corner blitz. 4-14-BUF 16 (10:52) (Punt formation) B.Moorman punts 52 yards to DAL 32, Center-G.Sanborn. A.Owusu-Ansah to DAL 32 for no gain (R.Martin). There's a candidate for understatement of the off season. And the second part of sentence is the reason the problems on the Oline never get fully addressed. As soon as the Oline shows signs of progressing, they automatically think the entire line will automatically get better. You only spend developmental picks on positions that are set, not on positions of need. The Bills Oline is not set. Even Nix said we needed tackles.
  6. My apologies for responding so late... 24, married w/ children. Wife and kids will not be going with him. They will be staying here. Fishing, hiking, walking, etc ... Not a big drinker. Looking for ideas as time killers, as he does not how much down time he will have. As for days off, he plans on flying back here to spend time with the wife and kids, then fly back up to go work. (He will be working for an airline = discount tickets prices) He will be working the night shift, 4 days a week. Public trans and a pedal bike (at least for now, to see how it goes). No vehicle. Housing: Studio/Eff, one bedroom Apt. "Someplace where I do not have to worry about getting stabbed or shot." His intent is to work in Cleveland until he can get transferred either to Atlanta or Chattanooga. How long that will take is anybody's guess. No roommates. He made that absolutely clear. He doesn't want to have to worry about any potential BS. We discussed renting a room for a short while, but he wasn't interested in that either. I wish he would take his time. IMHO, he's pushing it. He wants everything settled by the time he starts work (which could be as early as mid April). Nope. My role is advice and support.
  7. I come to my fellow Bills fans looking for help. My son has accepted a job in Cleveland, OH, and is now looking for a place to live. He will be working at the airport, and will need access to public transportation. I would appreciate any ideas on where to look for apartments and possible things to do.
  8. Your hatred has made you blind. But since you need help, think along the lines of passive aggressive. Feel free to post a link showing where the trial judge agreed with the charge.
  9. The same Giant fan that didn't file assualt charges until a month after the incident, and only because the video went viral? The same Giant fan that dropped the charges? My link There are numrous reasons to hate the Jets, but Fireman Ed shoving a drunken Giant fan that provoked the incident in the first place isn't one of them.
  10. The 'Teboys' can't help themselves.
  11. Potential distraction to the team. And I am with the others: NO. Put the Jets back on. Either Tebow will pull the team together, or Tebow-mania will pull it apart at the seams. Early money is on the latter.
  12. Thank you. Glad to see somebody has been paying attention. FWIW, the driver of the vehicle admitted to buying the dope.
  13. Tough nuts. Ground up and in the freezer.
  14. Just make sure it has a cover sheet.
  15. I would assume so. The Bills just did a uni change (for the better), and I cannot see management willing to change again just for the sake of change. And quite frankly, I am afraid of any "Nike style" change to the uni. As it is, they need to ship those clown suits called college "combat" unis back to the circus where they stole them from.
  16. It will be interesting to watch Boise St the next couple of years. Peterson did a nice job with the kids that he had, but the last 2 years, the he was dealing with a veteran heavy team. Last year, they had 22 seniors, 18 of them were 5th year guys. The Broncos are going to have a down year next year, but if they bounce back the following year, Peterson's coaching stock will skyrocket. Been saying it for awhile now. Takes 2 to tango with regards to scheduling. What you see may not be what you think it is.
  17. Anybody know the area code for Phoenix, NY? Felicia Holland just posted her phone number on one of the threads.
  18. The fact that Donald Jones and Roscoe Parrish are considered 2 of our top 4 WR is scary enough.
  19. I took another look at the picture of the school. Is it me, or does that thing look like a prison?
  20. Jesus H. Christ. We are less than a week from the SB, and people already are complaining nothing's happening. I may have to stay away from TSW when FA hits. I got a feeling the roller coaster is going to be at full throttle.
  21. I've been in that Wal-Mart. Very rural area, about 2 miles from I-20, and about 10-15 miles from the Alabama border. Very smart and brave girl.
  22. Always the quiet ones ... They sit there and lurk and then ... WHAMMO! They come up with some concept/theory that makes you sit back, and say "Damn, why didn't I think of that."
  23. IIRC, there is some data that does support the theory certain inmates get harassed more than others. Among those are pedophiles, snitches, and ex-law enforcement. That is also dependent on the prison itself. Does that mean a pedophile has a higher chance of being killed in prison? Not really. The overall factor of new inmate survival depends on how fast they acclimate to prison life, and whether or not they hook up with a group or gang (strength in numbers). However, the less desirable an inmate is to the gangs, the more likely he will be left to defend for himself. As a pedo, he most likely survives. As pedo AND a snitch? He won't be making friends anytime soon in prison. I wasn't suggesting for him to be killed. That's too easy. I would rather see him spend the rest of his miserable life in prison being raped, harassed, and tortured.
  24. Hang him? Nah. Just throw his azz into the general population, and let the inmates know what he did. Then spread the rumor he snitched before and is willing to snitch on anyone about anything so he can get special confinement. One other thing, when the screaming starts, don't look back.
