  1. That Molson Beer Fridge that won't open unless you're Canadian.
  2. Check out his facebook page: https://www.facebook.com/pages/Mr-Design-Junkie/208307940215 He doesn't limit himself to just the NFL or football for that matter. Up top, he has the phrase: "Creativity...one helluva drug!!!" In his case, more like meth.
  3. No, it will not. There are these things called a "salary cap" and the "collective bargaining agreement". The reality is, a 10 year vet that is earning vet minimum is still more expensive than a 7th round draft pick playing out his rookie contract.
  4. I think you need to clarify your question. I am not sure what you want the truth on. Do external transmission coolers exist? Yes. Do they work? Yes. (Manufacturers will sometimes add an OEM version when a vehicle gets equipped with a factory towing package. Depends on the vehicle). Are there universal ones? Yes. I am a bit puzzled by his reason for recommending one though. He clearly stated the radiator caused the overheating, but why? Is it too small? Older, partially plugged?
  5. To clarify, PTC and Tyrone are in Fayette County, not Fulton, and are situated along the Fayette - Coweta county line.
  6. The Varsity blows. I would rather eat the chili cheese pups from Krystal. Brandi's World Famous Hot Dogs are much better, and consistently ranks near the top as Atlanta's best hot dog. For those transplants looking for a little taste of Buffalo, NY, Barkers Red Hots serves up charcoal grilled Sahlen's.
  7. AC/DC? Just say no. I love AC/DC (favorite group in fact), but you go to an AC/DC concert to watch Angus play live. If the requirements for a halftime show are: International appeal Young listeners Prerecorded music Then LMFAO or the chubby Korean guy (Psy?) would have been better choices. Or let's go with people who know are all about playing prerecorded music "live": Mophead (Skrillex) or Deadmau5 IMHO, I would like to see Rodrigo Y Gabriela play. But it will never happen. Not flashy enough.
  8. When it comes to the NCAA, do not assume anything. IF ... EJ did give JW that gear, it would be a violation of NCAA rules. Taken from the Boise State donor guide: So what is a potential extra benefit violation? Looks like a violation to me. A better question to ask: Will the NCAA follow up and prosecute such a minor violation? Edit: I am not advocating they do follow up. Just pointing out good old fashioned NCAA "logic".
  9. Must be a mirage. According to many on here, Tom Brady was past his prime, he didn't have Welker anymore, etc ...
  10. Some more info: Lynch DUI Summary: Blew a .08 when he got pulled over Blood test showed a .10 Defense tried to suppress evidence and have the case dismissed. Denied. Trial likely to happen after SB Could face NFL suspension regardless of trial outcome
  11. That's a pretty poor comparison. Farming is a 7 days a week / 52 weeks a year gig. Nature does not take time off. Legislators, those on the state and local levels especially, only work 5 days a week, and in many instances, for only part of the year. Here in GA, the General Assembly session runs from January to approximately April. In all, they are only allowed to meet for 40 days. Due to their limited work sessions, their salary is only $17k/year. However, on a per day basis: $425 /day plus their per diem of $173 /day = approx. $600 /day. Now who makes more money?
  12. That's it. The Bills are going to double down and split the homes games 50/50. In order to get Canadian fans more involved and drive up attendance, all home games against division rivals will be played in Toronto. Toronto will also get to pick one other marquee match up.
  13. So true. They were losing play makers faster than they can develop them. Defensively, this was a down year, and I would rate it just above Saban's 2007 team. Prior to the season started, it was established if the Tide were going to do a 3 peat, it would have to do it with the offense doing the heavy lifting. That was a tall order given the O-line had 3 new faces on it. The defense was suspect (due to the attrition of the past couple of years) with the secondary being the weakest position. Depth was a major concern, and it showed why with the past couple of games. If McCarron is there in rounds 3-4, I would snap him up in heartbeat. Sit him on the bench for a year or two, let him learn and adjust to the pro game, and then see what you got.
  14. That justifies it? And you just admitted JF was taunting them. Fake signature anyone? It was not just "pointing to the scoreboard". You already admitted JF was taunting Rice ("mimicing his signs"). On the play in question, JF and a Rice player got into a verbal exchange after the play. JF turned and started to walk away (the smart thing to do). He should have kept walking. But he could not let it go. He turned back around and started up again. That's what caused the flag. He just had to have the last word. Once he turned back around, his actions were irrelevant. All that tells me is the other team can get into his head. And his coach said it was stupid. Who do you think carries more weight? As for ESPN, Brian Urlacher, an ESPN analyst, essentially called JF a "punk" after that game.
  15. As Yolo pointed out: Yes he has. He was slapped with an unsportsmanlike conduct penalty and benched for his antics just this year. Johnny Football has no room to B word about how players behave on the field.
  16. Name a QB that played with Calvin Johnson at GA Tech. Where are they now? No, McCrystal and others (like myself) have noticed that once Mike Evans is taken out of the equation, Johnny Football is not nearly as good as others portray him to be. QB's are supposed to elevate the play of their teammates, not the other way around. JM bitching out another teammate regarding behavior is laughable, and JM has no room to talk.
  17. Are you sure? Maybe at the time he said it, it was 100% true. All we see is the end result. We have no idea what was happening at the time the statement was made and what happened afterwards.
  18. Oh God no. And the off season hasn't even started yet.
  19. No. Hell No. NO NO NO NO NO NO I never understand the thought process of creating a problem to fix a problem. The problem is LG. Don't create a LT problem to fix a LG problem. Fix the LG problem. I don't care if Mayock brought up the subject.
  20. Between the QB or the WR, I would take the WR. Evans was a beast this year.
  21. What the hell are they smoking out there in Austin? Did you see the list of coaches being named the media thinks UT should go after? http://www.dallasnews.com/sports/college-sports/headlines/20131216-who-s-in-the-running-who-s-out-the-master-list-of-the-candidates-in-the-texas-longhorns-coaching-search.ece Due note, this was published on Dec 16, 2013. By that time, Saban had already said signed his extension and said NO. The paper has updated the list since then, but the names being thrown out there make you want to go WTF. The list: First Call Saban - updated, not happening. A-List Urban Meyer, Ohio State (possible, don't think it's very probable) Mike Tomlin, Steelers - updated, "a source close to Tomlin said the coach's inclusion on the list was 'absurd.'" John Harbaugh, Ravens - Jim Harbaugh, 49ers - updated, when asked about the Texas position during a press conference: "Are you trying to be funny?" Art Briles, Baylor - Just signed a 10 yr extension (possible, extension was signed before Texas job opened up) Gus Malzahn, Auburn - updated, says he's a good fit at Auburn, and just signed an extension (personally, I would not rule him out. If he wins the NC, he's being severely under paid at $3M+ a year. Despite what Aubbie's think, Auburn does not have the resources to get into a bidding war with Texas.) David Shaw, Stanford - updated, says he's staying at Stanford (Personally, I think this guy's next move will be to the NFL) Jimbo Fisher, FSU - Signed an extension in December (long shot. IMHO, IF he moves, it will be to the NFL) Chip Kelly, Eagles - updated, "I haven’t spoken to anybody, nor will I speak to anybody," (Chip still has time left on his 18 month "show cause" penalty) Les Miles, LSU - Kevin Sumlin, Texas A&M - (it will be interesting to see how Sumlin and the Aggies are AFTER Johnny Football leaves) Pete Carroll, Seahakws - Mike McCarthy, Packers - B-List Charlie Strong, Louisville - Jon Gruden, NFL Analyst - (a longer shot than Jimbo Fisher. Don't see it happening) James Franklin, Vanderbilt - Mike Gundy, Okie State - Kirby Smart, Bama DC - (media might be interested in him, I don't think UT is though) Dabo Sweeny, Clemson - Mark Dantanio, Mich State - (texas native) Jim Mora, UCLA - (turned down Washington Job for an extension) IMO, out of all those people, I think Texas needs to take a close look at: Dantanio, Strong, Sweeny, Gundy, Franklin, Briles and Malzahn
  22. I have to disagree with 2 points. 1. The USFL was not "arena league like", not even close. The NFL today has a much better chance of being compared to the arena league. Yes, Kelly ran the Run 'N Shoot, but the Gamblers were the only team running it, even in the USFL. The most "radical" differences between the leagues at that point in time were things like 2 point conversions and instant replay. 2. The talent level was diluted. That's a bit of misnomer. Yes, I get the USFL took talent away from the NFL. But look at today's NFL compared to the NFL of the late 80's. There are 4 more teams. Today's NFL teams have to deal with a salary cap and free agency, making it almost impossible to acquire and retain superior talent across all positions. It also destroys depth. As for EJ, IMHO, it's little early trying to make any judgements about the guy, good or bad. I do not get the rationale in the rush to judgement of a player that has yet to finish out his first year yet. Let him play the year out, then assess.
  23. "Change" (like "youth") does not always equate to "better". Example: The Bills have not reached the playoffs since 1999 nor have they had a winning season since 2004. Coincidentally, both 1999 team and the 2004 had were loaded with veterans (a/k/a "old" players). Since 1999, the Bills have had the following HCs: Wade Phillips, Gregg Williams, Mike Mularkey, Dick Jauron, Chan Gailey, and now Doug Marrone Since 1999, the Bills have had the following GMs: Butler, Donahue, Levy (with heavy input from Jauron), "The Collective" (with Brandon given the 'title'), Nix and now Whaley. Since 1999, the Bills defensively have run the 4-3, 3-4, Tampa 2, and the hybrid Since 1999, the Bills offensively have run Greggo's attempt at the West Coast, Mularkey's gimmick offense, the Bills version of St Louis "Fastest Show on Turf", Jauron's attempt to revive the No Huddle, Chan's Pistol/Spread, and now Marrone's Hurry Up No Huddle. Since 1999, the other constant besides losing has been "change". During Jauron's tenure, all I kept hearing was how "young" the Bills were, and how much better they were. Now under Marrone, you want to guess what the central excuse theme is for this years team failure? "Rookies, youth" But "they will learn from their mistakes", "this team just feels different" Yes, I am an "old" person. Age has given me what youth cannot: experience and wisdom. The 2013 Bills feature a rookie HC, a rookie OC, a rookie QB and 2 rookie WRs. Many fans expect these people to be the foundation the franchise builds upon. Here is where experience and wisdom kicks in: not gonna happen. Experience tells me 2-3 will "make it" (to some degree), and the other 2 will fail. As Bills fans, we better hope EJ is not one of the failures. Otherwise, in about 2 more years, the Bills will once again "change" and we fans will have to endure another wave of "youth" infusion.
