  1. Just like them. Except without the fans.
  2. It would be interesting to hear your opinion regarding when a team approaches a player to restructure their contract.

  4. Off the top of my head: No unemployment (obviously). She doesn't qualify for TANF (she has no kids under 18). Food stamps are iffy. A lot of variables in play here. If she does qualify, she may only qualify for 3 months anyways. No healthcare (Georgia did not expand Medicaid). She may qualify for public/section 8 housing, but I am not familiar with that.
  5. She's from Atlanta, and she quit her job. I doubt she gets anything.
  6. The 1960s would like to have a word with you. IMO, the USFL would have been a successful venture, if the owners had followed the original blueprint. They didn't. The owners destroyed that league, because they did not want to "wait" to be able to play with the big boys.
  7. Tonya Goldsberry, 46, of Little Rock was charged with loitering for prostitution, public sexual indecency, indecent exposure and possessing instruments of a crime. Like what? Breasts and Vagina? (It is Arkansas after all.)

  9. Just change the colors: Bonus! The fans who want a standing Buffalo get their wish.
  10. Then I guess the standing Bison was nothing more than a money grab since it was not the original Bills logo. Suit in front office in 1961: Hey, I got an idea ...
  11. Charging. The standing logo looks like a piece of generic clip art. Personally, I would prefer the charging Buffalo without the "streak."
  12. Yeah, I don't know if I want the NFL looking at a second rate league like the NHL for ideas. This must be a hockey thing, because this isn't even an issue in the NFL. Furthermore, if you are concerned this behavior could become prevalent, then you might to rethink the whole penalty box scenario. Are you trying to protect the players, or come up with new ways to generate more scoring opportunities? If he NFL wants to change the rule regarding personal fouls, I think the NFL needs to look at the college ranks for ideas. The Targeting rule in college is automatically review-able. Why not make Personal fouls review-able in the NFL? Have a replay official give the play a look. If the foul was questionable/unintentional (Jerry Hughes slapping a teammates helmet), the team still gets assessed 15 yards, but the player is allowed back in the game. If it looks like the foul was flagrant/intentional (Talibs facemask), then the replay official can eject the player.
  13. And you would know this how? Lets just gloss over the reality that Rex Ryan has been on it once before, and has no interest in doing it again. Lets focus on two NFL rules regarding this show. 1. If no team volunteers for the show, the NFL will choose one. Kind of an odd rule, don't you think? If teams have nothing to lose, why are they not lining up to appear on it? 2. Teams with first year head coaches are not allowed to appear. Why not? Why do they get a pass? Yet, somehow, people do not grasp in order to get that access, the coaching staff and/or organization might find the process distracting.
  14. Spread offenses in the NFL are not new. Option offenses in the NFL are not new. No huddles offense in the NFL are not new. Mobile QB's in the NFL are not new. There is nothing new in the "college spread" offense that is not already being used or incorporated to some extent in the NFL. Nothing. Rules will have a far bigger impact in determining if the NFL becomes a bigger, full size version of arena football.
  15. Apparently not. "City officials say the trestle can’t grow because of the train tracks above and utility lines below."
  16. Alabama = Savages! https://youtu.be/tfMdDIxe368
  17. This. There have been many interviews where he has alluded or implied that very thing. The biggest example was Drew Brees. Saban wanted Brees for the QB position while at Miami. He was denied by the Dolphins medical staff. (think about that for minute. Brady and Brees in the AFC East for the past 10 years )
  18. At the professional level, I can see that being the case. An expectation starts to set in. In the pros, great players stick around, and as long as the team can afford them, the great player is there for many years. So the team can remain great for years. In college, the great player leaves after 2-3 years. In some cases, they only started 1 year, because they sat on the bench behind an upper classman for 1-2 years. Throw in the fact that a coach at the college level is dealing with a completely different roster by their 5th year, each year is a different team. Based on that, each championship feels different. In the 3 NC that Saban has acquired at Alabama, my favorite without a doubt was the one vs LSU. The other 2 do not even come close.
  19. http://www.chatsports.com/cleveland-browns/a/exclusive-browns-preparing-offer-urban-meyer-biggest-coaching-contract-nfl-history-24607 Some excerpts: "Following numerous conversations exclusive to Chat Sports over the last month with several of our most trusted sources, we have learned that the Cleveland Browns have plans to fire head coach Mike Pettine and offer Ohio State football coach Urban Meyer the largest coaching contract in NFL history. The contract would also likely include an option for a small equity ownership in the Browns' organization. The sources are close to Browns ownership and have ties to several Big Ten athletic departments." "Our sources tell us that Browns owner Jimmy Haslam is leading the pursuit of Meyer, and that he is prepared to give Meyer full front-office control, including the future of GM Ray Farmer." Yea, I'm not buying it. Even if its true, Urban would be an idiot to walk into that dumpster fire.
