  1. The first of an entire lifetime of non Brady Super Bowls!
  2. I still think Eagles win by 10+ Eagles strike me as the tough gritty team
  3. He grew up a Steelers fan though, which negates the WNY advantage.
  4. Rex was a great DC and Denver is loaded on D. He's also a very smart guy. I think he was burned out when he came to the Bills and it showed.
  5. that's not a crazy deal if it's a 7 year contract Edmunds is getting paid by someone. If we let him go then there's no chance we'll see any major investment in the offense in the draft.
  6. I believe that. Emmitt was/is a total pro, as is Aikman. Growing up and watching those Dallas/Bills Super Bowls I hated Aikman and the Cowboys, but I have to give Troy his props in that he puts a lot of work into being as good as he can at broadcasting and has gotten a lot better over the years. I find that he brings up a lot of great points that other broadcasters seem to either miss or gloss over. Jimmy Johnson is also seemingly a pretty good guy. He's what he seems to be: the ole ball coach. People forget that Ralph made a real push to hire him here years after JJ retired.
  7. This is my semi-often reminder that if Andy Reid coaches the Chiefs for another 6 seasons he's virtually guaranteed to be in the top 3 all-time in HC wins, along with Shula and Belichick. Shula, Belichick, Reid, in some order. You don't get your name in that stratosphere unless you're one of the greatest of all-time. Unrealistic you say? Reid is 64 now. Belichick had Brady for 20 years. Reid had McNabb and Alex Smith before finally getting Mahomes. Andy is not retiring until he is 100%, slam dunk sure that he is done coaching. One more so-so year in NE and Belichick could be out. At age 70, is he going to start over somewhere else? If not, Reid will catch him in all-time wins most likely.
  8. 2021 for me, although 2020 was fun too. It's a lot more fun being the up and coming, scrappy underdogs. 2022 was all "Bills are Super Bowl favorite!" all season which is no where near as fun. the season feels like something to get through with minimal injuries, like an extended preseason. That's kind of a bummer. 13 seconds sucked, but that playoff loss felt so much different because it seemed like this team was destined to go all the way.
  9. Bengals should draft him instead. He reminds me of a mini Burrow.
  10. I just want to see epic drama and a seesaw battle with lots of big plays. Basically, the opposite of the Rams/Patriots SB from a few years ago where the score was 3-3 going into the 4th quarter.
  11. what about 1 salary cap exemption that could be used on an annual basis? Sort of like a franchise tag in mechanics. This could change year to year, and help teams clear out terrible contracts. For example, Packers want to trade Rodgers but have a crazy cap charge. Use the exemption and do it. Pay that $$ to players on your team. Instead of just being for QBS, a team like SF could sign an Aaron Donald type player to huge $$ and add him to their stacked roster, with (insert your name here) at QB. It could encourage some different kinds of roster building. I still don't love it, but I've seen it come up in a few places and if it ever happened it would be cool to see it applicable to any player on an annual basis.
  12. This game would be a lot more fun with a full strength KC team. Instead, basically every one of their top pass catchers will be hobbling around like their star QB with knee, back, leg, or other injuries that even if they play they will be 50% at best.
  13. They shared a similar hug post game in Buffalo BTW (in the second game). Tua is a great guy, he just plays for the wrong team for Bills fans to like him. We forget sometimes that many of these guys are buddies and the NFL is a high stakes and big money version of competing with your friends and trying to beat them.
  14. That roster is pretty stacked, although yeah not everything is perfect. I'm just looking at a roster stacked with talent that makes plays from top to bottom with a skinnier version of Zack Taylor and his "nobody respects us" bit at HC.
  15. I'm fine with Frazier, but it's choice #3 for me: 1. McDermott finds some up and coming LB or DB coach, names him "DC" but assumes more control of defense, including play calling. Like Reid in KC but on defense. 2. Steve Wilks comes in as DC and takes ownership of it 3. Frazier comes back
  16. Roseman hit on his lottery tickets, Beane has been so-so in that dept. outside of Josh Allen. That's a bit like saying "yeah the mansion is nice but the yard is so-so" but Roseman has the mansion and the yard. Imagine how stacked the Bills DL would be if Epenesa, Basham, Oliver, and Groot were all legit threats in the pass rush and Elam was a contender for DROY.
  17. When they won it was ALL BRADY. When they lost it was a team game. Oh, and the Belichick deserves no credit. Even though he has 8 SB rings and Brady will always have fewer.
  18. Chiefs are hobbled by injuries, just like the Tampa Super Bowl where Mahomes had a foot/ankle injury and could barely walk and was behind practice squad OL. This time, Mahomes has a busted ankle and can barely move and every one of their WR is seriously injured. Eagles will win in a blowout. 35-14
  19. I spoke to 3 different football fans today, and all would rather have Allen than Burrow. To me the question is McDermott. He needs to get this team over the hump. I think he will, but he's been out coached in the playoffs twice in a row now.
  20. Tom is done. I think he regretted coming back this season, and knows that it's only going to get harder.
  21. Yeah, I bet he was told that it was too hard for the viewer to understand or something like that, even though it was what made everyone enjoy his work
  22. That looks like a picture from 1985... As for Mixon, I have to think it's probably much ado about nothing. For one, I think we've all had a situation where someone has accidently accused us of pointing a gun into someone's face and threatening them, and in the end it's all just a misunderstanding. Secondly, Mixon is the LAST person who would ever harm (or threaten to harm) a woman. This just doesn't add up....
  23. I wonder if you'll have to fill out an application and prove your "eligibility" to pay hundreds of dollars for this service? OR Will you just be able to pay whatever price they set and get it, no questions asked? DirectTV is the dumbest company I've ever done business with, so I'm glad to see the ticket elsewhere. Luckily we're in WNY so RedZone plus the Bills games is all we need, but when we were out of state it was a pain to see Bills games.
  24. part of me wonders if all the praise he got early encouraged him to try to do more, as in say more, and the result is a bit too much sometimes Romo reminds me of that one person you watch a game with that can't stop talking when the moment is huge.. You're having your guts ripped out as a fan and you're also getting chapter and verse in excruciating detail at the same time
