You typically need 2 miracles to qualify for sainthood, along with some other stuff. I think Josh has 3. Miracle #1: The 13 seconds game, where he led the Bills to TD drive after TD drive at the end of the game. He was an instrument of God that night I think we can say. Sadly, God didn't care about defense. To be fair, it was his day off. Miracle #2: Helping Gabe Davis turn into an uncoverable TD machine in the 13 second game. Feels a bit like double-dipping, but given what we've seen since that was definitely a miracle. Miracle #3: Dramatically raising his completion %. They said it couldn't be done, you're either an accurate passer or you're not. He did it, and is one of the few to ever do it to that degree. This one feels a little bit like filler, but hey. The man's up for sainthood and we need all we can get! He's got the good works (community involvement, civic pride he has inspired). The more I think about this the more it's making sense...

Week 8, Bucs v. Bills - Predict the Score
TheFunPolice replied to Freddie's Dead's topic in The Stadium Wall
Bills 23 Bucs 19 It'll be a stressful ending but this time the defense gets an INT with under 1:00 to go as the Bucs are driving -
Falcons cut Eli Ankou: OFFICIAL Signed to Bills PS
TheFunPolice replied to BuffaloBillyG's topic in The Stadium Wall
have a limo waiting for him as he walks out of the Falcons facility, sign him on the way to the airport and fly him here in the Pegula jet. -
he dropped a couple of balls, which happens However, he has a history here of making plays, which is why he earned the contract. The bigger issue is that he is yet another player that seems to disappear for weeks at a time in this offensive scheme.

Bears and Packers are awful so it's definitely possible
-
Cousins was great and Vikings played a great game to get back into the playoff mix
-
49ers ain't that tough. Eagles are tough. 49ers whip on bad teams but when you punch them back they fold. Punch the Eagles they respond by pummeling you.
-
Vikings right back in the NFC playoff picture
-
Eagles are what the 49ers wish they were.
-
49ers season going up in flames. Eagles only getting stronger. NFC will be interesting
-
Horrible throw there
-
55 yard FG are what 45 yards used to be. Totally routine. I remember when anything over 50 seemed like a crazy risk.
-
Cousins is underrated IMO He always puts up numbers. Defense usually lets him down. But that's not DPI?
-
Hate to see a team waste a total BS DPI in the end zone. Refs can only do so much. Any incomplete in the end zone is a 30% chance of DPI
-
49ers don't look so tough lately

Aside from Diggs, Dorsey is not getting the most out of the offensive players. Cook looks like a good RB who is a real weapon Kincaid is finally starting to get more involved, but he should be able to do more than catch passes in the flat and get gang tackled for a 4 yard gain. Gabe Davis is a decent WR who we should be getting more out of. Gabe has made many plays in the past. He's better than 1 memorable play per game. We're FINALLY seeing Harty and Sherfield being used a little bit. It's 7 games in. Why weren't these free agent signings being utilized right away? That's inexcusable. Knox is practically invisible, but we have seen him make plays before, which is why he has that contract. What happened to him? I get he has had some drops, but that has been the case his whole career. The guy can make plays, and has, or you wouldn't have re-signed him. The OL is fine as NFL OL go. I would say they are at least an average NFL OL, and play above average here and there. You can work with that. Then there's the QB. No running, no real deep shots. What exactly is the plan? This team needs an experienced coach as the OC. Everyone can be buddies while they celebrate a SB win.

To me, it now seems clear that something is off with him. At first, I would dismiss it as me projecting my own frustrations as a fan of the team, but something is definitely different, and not in a good way. It could also be that it's less about Allen personally and more something larger going on with the team behind the scenes. Maybe the issues with Diggs are another hint at that, who knows. A couple of recent examples: 1. The biggest indicator of a real issue for me: The "same **** different day" comment after the week 1 loss to the Jets this year. To me, that comment revealed something deeper going on, since it was week 1 and that phrase came to his mind in that moment. It was 1 game, so why "same ****" ? If he was QB of the Chargers I would get that, but he and the team have had a lot of success lately. Can you imagine Mahomes saying that after the Week 1 loss at home to the Lions? That's my point. Other than Mahomes and Burrow, Allen has done a lot of winning, so what's the reason for a comment like that? An optimistic person would say no Josh, that was different **** than we're used to, not the same. 2. After the Giants game Allen seemed miserable and borderline rude to Melissa Stark who does the SNF "talk with the winners" thing at the end of the game. The way he said "let's go home" at the end of the interview was really strange. Dude, you just won the damn game! Granted, it was ugly but good lord. In fact, I think that's what I see the most with Allen this season. He just looks, sounds, and seems miserable. He's been much more combative with interviewers, calling out the "armchair critics" and just generally not being the smiling, happy go lucky ball of energy that he was in previous seasons. I do wonder if McDermott is wearing on these guys. Every time the Bills have a tough game Florio puts that "Jenga tower" analogy out there, and even though I have nothing but disdain for him generally that does worry me a bit. Like he knows something and is being cute about it. He did it AGAIN today. It's hard to dismiss when it actually feels like a good analogy.

Officiating really sucks in the NFL
TheFunPolice replied to Ethan in Cleveland's topic in The Stadium Wall
If you're a Colts fan this morning is all about how you were straight up robbed by the refs yesterday. 3 turnovers taken away. they won the game twice at the end only to have the refs step in. Eventually the other team will score when they get chance after chance, then the ball put at the 1 just for good measure. Late in the game, either the call gets made and then it's basically a fait accompli because there will be another and another call on the defense if needed or it just never happens but could. It's like you get storyline A or B. In A the defense gets the illegal contact to extend a drive or take away a turnover. Then a few plays later is defensive holding or hands to the face. Then the clincher: PI in the endzone. At that point it's up to the offense to score though. -
Sounded good at the time...
