Tonight's "we scored too quickly" comment from McD fits my theory. He wants a slow, ball control offense. Of course he wants points. Every boring coach wants points. Coaches like McD want a high school offense that runs simple draw plays all day and scores 63 points doing it, which doesn't happen in the NFL. -
I suppose that's true He did seem to say what he honestly felt: It's basically the players' fault.

Is Elam really that bad? Are the best DL getting the most time? The way this coaching staff seems to be crumbling makes me question those decisions.

McDermott's calling card is attention to detail and discipline. Without that what does he give you? He's now throwing players under the bus post game. Not coaching but execution.

What does McDermott bring to the table at this point? The team is an undisciplined mess. He chokes in the big moments. We can find a DC. For all we know he's not getting 100% out of the 71 1st round picks on defense. I'm literally shocked because I thought there was just no way we lose tonight.
