I've said it many times but I hate the Ravens.

I guess but I still see it as between the team and player. If the player can basically get the team to make him a UFA because of past service then it is what it is. If he clears waivers then anyone including us can sign him.

Well ok then! All of our investments in draft picks and money in the DL and they're invisible unless you have an excel spreadsheet is my point. This has been the case year after year. It's not new.

Advanced stats and rich data show he's really good some say... Ya really gotta dig into the numbers, then you'll see! I'm old fashioned. I want my highly paid DL players to be obvious to dummies like me watching the game. Like Houstons DL were while they were hammering our QB all game.

I was wondering how they administer the play clock on the field? Does the ref behind the QB literally count down out loud? If not, how does the offense have any idea when it runs out? Or is it"we'll administer it on the field" meaning just don't worry about it unless it's egregious?

I'm hink a lot of current top QBs will play past 40. Mostly because they can't do this later. Other ventures will always be there. Plus the money only gets crazier. Health, fitness, rules of the game, better treatments, all will lead to most guys playing a lot longer.

I don't want to see Baltimore in the Super Bowl. I'd rather see KC. Ravens are a garbage team. So hopefully Burrow and Chase light them up on Thanksgiving.

Josh Allen isn't going anywhere. Pegula loves Daboll. Josh lives Daboll. And here's the thing: McDermott is the type of guy who could put bygones aside for the good of everyone and the goal of winning it all. He has also grown as a coach since the first time around. I would say it's definitely possible if Daboll doesn't get a HC gig this off-season. Way more likely than many think. The one to say no might actually be Daboll, not McDermott

It's very possible that Beane is let go, McDermott asks Daboll to come back and take over the offense and McDermott reworks the D. The team would go get a Waddle or someone similar in the off-season and also draft a WR and maybe even sign a #2 type guy in free agency. The topic in national sports media is Allen needs weapons and everyone is dunking on Beane especially for his bullying of the WGR guys last summer for daring to question his WR room. He's going to take the fall. Nobody is really blaming McDermott as much. I think agents and "camps" are feeding info out there to create a narrative. McDermott is a rock solid human being (not that Beane isn't) that is easy to rally behind. I also have heard from a few places that he actually does want a more open attacking offense and us frustrated with what they have at WR. Where there's smoke there's fire. Beane also seems like a good guy and all, but he has unfortunately failed the team far moreso than McDermott has.

Was it McDermott or _________ (next OC to be under fire by the end of 2027) Of the above, it was McDermott all the times except "Dabs" which is why Daboll was going to be gone with or without a HC gig.

I would fire the head coach. Many reasons. 1. He is a defensive head coach, yet his defenses are never great, especially in big moments. All that investment in DL over the years and they consistently get no pressure. This isn't "golly, injuries got us" this is a 9 year problem. The Bills defense should look like the Houston defense: everyone locked down, constant pressure from all over, physical, nasty. We have just not seen that much, if at all, over the years. So what's the point of having a HC who sees the game through a defensive point of view? 2. Once Brady is fired (an inevitability at this point) he will be hiring his 5th OC. All but Daboll were fired, and that is with Josh Allen as the QB. That should be a pipeline to a HC job, not to being fired because the offense is weak. Why is the offense bad? Because the HC sets the tone for what he wants: low event football. We even worked the clock during our last drive last night. He didn't like Daboll because Daboll was all about high event football. So what if we turn it over twice? We're till going to score 35-40, so it won't matter. This is the opposite of what McDermott prefers. Yes, he is ok with it when it's "needed" (Tampa Bay game last week) but it isn't a way he wants to play. 3. He has had 7 complete seasons of Allen, and this is #8. This team does not look like its going anywhere. So 8 seasons of an all time great QB, with nothing to show for it. Not even a SB berth, let alone win. Meanwhile I've seen Hurts play in 2, winning one vs KC in a blowout. 4. Here's the kicker: at this point, every single season feels and looks the same: Decent start midseason slump constant defensive injuries (partly due to scheme, partly due to having 225 lb LBers and older guys) consistently having to bring back previous players during the season because new guys are either unable to learn the scheme or just aren't good enough "Allen looks miserable" stories Offensive struggles loss in the playoffs, usually to KC So, it stands to reason that having had 8 years of the McDermott Show why would anyone expect year 9, 10, or 11 to be the one where his team breaks through? Given almost a decade of evidence, it's almost assured that 2026 would be some version of whatever went before. Same with 2027. When is it enough? Giving McDermott the chance to hire a 5th OC (who will almost definitely be an on staff promotion) is literally insane. We've seen that too! Here's how it goes: Early on: This guy is great! What an upgrade! I hope we don't lose him to a HC job... Middle: This offense is too predictable... End stages: "Allen looks miserable"... the offense is one dimensional.. not enough weapons... Enough is enough, but as I type this I realize one terrible truth: There is ZERO and I mean ZERO chance McDermott is let go. Not this year, not next, and not the one after that. Likely the same with Beane, unless the other part owners make enough noise behind the scenes that McDermott feels the need to sperate himself from Beane and throw him under the bus (which Beane also deserves to go, don't get me wrong).

Get ready for the "Golly, you could do worse... I seem to remember the drought!" arguments. The fact that we're having those arguments shows that this build didn't get the job done. Giving McDermott another 2-3 years accomplishes nothing. They should fire Beane today but I get waiting until the season plays out. It would be pretty dumb to fire your GM then the team makes it to the Super Bowl. I get that. But the day our season ends assuming it's not a deep playoff run he needs to be let go. McDermott is the guy who sets the tone, wants a certain kind of offense (which is why he and Daboll didn't get along) and has fired coordinator after coordinator during his time here. The buck stops with him. Do we really expect yet another OC (who will almost certainly just be promoted from within) to be different in any kind of meaningful way? Imagine having an all-time great QB yet every one of his OCs gets fired. Not leaves for HC jobs. Fired. Because the offense cannot pass the ball with that QB .

Close to zero chance McDermott is fired. Maybe 50/50 that Beane goes though. The owner will want to be talked into the idea of keeping McDermott at least, so that might be the route. IF there is a change Daboll will be HC. Pegula loves him as does Josh.
