Bengals D isn't great but imo they basically gave up while Burrow was hurt until it became apparent that he was about to come back. Rumor is that Hendrickson is holding himself out even though he could play. That's inexcusable. There's major issues on the team. IMO Taylor is totally overrated and there should be a full house cleaning there in the off-season.

Maybe it's a side effect of being so good for so long. It feels like it doesn't truly matter until the playoffs. Of course that's not true or ideal but I could see it.

After watching the Bills Hallmark movie last night and the recent NE rise to prominence with all the fawning coverage I'm right back into the season. This has been a weird year for me. The games just haven't felt the same except for the opener. But now I'm rounding into form as a fan at just the right time. I thought you all would appreciate the update. Go Bills!

That certainly makes sense to me, and I think it must be true to some extent that McDermott orders the groceries and Beane goes shopping, to use Parcells analogy. In that case, McDermott could be unhappy with the execution of the plan/goal.

Everyone looks for every reason to hate Beane? That's odd. Usually people love a successful GM.

I'm becoming more and more of the mind that McDermott is a good enough coach that we can win, but the issue is Beane's roster management. Especially once you get into the "who would you hire as HC" discussions and guys like Stefanski or Flores are mentioned. No thanks. Beane's signing have been bad overall lately, especially at WR. Samuel is never on the field. Same with Palmer. Maybe they would be great. But history suggests not. He's hit here and there, as any GM will, but it needs to be better. This repeating pattern of late of bringing back previously released players mid season is a sign of desperation and that the roster moves didn't work. IMO, McDermott wouldn't mind a change at GM. I believe he could do a lot better with better players. He can coach up the D but it only goes so far when Shaq Lawson is about to start a game for you in 2025.

Keep McDermott but find a new GM I mean seriously... "He tried" doesn't cut it. Give McDermott a better roster to work with
