Eagles seem like they are miserable all the time. Such a weird team -
Miami beating Pittsburgh next week if the Bengals win vs. the Ravens and Burrow is going to reenter the chat.
-
If the Bengals bet the Ravens next week, it is actually not insane that they could still win that division. Here's the scenario: Bengals beat Ravens. Bengals then win out vs Browns, Cardinals and Dolphins. Steelers lose to Miami next week, then to the Lions, beat the Browns, then lose to the Ravens. Ravens lose to New England and Green Bay, then beat Pittsburgh This= Bengals win division. Now, that's a lot but none of it is particularly unlikely. Every season something nobody saw coming happens.

Here's a word of caution: those playoff % stats mean almost nothing, because none of what KC needs is that unlikely. I wouldn't bet on them making it, but stranger things have happened many times. I used the ESPN playoff machine and there's a few likely scenarios where they get in. Obviously, now they have to win out and hope LA collapses, which with both tackles out and Herbert with a broken hand isn't crazy. Plus they play them next week. 1 week from today they very well could be 1 game back with these schedules: KC: Titans Broncos Raiders LA: Texans Cowboys Broncos If LA loses tonight and KC beats them next week then LA will have 6 losses and KC 7. Texans and Cowboys have everything to play for still, so it'll be interesting. I can't see the Texans or Jaguars collapsing, and both have tiebreakers anyway. It's either LA or KC making it at this point.

Yeah, they are front runners for sure. They want to beat you up and run up the score (who doesn't)? But that's their style. When it's crunch time or that doesn't work they are a totally different team. Still, they have a very good shot at making the playoffs this season by winning their division. It'll come down to the wire, and maybe that week 18 matchup vs the Steelers will be a play in game, which would be awesome.

Everyone is a prisoner of the moment when there's an entire month of ball left. The Colts were a juggernaut now they won't win another game.

Game week thread - Bills at Patriots*
TheFunPolice replied to BillsFan619's topic in The Stadium Wall
Sorry, I don't buy the hype with NE. This week they get told "not yet" by the true contenders. Cute story though. -
Lamar relies on his electric physical skills to make plays, but by the end of the season he's always beat up and injured and not the same guy. It won't get better as he ages, either. Henry just looks done. Another guy who starts off great but takes a beating and by the time the biggest games come he is a shell of himself due to nagging injuries. All this said, the Ravens are nowhere near out of it. 1 game back with another to play vs Pittsburgh, and both teams have some potentially tough games coming up.
-
That was kind of my point in mentioning NE. Brady and Belichick won the SB in 2001, then missed the playoffs at 9-7 in 2002. I was relieved that it was a blip on the radar (it being their SB win) and meant they would just go away. I was incorrect in that assessment. Brady tore his ACL in like 2007 or 2008, but that year doesn't count. My point is they might be down now so we should enjoy it, but I wouldn't count them totally out.
-
Nope. That was years later.
-
Ravens and Steelers play again and Steelers have the Lions still. Plenty of ball left to play. That said, Lamar doesn't look right. I think he's playing injured.

Exactly. Chiefs are not going to be there because they're good but just missed They won't be there because they just aren't very good this year. -

Now they have to try to hype up Vikings/Cowboys Lol -
People saying "Brady never missed the playoffs" forgot 2002 after their first SB win
-
I was thinking the same but in a way we did. If they beat us we'd be out of the playoff picture right now with 5 losses. As of today I mean, but not eliminated. Because we beat them they had little margin for error. The game that really killed them was losing to Jax. That's what is great about the NFL: all the games are huge and could matter down the road.

This season we beat the Ravens, Bengals, and Chiefs so when we win it all we'll just beat a few extra teams -

This could be Reid's last season. He looks 90 years old and seems so frail. He's like 5-6 years younger than Belichick
