  1. I wouldn't say I'm rooting for Miami so much as against NE Since the Bills have been largely irrelevant in terms of truly contenting, I always ask 1 question: Is it bad for New England? If the answer is yes then I'm for it. Nothing the Bills could do this season would be as amazing as going into NE and giving then loss #6 if they lose this weekend. Make NE play all 17 games and lose out on the bye No rest and no easy path, although their path to the Super Bowl might actually be harder if they get the #1 seed since either KC or LA will like be the lowest seed remaining after wild card weekend instead of them getting the home Houston bye to the AFC title game My semi realistic dream scenario: NE plays Baltimore or Indy wild card weekend... If they get through it's LA then at KC as our last chance
  2. It's weird... Pats got dominated by Jax and Ten, lost to the Lions and Dolphins They only lose to so so teams
  3. If only the Bills could be the team to knock NE down to the 3rd or 4th seed... That's our Super Bowl
  4. Rams and Chiefs both feel off to me and IMO will both be 1 and done. Neither strike me as gritty or clutch. They both get up big and just ourscore you but when it's close they fold
  5. The NFL is a show about the Patriots and Brady. Every other team is there to serve as a foil and round out their story. NE has ruined football for me. I have never hated any sports ream even remotely as much. Of course our division is total garbage whereas other teams actually have real competition in the division. Man, if the Bills could hand those cheating scum a costly loss one of these years...
  6. Here's something to make you smile... IF Pittsburgh beats NE this week and the Texans win out, then NE loses the bye This goes a long way toward that, since Houston plays the Eagles soon. Further, IF Pittsburgh beats NE AND either the Jets or Bills beat NE AND Miami wins out then NE could miss the playoffs altogether or drop to the 6th seed.
  7. Norv Turner quit as OC in the middle of the year there a couple seasons ago Makes you wonder if Zimmer cannot get along with an OC
  8. True, but even still... Just shows how skewed stats have become now. That's why rings are all that matters. Favre and Manning are on the couch watching all their records get broken. As will Brady and Brees one day. But nobody can take the rings
  9. Who is your pick? I could see Houston being a dark horse AFC championship
  10. Marino was so good... Way ahead of his time That's like a 7000 yard season today given how much better that was than everyone else In retrospect it's too bad he never won a ring. Him and Kelly both (obviously)!
  11. I'm looking up these stats and it doesn't make sense! Those unstoppable Bills offenses and Montana's unstoppable 49ers offenses and not a single 4000 season between them... They seemingly scored at will but you look at the stats and they would barely be top 10 today Freaking Matt Stafford did it 7 years in a row and has a shot at making that 8 this year... So I've gotta give Namath props... That is a crazy season
  12. Troy Aikman Joe Montana Jim Kelly All never hit 4000 yards in a 16 game season, yet all 3 are Hall of Fame QBs known for running explosive and innovative offenses decades after Namath played. Doesn't seem possible but it's true. Elway just broke 4000 one time in his career. To me that puts that 4000 yard season back in 1967 when they only played 14 games in perspective, and I'm no Namath fan.
