  1. Yeah, KC is way ahead on the lines and even on defense overall. Their defense is fast, hits hard, and always harasses the QB. They are going to curb stomp the Bucs. the game won't be close.
  2. I'll just come out and say it: Tampa has gotten lucky 2 weeks in a row. They are not consistently driving the ball. Teams are gift-wrapping them TDs and giving them short fields. You saw what happened when they need to press: Brady threw a pick on 3 consecutive drives. Tampa has put a lot into getting up early then sticking around and waiting for the timely fumble or pass interference call. Washington just wasn't a playoff team, but the Saints and Packers gave them those games with turnovers and poor coaching. Without a whole lot of effort, I can come up with an 18 point swing for Green Bay Here's 14 free points for Tampa: 1. the play right before halftime 2. the fumble right after haftime by the Packers to set TB right up around the 10 Here's 4 fewer point than Green Bay should have had: Rogers doesn't run in the easy 3rd down TD Green Bay really should have won that game going away, but they just plain blew it. LeFleur cost his team 3 times: 1. Doing nothing with one of Brady's picks. 3 and out 2. Doing nothing with another one of Brady's picks. 3 and out again. 3. Not going for it down 8 at the end. Worst case scenario you miss and TB takes over on their own 8. Pettine's defense came up with 3 consecutive picks and you got 6 points, Lefleur. With the supposed MVP. At home.
  3. Rodgers career has been wasted in Green Bay by poor coaching and a lack of talent. When GB went for that FG instead of the TD at the end of the game yesterday you knew it was over. If you don't make it TB gets the ball at their 8, maybe closer to the goal line depending on the outcome of the play. Gutless coaching. the MVP with the ball in his hand with a play to tie the game, and they say "nah we'll kick the FG and play defense"
  4. 60. Trey Smith OG Tennessee 61. Aaron Banks OG Notre Dame 77. Kenneth Gainwell RB Memphis 98. Tedarrell Slaton DT Florida 147. Malcolm Koonce EDGE Buffalo 160. Quinton Bohana DT Kentucky 190. Tre Brown CB Oklahoma 201. Tariq Thompson S San Diego State
  5. overall, I agree: more speed BUT I am hoping for at least 1 gigantic, angry man to play DL or OL You also cannot coach size
  6. I'm also not for becoming a running team by any means, but it would be nice to have a real threat for short yardage plays.
  7. Oliver is the reason I love big, sloppy DTs with a mean streak. You cannot coach or teach God-given massive bulk. Oliver is a high effort guy but he is just plain too small.
  8. 1. Spend a high pick on a top RB prospect, if there is a guy there still at 30. 2. Bulk up the OL with some maulers in mid to late rounds. Draft some of these guys: (all info from Walter Football) Aaron Banks, G, Notre Dame Height: 6-5. Weight: 330. Projected 40 Time: 5.33. Projected Round (2021): 2-4. Chasen Hines*, G, LSU Height: 6-3. Weight: 349. Projected 40 Time: 5.49. Projected Round (2021): 2-4. Michal Menet, C, Penn State Height: 6-4. Weight: 302. Projected 40 Time: 5.24. Projected Round (2021): 3-5. Trey Smith, OT/G, Tennessee Height: 6-6. Weight: 320. Projected 40 Time: 5.32. Projected Round (2021): 2-3. Travis Etienne, RB, Clemson Height: 5-10. Weight: 200. Projected 40 Time: 4.46. Projected Round (2021): 1-2. Najee Harris, RB, Alabama Height: 6-2. Weight: 230. Projected 40 Time: 4.53. Projected Round (2021): 1-2. Javonte Williams, RB, North Carolina Height: 5-10. Weight: 220. Projected 40 Time: 4.53. Projected Round (2021): 2-4. Larry Rountree III, RB, Missouri Height: 5-10. Weight: 210. Projected 40 Time: 4.5. Projected Round (2021): 3-5.
  9. my #1 wish! 6'5, 343... get him into some Buffalo area establishments and he could bulk up a bit to 360ish. Him and Star next to each other at DT is a nice start. Wait a second... THIS is my guy at DT! Quinton Bohanna, DT, Kentucky Height: 6-4. Weight: 367. Projected 40 Time: 5.66. Projected Round (2021): 4-6. From Walter Football.... Slayton and Bohanna at DT together? A guy can dream, right?
  10. I think the draft was pretty productive, aside from the lack of big dudes on the OL/DL Hopefully this year they bulk up the DL
  11. Tampa has not consistently had to drive the ball down the field. Both NO and GB gift wrapped him a free TD. If KC doesn't turn it over and if they score the way they can Tampa will not be able to keep up. Brady is tossing air mail balls right to safeties.
  12. We need a wrecker on the DL. Hughes is a good player, but we need someone who gets home. KC had 3 guys getting in seemingly every other play. We're missing a Bruce and a Thurman.
  13. White wasn't "a problem" any more than Karl Malone was a "problem" against Jordan. Elite talents, and sometimes you just get beat.
  14. I wonder if the league goes to 17 games how that will factor in to the opener.
  15. Yeah, I get both sides of it. I didn't love the decision to go for 2 there, but it's defensible. Not going for the TD and settling for FGs inside the 10 makes no sense.
  16. Keep the game alive, so you kick the XP and make it a 16 point game. All of a sudden you recover the onside kick and have a shot to go get 6 THEN go for the 2 to make it an 8 point game, 1 score. By missing the 2 pointer you took most of the excitement out of the onside recovery. Didn't get the decision at the time. Always stay alive in games, so that when you get a big play (like the onside recovery) you have the chance to capitalize! Agreed, especially in the 2nd half. Kick the FG you probably lose. Miss the TD you probably lose. Score the TD you have a shot. Only 1 of those situations is positive, so you try for that one.
  17. So the plan was to knock him out of the game? So the Browns, who supposedly did better than the Bills, should get "credit" for knocking Mahomes out of the game in the 3rd quarter and STILL LOSING because they couldn't do anything on offense and couldn't stop a career backup who had never played a playoff game from scrambling for a huge gain in a huge spot. The score was 19-3 at the half. Epic game plan by the Browns! They couldn't run, didn't do much passing, and couldn't stop the backup QB when they needed to. Other than that, they did great!
  18. Why would Lamar's yards not count? I get that, but we also had more passing yards than the Browns. The premise was that the Browns did a better job. Yet they had fewer yards and gave up almost identical total yards while facing a backup QB for a quarter and a half.
  19. to be realistic, they are probably twice as good as anyone else. 15X is a bit much.
  20. and BTW, the Browns faced next to zero offense for about 20 minutes of football due to Mahomes injury and still couldn't get the job done. KC basically stopped being able to play offense in the 3rd quarter, minus one crazy scramble. So those yards don't count? Allen rushed for 88 yards, while Chubb (69 yards) and Hunt (32 yards) combined to just beat him out with 101 total. Another way to put that is Allen outrushed both Chubb and Hunt, who are a top notch running game.
  21. Same. It's an obvious question that gets asked when you're watching with a group. "How come they are just showing KC?"
  22. I wouldn't necessarily say there will be capacity crowds this fall. Maybe 25-50%.
  23. I think it's to avoid the issue of anyone kneeling for the anthem. Guys on both sides of the issue, so why make it an issue at all? Stay in the locker room away from cameras. It's a bit of a bummer but it's not the end of the world to me.
  24. Yet we rushed for more yards vs KC than the Browns did. That game was only close because Mahomes went out with a quarter and a half to play.
  25. Let's accept your premise: the Browns did a better job against KC. The score was 19-3 at half and 22-10 at the end of the 3rd quarter, in which Mahomes was hurt. It took the Browns 3 entire quarters of football to score 10 points vs KC. Mayfield had 204 yards passing for the game with a TD and a INT. the Browns had around 110 yards rushing for the game. Look at the stats for the Browns game and the Bills game vs KC, and keep in mind Mahomes missed a quarter and a half vs the Browns: Browns: 308 total yards, 196 passing, 112 rushing, 5.1 YPP Chiefs: 438 total yards, 315 passing, 123 rushing, YPP Bills: 363 total yards, 234 passing, 129 rushing, 5.2 YPP Chiefs: 439 yards, 325 passing, 114 rushing, 6.9 YPP Bills outgained the Browns on the ground and in the air, gave up almost an identical number of yards (while facing Mahomes for the entire game, not 2.5 quarters) and scored more points. Not sure how the Browns did better.
