  1. He actually got the completion on that due to the penalty being declined!
  2. Agreed! You can still see some big hits, but honestly I don't miss seeing a SS like Atwater coming in like a heat seeking missile and practically decapitating a WR across the middle. I also like seeing the stars play more games and miss fewer due to injury. The game has evolved. It is still a physical game (far from a "Pro Bowl") but more like rugby, where there are hits and there is physicality but the stupid stuff where guys fly head first looking for the KO is becoming a thing of the past. Football is only going to continue to grow in popularity with the rise of new stars. Remember when there was a legitimate worry about who the next batch of QBs would be after the Favres, Mannings, Bradys, etc. retired? No issue there: we have tons of exciting, young QBs that are leading teams into the future. Also, few other sports allow for the teams that have been down to get back up. Teams that weren't traditionally strong have a shot at becoming the new power teams in the league. BUF, CLE, CIN, ARZ are just a few that were down and out for most of the past decade (or more) but have a real shot at winning consistently for a while. All of a sudden KC went from a mediocre team to a super team, mostly because of 1 player.
  3. If you hit on a few picks per year you'll have a good team. If you win the lottery and hit on 4-5 picks in a couple drafts in a row you are an elite team.
  4. They just have zero talent on offense at the skill positions... It's like they are determined to give the QB zero help. I'm fine with it, but it's crazy!
  5. Belichick wants him upset so some team swoops in with an offer sheet and BB gets picks. GENIUS!
  6. And yet I watch guys like Cowherd or read articles written by national writers and they seem to keep saying Allen is "struggling" LOL It's insane how many people just can't stand this guy for whatever reason. You also hear "passing numbers are way up this year, so it's not a big deal" YET, Allen is still #1 in yards and top 10 in almost everything else that matters. So his ranking relative to all the other QBs is fantastic, yet some still want to explain it away. Luckily, the only thing that matters is that Allen is good, getting better, and the Bills are winning much more often than they are losing!
  7. When it comes to concussions you've got to be very careful what you say and how you handle it. There's "healthy enough to play" and then there's "healthy." Saying you are going to save a guy aside and let him heal up for the stretch run is a slap in the face to the guys who are out there banged up and trying to go.
  8. They are taping him up Can't be something too serious but I'll bet it hurts tomorrow morning
  9. It's weird how there is this narrative around the league that Allen is struggling this year
  10. Eric Bieniemy would be my pick of those mentioned. His passion and intelligence, coupled with his time with Reid, would be perfect for a team with a young QB.
  11. Colin Cowherd was talking about this too... It's weird. Then again, Miami has Houston's 1st round pick, which looks to be very high in the draft right now.
  12. Have any games been moved lately? It seems like after the initial flurry things settled down.
  13. Wentz is so reckless... It's insane how little discipline he shows
