  1. A guy on WGR quit his job because of the Josh Allen pick. Can't remember his name but I've heard of Josh Allen lately! Instant reactions can be fun but don't mean much. On the plus side for the kid who quit WGR, almost any job you could imagine pays more than working behind the scenes in radio.
  2. I was a little bummed about this, but Beane has always found huge guys late to fill that role. The fact that we took a handful of huge linemen made it easier to take, although I didn't love the talk of Rousseau "slimming down"
  3. Right now, I agree. but neither of those guys had the chance to play in games that really meant something. Hughes is still going strong, and therefore has the chance to make a huge play in a conference title game, for example, that would put him above those 2. We all love Fed Jackson and Kyle Williams, but Bills fans will remember the play where Hughes rips free of the blatant hold by the Seattle RT and hits Wilson to force the fumble that the Bills recover for a TD to end any chance of a Seattle comeback and seal the team's 1st Super Bowl win. That type of thing is still possible for Hughes, so his legacy is not complete.
  4. We saw Butler in an office supply store right before his rookie season. We went there to get printer ink and there was an enormous guy in line in front of us wearing an NFL Rookie Symposium t-shirt and I recognized that it was him. I didn't bother him or say anything but it was the first time I saw a Bills player out and about. To make this more related to the thread, I never thought he would be a guard.
  5. I think it's close, but right now I would say no. But his career is still going, and if the Bills get to the Super Bowl all it takes is the LT/RT not holding Hughes' jersey tight enough on one play and BAM! we've got a Carolina/Denver SB situation. I have almost no memory of that SB except for Von Miller strip sacking Newton and knocking the ball free for his teammate to recover for a defensive TD. Hughes makes a play like that in a SB the Bills win he's on the wall and it's a no-brainer. Funny thing is that DL seem to always show up in the Super Bowl. It's like they become a step or two faster. I could see Hughes having that type of game.
  6. This means that Edmunds is under contract through 2021 and 2022 then? Sounds like an Allen extension is coming in the relatively near future, but it's nice to also have Edmunds signed for the next 2 seasons as well.
  7. Shanahan's worst nightmare is having a commanding lead in the 4th quarter of the Super Bowl...
  8. I'm worried this means we won't get an embarrassingly enormous DT now...
  9. Bummer... Still, plenty of talent on the board
  10. Please let Paye fall to the Bills
  11. If there's a trade does the fan in the chair have to get up and move?
  12. Oh wow! I'm watching on NFLN and I haven't heard it
  13. Where did the chime sound go for each pick?
  14. So that was fun! Lol Rodgers plays for GB in 2021
  15. I've always wondered how Elway views his SB ring as a GM vs a QB
  16. If Rodgers retires they get nothing. Green Bay needs to act now while they can get a ton of assets.
  17. This would not be out unless Rodgers was truly done there.
  18. According to Trey Wingo Rodgers was told by the Packers that they would trade him, then they changed their minds. That makes more sense than "we're committed to him" after trading up for Love.
  19. Rodgers has made about a quarter of a billion dollars. He has been talking about Jeopardy more than football lately. He holds all the cards. He could retire and host the game show. Quarter billion in the bank, good health, still a star on TV. AND when Green Bay inevitably crumbles without him the GM and HC lose their jobs. By doing this, he has them in an impossible spot. They are in no position to say "fine, retire." Doing so will just put a spotlight on their idiotic drafting and mismanagement last year, AND on the Love decision, because he would be the guy in 2021. There would be nowhere to run. When it doesn't work, all the talk will be about how Green Bay wasted Rodgers career, and the people in charge will pay the price. The only price Rodgers would pay is being out of the league, going out as the MVP with 1 SB ring and a quarter billion in earnings. Eventually he'll get what he wants.
  20. Maybe Rodgers can threaten to retire unless GB redoes his deal to a 1 year deal that makes him a free agent after 2021, no franchise tag allowed. Basically do what Brady did.
  21. We also really didn't score much on offense against them. It was pretty clear that they were the better team both times. Hopefully we can get a player or two to tip the scales!
  22. Same! The part about it being fun to see was the idea of Rodgers for Wilson, just for the storylines there.
  23. Brady did his best to lose the NFC Title Game. Part of me wondered if he was just tossing picks on purpose, it was that bad.
  24. 49ers should offer: Bosa Jimmy G (has anyone heard from him lately, BTW?) 3rd overall 2nd round pick $100
