  1. I wonder if the league goes to 17 games how that will factor in to the opener.
  2. Yeah, I get both sides of it. I didn't love the decision to go for 2 there, but it's defensible. Not going for the TD and settling for FGs inside the 10 makes no sense.
  3. Keep the game alive, so you kick the XP and make it a 16 point game. All of a sudden you recover the onside kick and have a shot to go get 6 THEN go for the 2 to make it an 8 point game, 1 score. By missing the 2 pointer you took most of the excitement out of the onside recovery. Didn't get the decision at the time. Always stay alive in games, so that when you get a big play (like the onside recovery) you have the chance to capitalize! Agreed, especially in the 2nd half. Kick the FG you probably lose. Miss the TD you probably lose. Score the TD you have a shot. Only 1 of those situations is positive, so you try for that one.
  4. So the plan was to knock him out of the game? So the Browns, who supposedly did better than the Bills, should get "credit" for knocking Mahomes out of the game in the 3rd quarter and STILL LOSING because they couldn't do anything on offense and couldn't stop a career backup who had never played a playoff game from scrambling for a huge gain in a huge spot. The score was 19-3 at the half. Epic game plan by the Browns! They couldn't run, didn't do much passing, and couldn't stop the backup QB when they needed to. Other than that, they did great!
  5. Why would Lamar's yards not count? I get that, but we also had more passing yards than the Browns. The premise was that the Browns did a better job. Yet they had fewer yards and gave up almost identical total yards while facing a backup QB for a quarter and a half.
  6. to be realistic, they are probably twice as good as anyone else. 15X is a bit much.
  7. and BTW, the Browns faced next to zero offense for about 20 minutes of football due to Mahomes injury and still couldn't get the job done. KC basically stopped being able to play offense in the 3rd quarter, minus one crazy scramble. So those yards don't count? Allen rushed for 88 yards, while Chubb (69 yards) and Hunt (32 yards) combined to just beat him out with 101 total. Another way to put that is Allen outrushed both Chubb and Hunt, who are a top notch running game.
  8. Same. It's an obvious question that gets asked when you're watching with a group. "How come they are just showing KC?"
  9. I wouldn't necessarily say there will be capacity crowds this fall. Maybe 25-50%.
  10. I think it's to avoid the issue of anyone kneeling for the anthem. Guys on both sides of the issue, so why make it an issue at all? Stay in the locker room away from cameras. It's a bit of a bummer but it's not the end of the world to me.
  11. Yet we rushed for more yards vs KC than the Browns did. That game was only close because Mahomes went out with a quarter and a half to play.
  12. Let's accept your premise: the Browns did a better job against KC. The score was 19-3 at half and 22-10 at the end of the 3rd quarter, in which Mahomes was hurt. It took the Browns 3 entire quarters of football to score 10 points vs KC. Mayfield had 204 yards passing for the game with a TD and a INT. the Browns had around 110 yards rushing for the game. Look at the stats for the Browns game and the Bills game vs KC, and keep in mind Mahomes missed a quarter and a half vs the Browns: Browns: 308 total yards, 196 passing, 112 rushing, 5.1 YPP Chiefs: 438 total yards, 315 passing, 123 rushing, YPP Bills: 363 total yards, 234 passing, 129 rushing, 5.2 YPP Chiefs: 439 yards, 325 passing, 114 rushing, 6.9 YPP Bills outgained the Browns on the ground and in the air, gave up almost an identical number of yards (while facing Mahomes for the entire game, not 2.5 quarters) and scored more points. Not sure how the Browns did better.
  13. The Browns came inches from beating them because Mahomes got hurt in the 3rd quarter. He was 21/30 for 255 yards and a 1 TD passing and 1 TD rushing already at that point. And KC has a very under rated defense as well. KC is going to smash Tampa Bay. And I will enjoy seeing it. Tampa has not been driving the ball in their playoff wins. Both the Saints and Packers gift wrapped them short fields for TDs. Neither offense put any real pressure on Tampa to keep up. Yesterday Brady threw 3 picks and the Packers did next to nothing with them. The reason for all 3 of those picks was that Brady felt pressure and was trying to keep up to make sure Rogers couldn't come back. KC is going to score its points, and they have a DL that gets pressure from 3 different guys on a consistent basis. Chiefs will win by 10+ The Chiefs are Thanos. They are straight up bullying teams. Yesterday could have been 14 points worse in terms of margin, due to Hill dropping a perfect deep pass and Hardman fumbling the punt and handing us a TD.
  14. I'm surprised that Singletary regressed so much. He had some nice moves and made plays his rookie season. We absolutely MUST get a good running game next season. Our offense is too 1 dimensional.
  15. This Chiefs team is by far the best team I have ever seen play. It honestly seems like the only thing that stops their offense is that they get bored or lose focus for a drive or two. They are stacked everywhere. Weapons everywhere on offense. 2 very good RBs. HOF TE. Fantastic DL that gets pressure all game. Talent all over the back end on defense. HOF coach. It is an all-star team that also plays clutch. That's lethal. AND they banked a ring early on in the window. That is HUGE for a team. There's no "yeah, but" like Manning's Colts dealt with for years. You can even see that, if possible, Andy Reid actually got better as a HC and play caller this season with that weight off of him. Guys play with a different type of mentality. It's not "we've got to win one for Mahomes and Reid" anymore. People talked about how they didn't win big most of the season. Honestly, they were bored with regular season games, and when they needed a play they just made one to win those games anyway. Even when they seem disinterested they still win. If Mahomes stays healthy the entire Super Bowl they will win by 10+ depending on whether someone on KC drops a pass or fumbles on a given drive. That's the only thing that will keep the margin down. If KC brings it's A game they cannot be beaten. It's that simple. If they make mistakes, drop passes, fumble and injuries pile up Tampa might have a chance.
  16. When Sam Adams and big Ted lined up for us I used to literally LOL at some of the attempts to run against us. Plus Ted could get pass rush sometimes as well.
  17. An absolutely beautiful sight! Imagine a guy that size next to star!
  18. Defense really needs some help on the DL. Star will help, but we need a real threat at DE
  19. Just reading that makes me smile! I love 400 pound square DTs
  20. Mahomes could end up the GOAT. If he wins vs Brady in 2 weeks he has 2 rings by age 26 and a winning record vs Brady head to head. He'll also have the stats. Passing records will all fall. Don't forget the league wants to add a 17th game. Eventually the salary cap will catch up with KC
  21. Yes! I loved the Sam Adams and Ted Washington tandem we had. With Pat Williams in the rotation. Good luck running up the middle!
  22. I want a big, sloppy 360 pound DT who loves Buffalo's food scene and is strong as an avenger If he has Zimmer's speed that's perfect!
  23. KC is like playing a pro bowl team with a HOF level coach. They are stacked with talent everywhere and they are confident. The mental part of it is huge.
  24. It doesn't seem unbelievable at all. I wonder how many rings he ends up with.
