  1. I think it's between Buffalo, Green Bay and Las Vegas
  2. Oh, they will still get great offers, but not as great as they would now. If the Texans play their cards right, they could dig out of the gigantic mess that O'Brien left behind of few start players, no draft picks, and no hope. Trade Watson, a great QB but not irreplaceable, for a package that will sting the other team. Then you've got assets to flip for even more picks. build a team, get it ready to win, then hire a real head coach. But if ego gets in the way and they dig in on this they lose value.
  3. I think we're saying the same thing. As much as I love piling on Houston's circus show of an organization, they are playing this perfectly right now. The offers Houston will get now will be the highest they will ever get.
  4. I remember when Dez was part of the new trio in Dallas. When it goes bad for a WR it goes bad really fast. He went from great to looking like a practice squad player almost overnight.
  5. If something is absolutely not for sale, then the price is higher than when it is. There is always a price that gets a deal done. Would Houston take Mahomes, and Kelsey for Watson? OK, then there's a price. so who can pay it?
  6. Deal making 101. Someone has something you want and they don't want to sell it, and don't need to. You need to come in with a crazy deal just to get their attention. Once you do that, they see how desperate you are for it and ask for even more. Don't want to pay it? OK. They weren't looking to make the deal, you were. And you'll be back, trying to "meet halfway" as you negotiate against yourself and end up offering even more than your already insane "get their attention" offer. That's the position the Texans are in right now, but it is not going to last. The price for Watson's rights is at its peak now. Right now the Texans can say they have no desire to trade him and that he will play, and maybe he will. It's still believable, to some degree, that he is their QB. If I'm Houston I can say You want him? The price is going to really, really hurt. If we even have the conversation. You are going to have to blow us away, because he's our guy. All the pressure in that deal is on whichever team tries to get Houston's attention. Now if Watson eventually refuses to play for the Texans, and even sits out and starts to miss games things change. Now if I'm Carolina (for example) I realize that the Texans are in a tough spot. The longer this is an issue the more and more impossible it becomes for Watson to put the Texans uniform on and take the field for them. Thus, they either make a move by trading him or squander the chance to turn a mess into a win for them by digging in. Sure, he will still have value, but now I know Houston has a real problem and I'm more likely to want a good deal. The one who makes the phone call is in the weaker position, value of the deal-wise. That's fine, if you want the deal badly enough, but if it gets to the point where the Texans are calling teams back the offers will go down.
  7. If Barrett is fool's gold our line was aluminum
  8. I change my vote... He's coming here. 1. Blue and red hearts 2. chicken wing posts 3. references to snow 4. Mitocondria Research Society is located in Buffalo at Roswell Park (maybe he's already looking into causes to get involved with)
  9. Credit to PFT: look where the Mitocondria Research Society is located... https://rarediseases.org/organizations/mitochondria-research-society/ He's known for his philanthropy. Between this and all the red and blue, and the chicken wings, if he doesn't sign here it's cruel to Bills fans.
  10. Wentz just seems so broken. I like Reich, so I hope he can help him turn it around.
  11. Baker is Alex Smith with a bit more of an edge. Unfortunately for Cleveland, "an edge" doesn't win titles. Talent does.
  12. Is Cesario an inside job? Trade Watson to NE, end up back there when he gets fired (and collects the rest of his contract) in a year or two. Any other team I would say that's insane... But NE?
  13. Now wait just a second.... Big? angry? Maybe he just needs some of that sweet, sweet process? I'll bet his mindset changes if he comes to the Bills with a real shot to win.
  14. The only thing better than 1 gigantic angry man in the early/mid rounds of the draft? TWO gigantic angry men in round 2-4 of the draft! Trade back, pick up an extra 2nd from a team that has 2 and get the largest, most talented, most angry men you can find in round 2. then BPA for the rest of the draft. With an extra 350+ pound DT in the late rounds as a flyer.
  15. Imagine yourself, an avid life-long Bills fan, grew up in WNY, superstar DE, went to UB, love the Bills through and through. Then you get drafted to the Cardinals, and have a great career out in the desert. Make tons of money, get some accolades, but the team is bad now. Eventually, you ask for and secure your release. You can sign anywhere, and the Bills are suddenly a great team, 1 game away (and maybe 1 defensive playmaker away) from winning that first Super Bowl you used to dream of as a kid. Minus the first super Bowl and suddenly being good teams parts, Watt is in that position with Green Bay right now.
  16. That's perfect. I like a 2 year deal, in case he is really great.
  17. The major prep I want to see Star doing is to commit in the dining room. I want a 350+ lb DT on this team!
  18. The Browns might be close to my #1 most hated team. I can't stand them, and if they had made the Super Bowl I would have actively rooted for Tom Brady and the Bucs to put 50+ on them.
  19. All that missed time could mean he would be cheaper to sign. My concern is that he's only 315 pounds... If he commits to putting in the time in the dining room this off-season I say go for it!
  20. Watt to Green Bay makes the most sense to me, except they don't like to invest in players who can actually help them win. The Bills make the 2nd most sense, as we have a need at DL and are right there in terms of the SB.
  21. NFC is going to be really interesting next year. I hope Brady stays healthy and makes the playoffs, so someone can beat him in a playoff game and add to his legacy as a QB. To be the man, you've got to beat the man.
  22. I had a dream last night that the Bills traded out of the first round... no idea what happened next though
  23. I think Rodgers would settle for another capable WR at this point. Hard to win a team game when you don't have the horses.
  24. Brady is a big part of this. These young guys want rings, because they play in an era where an old guy gets talked about as being super human for playing on an all-star team while they are being pummeled on a weekly basis and have 1 WR to throw to and mediocre defenses. Well, maybe not Aaron... LOL Nobody has gotten more mileage out of 1 ring than him. that said Brady only had 3 at age 37. But there's that pesky NFC title Game in the way....
  25. It would at least give opposing OL a dilemma of which guy to blatantly hold every play. I say sign him and put him on a pitch count until the playoffs. We need him to peak in January.
