  1. Back when the Falcons crushed America's soul by blowing that huge lead in the Super Bowl I made a simple wish: That they enter a never-ending cycle of blowing huge leads as penance for what they had done. And it looks like for the most part that has come to pass! To be serious though, it is amazing how quickly that team just collapsed. They went from MVP of the league QB and 12-13 wins and a 28-3 lead over the pure evil empire to just nothing immediately.
  2. Honestly, I would rather see Milano rest up and come back 100% for the stretch run, rather than reinjure himself and be hobbled for most of the season. We all want this game, but it's still just a week 5 game in October. Last year, the Saints beat the Bucs twice, fairly handily each time. Nobody really cares, because the Bucs beat them in the playoffs in the game that really mattered and went on to win the Super Bowl. I'm not saying this game doesn't matter, because it IS huge and exciting, but these teams will likely meet again in January. I want a 100% Milano in those games.
  3. Looks like that lineman didn't take kindly to Baker trying to sell his shoulder pads outside of the stadium
  4. It's weird... even when NFC East teams are decent I just don't like watching Giants/Cowboys or WFT/Eagles or Eagles/Giants for the 9,000th time on MNF/SNF
  5. I don't like the Chargers or the Browns, not by a long shot. Line skippers annoy me. Wait your turn, newbies, it's the Bills time! I hope we become like NE and just crush dreams every postseason. _______ is the greatest and the best! Then they come here and we send them packing in January for the next 15 years. It'll be beautiful!
  6. I think the NFC East is my least favorite division to watch overall
  7. Once you look for it you'll notice it. I saw it a bunch last weekend, especially once I started looking for it. Big PI... "I don't know about that call" say the commentators... fans start booing like crazy... 1-2 plays later: holding on the offense (which could probably be called almost every play)
  8. Agreed that there is no upside. The focus is on winning a Super Bowl. Let's not divide the fanbase and locker room arguing over the vaccine or who booed who or if they booed. This could 100% cause divisions in the locker room if it becomes a bigger story. If it gets blown up in the media and fanbase people are going to naturally take sides. Some will feel the need to stand up for Cole vs. "the fans"
  9. One thing I've noticed is that when there's a big PI penalty that upon replay seems questionable it's almost always followed by a holding call on the offense, usually on 2nd down. It's never mentioned on the broadcast as a "make up call" for obvious reasons.
  10. I think the reason why many college coaches fail in the NFL is that they actually aren't great coaches. Guys like Meyer probably aren't terrible, but IMO they are middle of the road coaches who can recruit the best players at the big name programs and therefore win almost every game due to having a huge talent advantage. That obviously doesn't work in the NFL, thus Meyer's comment that "every week is Alabama." NFL ball is about schemes, strategy, and execution of a game plan. You'll get a few games a year where if you have a Super Bowl contender team you have an easy week, but most teams are about even talent-wise. Chip Kelly actually had a winning record in 3 years in Philly, so I would say that proves he's a pretty good football coach. I think Nick Saban being right around .500 in Miami with guys like Cleo Lemon and Joey Harrington at QB proves he is truly a good football coach. Urban Meyer seems like a guy who needs that distinct talent advantage, otherwise he is exposed and walks away when things get tough.
  11. I keep reading this as "Brady effusive over Josh Allen" every time I scroll... LOL Well, that'll be true later in the season when the old goat heaps praise on the young gun who just came into Tampa and lit up his team.
  12. Arizona is already nasty... imagine them with Gilmore as well
  13. Manning and Rodgers were the "best QBs in the league" for years. Meanwhile, the chubby kid from Michigan who only threw screens and check downs has 7 rings and is still playing.
  14. I think the players could have looked past it if they respected Meyer to begin with and if he owned it. From the videos, it appears that Urban and this young lady were both fine getting up close and personal. That's between them and Meyer's wife to figure that part out. It's not like many of the players haven't had women come up to them in a very open way in a bar/club. There's also been plenty of well-known drama involving players and their wives/girlfriends. But an NFL head coach is supposed to be the guy who lives at the facility, whose greatest joy in life is a lost hour of sleep watching film. Players are going to respect a coach who is doing the work that he is telling them to do, plus some. I think Meyer's biggest problems with the players is that he preached that "nobody will work harder than us" then: #1: He abandoned them on their flight home after a heartbreaking loss #2: He was out partying without a care in the world while they were flying back, going through security, getting back to the facility, getting home late, etc. #3: He brought up Trevor Lawrence's name in his "apology." A totally slimy thing to do. #4: He cancelled a team meeting to avoid facing the players. In short, he looks like a clown and a phony. He's a "family man" who works harder than anyone else, yet everything he does undermines his own persona. Guys can see right through that, and nobody respect that.
  15. Do you think she wants the french toast? To me she seems like she wants Dad to go home...
  16. Chargers could be a problem HOF QB, great defense, no longer costing themselves games due to awful coaching
  17. So I guess this settles it... It was all Brady
  18. A little piece of my soul dies every time I see Brady win
