  1. I actually don't mind Brady as an announcer. Not sure what happened to me
  2. Go Bills! Wait a second.... Do we have Tommy today?
  3. The Vikings feel like the Steelers of the NFC to me .. Great record but I have no idea if they're really good
  4. Panthers are showing some fight and aren't totally out of their division race if they win
  5. This season has definitely changed how I view McDermott. I was in the "we need to be better" camp lately, but when you look around the league McDermott is just as good as almost anyone else, IMO. Andy Reid is a class of his own, but there's only 1 Andy Reid. I still say he's the uncrowned GOAT. Last night during the Lions/Packers game I was ranting about how much I cannot stand LeFleur, and how he squandered back to back MVP seasons by Rodgers and his teams never show up in the playoffs, and someone watching the game with me said "well, you could say all the same things about McDermott..." To some degree, but there are a couple huge caveats: 1. Allen was and is still early in his career. Rodgers was an established HOF level player (thus back to back MVP seasons) 2. McDermott's defenses typically enter the playoffs decimated with injuries. Lefleur's offenses did not. 3. McDermott has never had the #1 seed. Packers did. 4. McDermott has to compete in a much tougher conference, especially in recent memory. Most of the top QBs are in the AFC, although there are some young and up and coming QBs in the NFC. We have to get past Jackson, Mahomes, and Burrow, let alone the 2nd tier guys. The main thing people can legitimately say against McDermott is that he hasn't found a way to get past the Chiefs dynasty in the playoffs. I think he will this year, but that remains to be seen. If you take emotion out of it, there is a LOT of mediocre to bad coaching in the NFL. There's also quite a few flash in the pan type guys like Doug Pederson, who caught lightning in a bottle once, looked like great coaches, then flamed out. In fact, Pederson is a great example of "just get to the game." If you get to the Super Bowl you have a chance to win it, no matter what. But you have to just get there. I would go this far, with the NFL the way it is, so much talent, single elimination, the way a game can shift on a penalty, fumble, missed kick...: you could regather a 4 win team in February, get everyone back in town, and put them in the Super Bowl against either conference champion, and I think it would be a hell of a game still. So, you just need to get there, and McDermott is definitely good enough to get there. More to the point, he's good enough to get there more than once, and the more times you're IN the Super Bowl, the more times you have a chance to win the Super Bowl.
  6. Hey, Paterno coached until he was 85 so Belichick could have a decade of coaching still in him. It's hard to imagine him coaching in college, but then again he would have total control, be a legend on campus, and the college environment is a lot of fun. He would also be able to be the grumpy taskmaster type with younger players more so than with NFL players.
  7. They had the 49ers beat last playoffs before melting down They really should have been in the NFC title game vs Detroit
  8. He heard you! Lol
  9. Green Bay always looks angry including the coach
  10. That was a pretty play I wonder what Lefleur was going nuts about before the snap?
  11. Great game! Having 2 of the the Thanksgiving teams play the next Thursday as well makes for a better product
  12. Both these teams are physical up front
  13. It sounds like the game is being played in a library
  14. I thought the same... Seems very subdued
  15. I'm surprised I do but the heart feels what it feels! Lol
  16. It's more the Packers in general. They are the aww shucks version of the Cowboys. Everything they do it's "Love is MVP!" But unlike Dallas you're supposed to love them because they play in the middle of nowhere and Lombardi coached there and it's cold and frozen. Lefleur is a mediocrity who wasted Rodgers career. People get on McDermott for not winning it all with Allen. Lefleur's teams laid an egg every year in the playoffs. They had 2 HOF QBs back to back and mismanaged both at the end instead of trying to win. They had HOF QB play for almost 40 years and won 2 rings. That's pathetic. Plus Lefleur is an arrogant punk. That's about it
  17. 2nd half Love where he just chucks deep balls that are always caught
  18. Lions unbeatable? They're going to lose tonight IMO Bundle Save should have been a super bowl commercial I lol every time
  19. Second effort got it. Stick to dodgeball Lefleur
  20. I wonder if Glenn will be a HC next season
  21. Love only plays after halftime but then he's unstoppable
  22. I hate Green Bay I know, it's not acceptable but I cannot stand Lefleurs face.
  23. Looking at the playoff machine for the NFC as of today (in no particular order): Lions Eagles Packers Vikings Seahawks Falcons Commanders Lions and Eagles are both good, although I think the Lions are much better overall than the Eagles. But this looks a lot like those years where Brady padded his ring count against the Panthers or McNabb Eagles teams. It could be Bills/Falcons or Bills/Vikings or Bills/Seahawks. Something crazy often happens in the playoffs. If it's any of the above matchups I would predict a 10+ point win for the Bills
  24. I always wondered what Hyde would look like in the red, white and blue! Awesome move!
  25. A guy like him would have his pick of OC jobs, likely on a top team that just lost its OC to a HC gig. I know it doesn't fit the type A uber competitive world of the NFL, but there's something to be said for being great at your side of the ball, being known by your colleagues for being great at it, being on a good, a winning team with top talent, making tons of money, getting to focus on your specialty to help that team win titles, and letting someone else run the big picture of the program and deal with all that stress. Come in to work with a top 5 QB and good offensive talent and your job is just to make the offense work and score points. HC can handle all the other tasks that are often thankless. It's not a bad world to be in. You'll get plenty of credit, and the job would be a lot more fun than getting hired as the Saints HC or Jags HC, for example, and getting fired in 2-3 years. It must really suck to be on a team with 4 wins right now, no chance of the playoffs, but having to put yourself through the prep and grind to play another 5 games.
