  1. Cowboys are in a world of trouble after that non-playoff meltdown at home last week. If it was a Wild Card game we all would get it. But this is the regular season champs we're talking about. In these spots I expect Dak and co. to come through and beat the Ravens pretty handily.
  2. This was a much better game than I expected
  3. Happy to see that drop just for the excitement of a final drive for Falcons
  4. True, but even just looking at Kyler Murray, who has similar measurables, there is a major difference in their builds. Young looks like someone's kid playing all time QB at a family BBQ or something. Jalen Hurts deadlifts pickup trucks for fun.
  5. Saints are the biggest surprise to me. They aren't just 2-0, they demolished both teams they have faced. Winning big in Dallas without it even being a playoff game? That is huge!
  6. agreed. Stroud has the physical tools. Young does not.
  7. Young looks like a kid playing with grownups. It sounds mean to say, but good lord the kid is going to get broken in half out there. His neck and arms make him look like he's 14. Couple that with a below average arm strength and it's hopeless. By all accounts he seems like a great guy, smart, hard worker, etc. But he is just plain too small to be an NFL QB. For reference, Tua is a few inches taller and outweighs Young by 20 pounds.
  8. they had the chance to set an all time NFL record and wimped out because they didn't want to hurt Denver's feelings. Football might be the only sport where continuing to play the game is considered an insult. I can't think of another. Neither can the football gods, whose displeasure was felt in many ways last season, one of which was forcing the Dolphins to play a game in Antarctic conditions in KC
  9. For whatever reason the Jaguars always seem to beat us. It's a tough matchup. We're going to need points against a desperate team.
  10. In my ideal world he becomes irrelevant like Hopkins did. Remember him? I wish him good health, a career as a team's #2 or #3, and lots of open mics to share his frustrations.
  11. Bengals are a tough matchup for both KC and Buffalo for whatever reason, and prove the old saying that the NFL is all about matchups. Burrow is 1-5 against the Browns in his career, yet people were calling KC's stadium Burrowhead because of how the Bengals always seemed to win against KC. This is why playoff seedings and matchups matter. Think of NE's Super Bowl runs where all they had to do was win 2 homes games vs the Titans and Jaguars and they're back in the SB. If the Bills secure the #1 seed and things fall a certain way it could be wins at home against the Jets and Texans (or something similar). Or it could be Wildcard Week vs Cin, then the Ravens, then KC.
  12. Caleb looks totally rattled all night Like so many drought era QBs
  13. Interesting to see how Williams handles this opportunity OL needs to block
  14. Bears should have hired an offensive minded HC
  15. Bears OL is laughably bad Their LT is getting beat every play
  16. So throwing a punch is ok
  17. And for some reason they cannot beat Cleveland
  18. A flag! But the right call unfortunately
  19. Either Ravens will be 0-3 or Dallas 1-2 Horrific start either way for Super Bowl contenders
  20. Lots of meh games but the weather is amazing so I'll just watch the night games. I'm curious to see how Rodgers does
  21. Very exciting to see Von play this well, and surprising to me. I also like his limited snaps. Keep the man healthy for crunch time.
  22. I never thought he would retire. All the "this is it for him" talk seemed like talking heads manifesting more than reality. To be 100% honest, if I were him I probably would not retire either despite the obvious risks. People do far more dangerous work every day for a hell of a lot less money. I would probably talk myself into taking additional steps equipment wise, playing the game a bit differently to protect myself and buying into the idea that a lot of it was just bad luck. Plus Mitch Morse and other players have continued to play at far more physical positions where the risk of smacking helmets is almost 100%. Not saying it's the "right" choice but it's his identity and his career. I wouldn't be able to walk away and would have to be told no by the team and league, which is not going to happen for obvious reasons.
  23. The pandemic taught companies of all types that people will pay a lot more than they thought for things they really want.
  24. Something I haven't seen mentioned is that it's not impossible that Tua took a few hits earlier in the game or even the Jaguars game that had dinged him up enough that one seemingly routine play out him over the edge. That's what I would be concerned about. 2/3 of the plays that he suffered diagnosed concussions did not appear to be particularly hard hits. The Bengals game one he was ragdolled. But other than that, were talking about routine football plays
  25. I thought of that too .. Rodgers had issues with his calf all summer before week 1 last year
