  1. Rex Ryan is an amazing defensive coach... When he actually wants to work. Even Brady brought him up unprompted tonight on the Manning Cast. Rex Ryan's defenses were a nightmare to deal with. When he was here we sadly got the burned out version of Rex.
  2. Colts are a very solid team that got hit with injuries and also had a brutal opening schedule. They'll be there at the end of the season, IMO
  3. The Mannings were about the only QBs who were consistently up to the task of taking on Brady and didn't just wither up and vanish after losing to him. Yes, Brady has the overall W/L over Peyton, but in the playoffs it's 3-2 for Peyton, including 3/4 AFC Title Games where they faced each other. It seems like every other team/QB is good for a challenge or two then their spirit is crushed, never to recover. Makes you appreciate Peyton even more! Totally get it, but statements are made in January/February. The Bears beat Tampa last season with Brady standing there confused, thinking it was only 3rd down. Didn't mean a thing. If the Bills and Titans meet again and the Bills win then last week is like it never happened.
  4. Shanahan is still living a curse in penance for what he did to America in the Atlanta/ne Super Bowl. Matt Ryan is just starting to recover.
  5. Eagles make a lot of sense... Also, if Watson is looking long-term and the chance to play in as many Super Bowls as possible, the NFC is the conference to be in. Most of the great young QBs are in the AFC. Aside from Murray, most of the top NFC QBs are older. The Saints should trade their next 10 1st round picks to Houston. That team is loaded with zero at QB.
  6. When you're on of the best teams, there won't be many great games on the schedule. Also, I did the unthinkable and pulled for you guys to defeat Brady and the Bucs, mostly because I've heard enough of how it was "all Brady" and he's god among men, etc. So not only did Brady win, but I also had to take 3 showers after actually pulling for New England.
  7. It might be easier to get federal funds along with state funds if the project is seen as more than just a football stadium.
  8. Bengals are no joke. I loved what I saw of Burrow last year before his injury. It seemed like he threw for a gazillion yards but just kept coming up short. Now they have a stacked defense and more weapons on offense. It's not crazy to think that the Bengals could win that division, especially with Mayfield banged up and the Ravens being wildly inconsistent (needing an NFL record FG to beat DET, then blowing out the Chargers, before getting blown out at home to the Bengals). Chiefs seem to rely on the home run ball, which has worked for years. But when that doesn't materialize, they just fall apart. Even their SB win was like that: nothing all game, then FINALLY they hit the long ball miracle play in the 4th quarter on (I think) 4th down. This year those plays are not happening, and their defense is horrible.
  9. How is this game unwatchable? Refs are a bigger issue than rain
  10. Colts blowing a 4th quarter lead in primetime?
  11. Josh has really learned to pick his spots in terms of taking a hit. Mahomes seems to take nasty hits trying to hold the ball long enough for his WR to sprint 70 yards down field
  12. Since when can you pick up a challenge flag?
  13. When do we get to see Brady look terrible and listen to the hushed voices of the announcers trying to make excuses for his multiple turnovers?
  14. KC could get hot at any time. The more losses they get the better for playoff seeding. Still, it seems that Peyton Manning and Eli Manning were the 2 guys Brady couldn't break. Everyone else and their teams are unable to play football after facing him in the super bowl or AFC title game, win or lose.
  15. Roger messed up enormously here. His leaking of emails to destroy Gruden made this an enormous scandal. Also, Florio is in heaven with this stuff. Anything to tear down the league he profits from himself.
  16. I think that's the perfect illustration of the paradox of fame. Sometimes, you just want to be a "normal person" and be part of the group but then people come up to you all the time, because they only have a 5 minute conversation with you, so it seems like no big deal. However, you have 50 5 minute conversations about the same thing with each person and it gets tiring. So people decide to respect your space and you stand there all alone. It has to be a bit weird. If I ever got to talk with Allen I would try to talk about farming.
  17. I am 99.9% sure I saw McDermott in the Wegmans by the stadium one evening. I was wearing my Zubaz mask (this was during the height of COVID when you had to wear masks in all stores). I could tell he noticed it and might have smirked (not 100% sure due to masks) but I didn't want to bother him. Plus, if it wasn't him that would have been embarrassing. The guy had an intense vibe just shopping for a few groceries! LOL You do see players there all the time due to it being right around the corner from the stadium. I can totally see how it would be obnoxious not to be able to run to the store without people bothering you, even though it does to some degree come with the job. There's a lot of guys who can more easily blend in, but imagine for a guy like Allen or one of the OL who is 6'7 300+ lbs it's a bit tougher.
  18. What's the question again? Sanders vs a guy who was just elevated from the Broncos practice squad?
  19. What a garbage game... This is good though... No way I want to see Cleveland with the 7th seed. My most desired wild card matchup is Cleveland vs Tennessee. Get one if those teams out early.
  20. Browns annoy me. I thought it would be cool to see them become good but they are among my most hated teams
